He stretched his claws along the rock, taking in the pleasure it gave him as the grating noise gave him the shivers. Shaking his paw out, he admired the long, gleaming claws on his right paw, then switched to the other paw. Hiyaku rarely sharpened his hinds claws, they were too hard to reach. As he stared, focused on his rock and his left paw, he couldn't hear anything else other than the faint stir of leaves, and the scraping noise of claw against rock. His left ear flicked backward as he heard a faint stick crunch somewhere off in the distance. Ah, probably some of my packmates going somewhere or taking a stroll through the woods. Hiyaku stood up, then, glancing down at his left paw, sat down again. He would finish honing his claws and then go back to camp to see what needed to be done.
