-Deciduous Forest and Riparian Woodlands based on the number of possible enemies that can be encountered there and how many of those are the deer (at least where both species appear), those are the best biomes to explore. (2/15 possible opponents in these biomes are deer.) -For ox, glacier is better than tundra in terms of odds (2/14 vs 2/18). Also, herds should count for multiple (they did for me with coyote packs, but I never came across ox/didn't have the biomes unlocked yet). -For coyotes, the prairie is the absolute best biome. There are two species of coyotes you can encounter there, with single opponents and packs for both species (meaning 4 possible opponents out of the 17). I finished that quest in roughly 1-2 energy bars because of that! -Technically by the odds, muskox are easier to find than the deer, but obviously you need the glacier unlocked. -Group opponents seem to count for 2 or 3 (someone else can probably confirm that for me; by my count, which could very well just been off, it was 2, but someone else said 3 in another thread; it is likely the same as whatever groups count for with the snake's quests). Lastly, you are able to access the Current Wolves page to at the very least check for new applicants and manage them, but obviously still can't set up dates if stuck on the deer/ox quest. |
