Honestly I wish more teams would reach out to a cultural consultant when things like this happen! Because no culture is a monolith but a good consultant should be able to help sort out any ambiguity. So definite props to the Wolvden team for taking that step!

I really can't understand why someone should get upset if their heritage is used in a game (as long as it's not in some way made fun of).

But back to the poll.
I'm not voting because I can't decide whether I prefer a necklace I've seen to a feather in a random place I haven't seen. It could be great, it could be horrible, how can I decide?
The necklace I found so-and-so (I voted for the bracelets).
The feather hanging from the base of the tail it might look good...

I will agree with everyone else saying the feather decor does not need to be changed. What about custom decor creators? There are all kinds of culturally and religiously specific imagery in there, but no one is has to pass a test proving they belong to that culture for it to be approved.
