Food and amusement have been devalued quite a lot with recent updates, and now certain trophies are much rarer due to fewer encounters (and they were already extremely rare to begin with). Not sure what this will mean. I can't sell food or amusement anymore even dirt cheap.

I can always sell food/toys for 2sc/use. I think that's the magic number right now. But also, don't pack too much into one sale. A big pricetag will scare potential buyers away.

Bulk food still sells great for me. Toys a bit less. The best strategy is to put up tons of sales with up-to-date prices and just let the money come in a bit at a time.

2 Year Anniversary update introduced talents, one of which allowed every member of the pack to reduce 5 percent points less mood, meaning wolves with this talent started dropping 5% mood instead of 10%.

Development Update #23 introduced socializing, allowing adult wolves to recover 5% of mood for free as long as you know how to match personalities.

With both these updates above, the mood reduction has been reduced from 10% to 0% for adult wolves while pups' mood reduction has been reduced for 5% per rollover. It means that wolves don't require any amusement items to be kept in pack, eventually just once per lifetime they need to be played with if you wanna breed them as they require 80% mood to be bred. Since amusement consumption got reduced to 0 for some players, there's no point of keeping amusement items of any of them, thus most players would rather get rid of amusement items than keep them for usage, devaluing such items.

Regarding food, there haven't been many updates that would devalue food items, maybe Development Update #18 allowing players to send multiple hunting parties at once to any discovered biome that increased the food income or maybe some events that were rich in encounters providing food. The price of food fluctuates depending on the season - during winter it's most difficult to find food from hunting so it's the most valuable then while its value is the lowest during spring/summer.

The new explore encounters include a lot of free food. Combined with the talent that reduces amusement uses... I can certainly see how both items are becoming less valuable. 2SC per use is pretty close to what the raccoon pays for food (& sometimes less).

Interesting. It bugs me to see my main guys at less than 100%, so I will continue using amusement. Never had to buy any though.

I use toys too, when I have some, especially for puppies. I usually have feathers and bones lying around. But I still socialize everyone too, because it gives them some EXP. Also, remnants left over from using toys are useful for crafting quests.

Also viewing a wolfs profile grants you a food or toy items, though mostly food, at some percentage.
