Reduce The Amount of Pups/Wolves in Game (Fodder Use)

I support some version of this that is similar to LD but not the same.

How about we turn pup parade (currently a member-run raffle) into an official raffle and you earn tickets by offering your puppies. This way we wouldn't have a copy-and-paste from LD taste, and we wouldn't be restricted to just "chasing" one puppy a day. There could also be a rotation of markings/bases/other characteristics (random and changes everyday) that we award additional tickets.

I'd like to see a mechanic implemented for 'sacrificing' unwanted pups in exchange for a reward, for sure, but would prefer it to not be so heavily inspired from Lioden.

I agree w/ others who have said there should be something similar but not the same as the gorilla enclave. Maybe like... Turning in ANY one pup thats not yet an adol for some small prize, like 10sc or something, once a day?

I'm not sure how much the OG poster wants us to suggest alternatives? But I had a few ideas as well.

Cool! I didn't want us to hijack the whole post.

So Idea #1: You can choose to entice a pup (not protected) to take a wander in your home biome. During their secret excursion, it gets found by one of the biome's enemies and is tragically killed. Your lead meanwhile notices them gone and tries to save the pup but earns a stat/item/exp/sc in return for their effort. (Earnings could be based on what you get from fighting the same enemy in explore for an example).

....and I forgot my second idea lmao.

Support! I like the gorilla enclave a lot in LD and it would be another good population control mechanic. 

It could have some decoration and base applicators too, later on in the game. But getting this as a mechanic relatively early on without many rewards wouldn't hurt either. New rewards/buyable items for "Enclave currency" could be just added once in a while.

I like the idea of there being some form of population control, but I wouldn't support an enclave copy-paste. Especially since I want this game to hold it's own and that I wasn't a fan of how the enclave was set up to begin with.


Personally, I would like for there to be some inspiration from the Pup Parade. Like making it a type of raffle that would last an in-game season each. We could have an NPC, though I feel that wouldn't be completely necessary. Even then, I would go for a species that isn't already an NPC of some sort. There is still plenty of animals that could become potential characters such as coyotes, bobcats, or cougars.
