Reduce The Amount of Pups/Wolves in Game (Fodder Use)

Reduce The Amount of Pups/Wolves in Game (Fodder Use)

Hello Staff/Devs/and readers!

The user made pup parade and the sister website Lioden's Gorilla Enclave inspired this idea. The economy and user base is alright now with the amount of wolves we have, but in the future we may run into an excess amount of wolves. The option to chase them is really nice, and I think it should be kept. But I'd also like to see a potential Pup Quest option, just like the Gorilla.

In which, an NPC will randomly generate a criteria for a wolf pup you need to hand in. The criteria can be easy, Medium and difficult depending on the type of rewards the player could want. The quest would roll over after 24 hours, or could be skipped with a Snake Skull.

I.e.
Easy- (one criteria)
Female pup with Blue eyes
Male Pup with Red Dilution

Medium (two criteria)
Male Pup with Red Dilution, Minimum of 119 Stats

Difficult (three criteria or difficult traits)

Female Pup with Red Dilution, Honey Shoulders, Grey Eyes
Pup Any Mutation

Just like the Enclave, the wolf would have to be a pup. Adols would not count, and neither would Adults. Rewards for turning in a pup do not have to be the same as Lioden though, as a limited amount of Levels your wolf can be would probably limit the use of Exp possibly gained. But offering perhaps Energy, Food Bundles, or perhaps a chance at rare decor drops could be implemented? I believe this would help with the over-breeding we are already seeing with some players (which is fine if you like to mass breed! I'm not going to tell you, that you should play any other way than the way that makes you happy!) but for those pups that don't get bought up, this could be an alternative?

I do not know much about coding, but I imagine the Lioden Gorilla Enclave could work as framework for what the devs would need to create?

Please comment with any ideas/fixes if you have them!
I'm sorry if I duplicated a post, I read over the titles but didn't see a copy of this suggestion.

i totally agree! I hate chasing pups, and no one wants to buy them. but with a mechanic like this, i could trade in pups for quests, or have them bought more easily because people want their traits for the enclave.

I think I like the general idea of having annother use for pups but I would rather see something new than a copy-paste from Lioden.

Support, I chase SO MANY pups. I'd love for a Gorilla Enclave equivalent to be added.

I support this. With the flood of pups now, there is very little demand for the more common bases. This would prompt people to buy from the TC.

I can envision the new gorilla being a 'mama bear'. I remember when we saw a doodle if herbert and instantly thought he was the new enclave, a bear just fits the job. Bears a fierce and loyal mothers and so I could see them taking an interest in doting on our babies.

Maybe, so she isn't too close to Herbert, this mama bear can be a different species than him.

I like this! It'd be cute, and it'd be nice to get some reward for puppies without it becoming a giant puppy mill incentive, which this works well for because it's only one a day.

I think a mechanic like this would have to be able to take multiple pups at a time! Considering that the average litter sizes so far seem to be 3-4 pups, foddering just 1 a day wouldn't make much of a dent in the numbers.

With the large amount of litters possible on WD we definitely need a mechanic for removing them to preserve to market. I certainly think that WD could benefit from something similar to LD's giving gorilla enclave. It'd allow for more site interaction as well, since It'd essentially be another quest. I like the challenge of quests and would love if we had some more.
