Evergreen Lake Pack

Welcome to Evergreen Lake

The terrain here is quite rough, with many of the mountains being rock-strewn, boulders and rocks of varying sizes are speckled with different shades of grey, leaving the mountainsides a breathtaking view. Winter leaves its snow on the peaks and dusts the trees ever so slightly when the season changes, on uncommon occasions the whole park is covered in heavy, thick snowfall. It is advised to be careful when hiking through the base of the ranges. Mountain goats, Mountain lions, Bald eagles Pikas, etc. can be seen roaming the slopes.
Acres of lush greenery, mainly of Coniferous trees, Aspen trees and wildflowers, etc. surround the base of the mountain ranges, thriving and providing for the many faunae that call Evergreen Lake home. There are many kinds of plants, herbs, trees etc. such as Carrionflower, Redwood Sorrel, Yarrow and Feverfew, etc. that bloom nonstop about the land. We advise you don't eat the wild berries unless you're an expert in identifying them.
Southwest of the national park rests the Evergreen Lake, the water a beautiful crystal-clear blue with hints of emerald in the right sunlight. Two large mountains reside at the lakeside, with a few varying boulders placed in the cool water. Cattails and other water plants thrive on its bank along with the different types of birds who prey on bugs and dragonflies. When heavy winter comes, the lake freezes over and is hard to break through, however it still holds its amazing blue-emerald colour and has life thriving beneath its ice.
Lyrical River, 7.5kms(4.6ms) away from Evergreen Lake, runs from south to northwest. It separates into two; a narrower, faster riverway flows into the Lake while the main river continues its journey north, leaving other small streams along the way, these streams dry out in summer. Lyrical River is full of different water life and fish types, many mammals come to drink from its cool flowing water or swim, hunt and play. Though these waters are also dangerous, rapids and fast rushing water can easily drown beings that aren't being careful.
Heading 4.5kms(2.7ms) northeast of the Evergreen Lake, a mesa mountain known as the Larkspur Peak is a great place to rest up and take in the amazing view. Like the name suggests it is teeming with many wildflowers of all sorts but the Larkspur being the main because of its quantity and consistency. Whitetail deer like to frolic this hill-like mountain, munching on the fresh grass sprouts and little berries hidden in the small shrubs around.

Larkspur peak is where you may possibly spot the famous Evergreen Lake Pack, a family of 18 strong wolves who claim this park as theirs; the pack has been hunting, breeding and surviving here for an excellent 4 years.
