It would be a lot nicer if the decors were just moved around a bit and/or resized to be "company of ..." decors, with the OPTION of having a translucent jellyfish version. Why they weren't made as companion decors in the first place when even Eranthis got a companion decor has always been bewildering to me.

Posted 2024-02-24 10:17:26 #1161526 Yeah also don't care for that change, eliminates the idea of having your wolf with them, which works for a few select ones. Along with that, if it removes the wolf and all other decor, there goes some of the decor that kinda works with the datebles..

Posted 2024-02-24 10:22:29 #1161529 I'm not sure why people are so against the core concept of the dateable decors. I think it's cute that you can basically invite the dateables to live in your pack. It makes sense that eranthis would be more of a companion than a pack member - you didn't date them and they have their own job. Maybe companion decor can be introduced in future years. But the intention for these ones was always to be the main picture, so it makes sense that they finally automatically function that way like they should have from the beginning. Also,,,, no matter what the devs do there's people out crying. Thank you for the hard work! Thank you for the fun event!

Posted 2024-02-24 10:28:13 (edited) #1161531 About the jellyfish: it is nice, you want to get rid of the jellyfish but my brachy uses a Dateable Wolf decor and it works perfectly. Pluto would have to say goodbye to Sirmiq then, sad :/ I'd still prefer to have the option. brachy+Sirmiq

Posted 2024-02-24 10:42:29 #1161546 I'm not a fan of the changes to the dateable decor. Rather than change it from current form that allows the option of how to use it why not just give everyone 2 free jellyfish and/or make them available to buy in the shop with LB this year. Next year when event comes out include a reminder on day 1 that they would not be available to prevent the surprise some felt when being reminded halfway through the event. I think the staff does a great job listening to player feedback,  but maybe you could do a poll before making changes like that in future since a lot of players dont comment when they are fine with a decision, and the only ones you are hearing are the ones complaining which may not be reflective of how the majority feels.  It seems a shame to change it so others will no longer be able to use it as they have been. Would have just been easier to give out a few free jellyfish rather than change the entire mechanic of the decor.

Posted 2024-02-24 12:04:33 #1161599 Honestly I like this idea, with the dateable decor canceling out your wolf, it makes total sense. And there were way more people who complained about not getting a free jellyfish than there are complaining about this new update. So id say its a fair trade.
