I'm having issues finding deer and musk ox, I play pretty much all day during the work day and use multiple energy bars. I've found one white tail deer. The coyotes I managed to get 2 packs of 3 to beat in one day =.

Aaaaa. I'm on the deer. I just came here to see if anyone else was having the issue. I have used 2 full bars and have not come across a single deer. :(

i'm getting these too, the deer one took like 7-8 bars to get my first encounter and i still haven't finished the coyote quest for similar reasons :( 		Motho

I've just searched Prairie and Taiga for 2 and 1/2 energy bars (2 Guaranas lost...) and I've found LOTS of enemies from the update and lots of those matchmaking encounters. Not a single coyote encounter. I think it took like 2 full energy bars to find even one pre-update enemy (a black bear). Getting frustrated because Guarana ain't cheap

odds of finding enemies needed are always nerfed for quests and it is the MOST AGGRAVATING thing, whether it be event quests, snake quests, or any other quest, and I'm just like...can we NOT?//?

Yeah, same :') I'm on day two of trying to find the stupid deer. Been exploring in Riparian Woodland all day, only got three of them so far.

Really sucks since I'm locked out of matchmaking until I can beat them, and I rolled over to play my silly wolf dating sim and not grind explore tbh. 		Silvery

I love not having the time to sit down and explore during my busier days and having to give up on the event entirely, until I can actually dedicate hours to finding these obscure encounters. I otherwise enjoyed being able to log in for a few minutes throughout my day and do holiday stuff, but getting soft-locked with quests that have reduced encounter rates on top of gems/flowers not properly working for days has me not wanting to play. Even if the encounter rate is not erroneously nerfed, the baseline rate is still too low for a one-off quest and should have been temporarily boosted in my opinion.

A shame since I've been enjoying this loads more than LD's grindfest. I understand wanting to make it more immersive with quests to break up the otherwise steady routine of dating/matchmaking, but if the quests aren't working properly then there should be an option to skip them (forfeiting the rewards in the process) or postponing them entirely.

Edit: I just noticed that this topic was necro'd from last year. That is disappointing, to say the least.
