#109527 yeah, dry is definitely the right word i was like girl we are trying to love you as much as lugoshi does, give us something to work with! xD

im gonna give it another chance for season 2 as well, see where they take the story.fun fact, the woman who created beastars Paru Itagaki is actually the daughter of the guy, Keisuke Itagaki who created grappler baki, which is also on Netflix lol you can definitely feel some of the same energy in both shows.

And oh that's interesting! I've never actually seen that show before, I'll definitely check it out when I get the chance.

Most of the ones I'd suggest have already been mentioned, but one of my favorites (if not my absolute favorite) has yet to be seen from what I noticed!

I highly, highly, highly recommend Mob Psycho 100. It's made by the same creator as One Punch Man, but imo handles its characters and themes better (though that may just be my biased opinion, I'm not a huge fan of the comedy in OPM). It has the same general 'main character is op', but takes it completely differently and it does a fantastic job at making you love its characters.

the first two anime to jump to mind when i think of favourites are both in need of a reboot.....

Katekyo Hitman Reborn and SerVamp! i'd get on my knees and beg for a KHR reboot, preferably one that restructures the story a little so the Daily Life arc is less off-putting n more indicative of the rest of the series and also actually include the last arc. i'd beg for SerVamp too, except the manga isn't finished yet and that was the problem with the anime

Yuri on Ice is amazing, the only anime without some kind of magic i've loved, but Yuuri was robbed at the end

I think my all-time favs are as follows:

  • Wolf's Rain. Best OP of any anime ever, in my humble opinion.
  • Dr. Stone. LOVE the science. Really makes me appreciate how far we've come.
  • Yuri!! on Ice
  • One Punch Man
  • My Hero Academia
  • Castlevania (Anime inspired more like, but still)
  • Devilman Crybaby (The newer one)
  • Fullmetal Alchemist
  • Hunter x Hunter
  • Spongebob

I'm not currently watching anything but I recently saw Great Pretender on Netflix and hoo boy, that was great. I loved every second of it. I tried to watch Promised Neverland but I couldn't get past the first episode. I was kind of disappointed it went in a supernatural direction. I've heard it's very good and I'll probably pick it back up eventually but I was just kind of let down a little bit because I expected something different.

@Veila

I know right! The picture of all the cute lil' kids on Netflix (in The Promised Neverland) disappoints you after the twist. However I needed to find out what happened and I finished the season a couple days ago.  Sure I was hoping for something ... not dark, but It was well done and I can't wait for another season.

question for everyone-

Subs or Dubs? and why?

im subs myself because i like hearing people speak different languages and i just prefer how they tend to be translated..im not sure how to explain exactly what i mean

I don’t really watch that much anime, but I loved Death Note, both the manga and the anime. Hellsing is really good too in my opinion. Hellsing Ultimate follows the manga from what I remember, but Hellsing (2001-2002) doesn’t since the manga was completed 2008. Ultimate has a better story, but the 2001 has a way better soundtrack. I have watched/read Beastars and can recommend it too. I also watched Higurashi When They Cry, and that was pretty good.

@FoxTerrier

An unholy combination of both where I listen to the dubs, read the subs and compare the two as they play at once

@Veldora

Oh, I knew it was going to be horror! However, I was picturing more of a...how should I say this...rather than it being a supernatural element, I thought it was going to be a human element? Like, how Hannibal is just a guy and not a demon, if you know what I mean? I love supernatural horrors, but I also love horrors where it's just plain human evil and I was hoping it'd go in that direction.

@FoxTerrier

Subs, preferably, but sometimes I'll watch the dub when I don't feel like reading or when I'm eating (because I can't read when I eat, lol). Then when I start watching a dub, I'll stay with the dub just because I'm used to that. Like, I'm watching the dub for BNHA because I started watching it on Hulu.
