OOC Note & Pack Update!Hiya guys! I'm back from yet another hiatus and I'll hopefully be able to stay this time around. Lol Pack reports and updates will return when spring arrives though so keep an eye out! Additionally, I won't be covering missed seasons just to make it easier on myself. There is an important note however that I don't believe was ever written about in a pack update previously so I'll list it below:
I believe that's everything though folks! Thank you for reading and I hope you are all looking forward to seeing what the pack gets into this year. |

Spring // Year 19 |
The Alhavenlan Pack // End of Season Report | |
---|---|
As spring comes to an end, the Alhavenlan Pack is looking a bit skittish. With the recent attack on the three younger members of their pack, they are quick to move westward to reinforce the scent posts bordering the disputed area. They are also making an effort to make their presence known now, letting their howls resonate through the Coniferous Forest and Taiga to make sure this rival pack knows what they're getting themselves into if they dare attack again. | |

Pack Research Report
February 2nd - 7th, 2023
3 Month Overview for Spring
Well, this has been quite the unfortunate spring for the Alhavenlan Pack! By the looks of it, they've been struggling to keep everyone fed as well as maintaining their borders now that the nearby Northwick Pack seems to be growing bolder with each passing day.
Hopefully they'll continue to stave off any attacks but I'm worried about the tensions rising if the sporradic attacks continue. Especially after the beating the yearlings took at the end of the first month. However, moving on to the pack's hunting news now, they had quite the rocky start this season! The Alhavenlan Pack seemed to have struggled locating where the herds moved to after winter ended and have just picked up on them again as spring comes to a close. I seriously hope this will give the pack the edge they need for the summer months and I'll keep my fingers crossed for all of them. The youngest wolves, Silea and Revanas, are still looking rather skinny as they seem to be the only ones left with the scraps of a carcass. That is if the other members allow them to even get close to the carcass whatsoever.
I'm worried that Revanas and Silea will split from the pack later this year but I'll be keeping a close eye on all of them as the seasons continue to change. That's however everything I believe folks! Thank you for reading and I hope you're all looking forward to reading future reports.

Pack Research Report
February 8th - 13th, 2023
3 Month Overview for Summer
To start things off, I'd like to just say that this is perhaps the best season these wolves have ever had since I started watching them! Not only have they recovered from their harsh winter in the Taiga when they lived there but now these wolves are consistently able to keep their bellies full. We've also seen them leave behind a few carcasses with a bit of meat left on the bones for scavengers. I am very impressed with these wolves and I'm beyond happy to see them all beginning to find their footing again.
Speaking of hunting news, the Alhavenlan Pack seems to be tailing a large elk herd as of late and occasionally a lone moose cow isn't far behind it. It's amazing to see these wolves pick out which elk to hunt and as of late they seem to have taken on the challenge of targeting a few elk bulls as of late which is stunning to me. If you told me this a few seasons ago, I wouldn't have believed that those scrawny wolves who were barely surviving out in the Tundra and Taiga would be chasing down elk bulls. And they hardly get injured in the process which is even more impressive. I'm so proud of these wolves, hopefully it's only a matter of time before they can rebuild their former strength and return to the Tundra however. Away from these harsh rival packs.
As for the rival packs go, we've observed the neighboring Northwick Pack sneak into Alhavenlan territory and attempt to steal a beaver carcass the Alhavenlan left behind back in early summer. They however, didn't even get the chance to finish off the remains of the carcass before Maelle and Silvhen caught wind of the intruders and quickly chased them out. However, it seems the two aren't looking for a fight and let the stranger wolves run off with only a few scolding nips. Although, I'm certain that this was only a warning and I know that if they try to sneak in again that they most likely won't hold back. These wolves use to be quite territorial after all and I'm surprised a full on battle hasn't broken out yet given how the Alhavenlan used to react to outsiders.
But, I'll continue observing the two packs. Hopefully it won't come to that as I know that the Alhavenlan are seriously outnumbered by the Northwick Pack. As for the Alhavenlan, I wish them the best of luck as we enter the cooler months of autumn and hope their hunting luck holds out for this season.

Pack Research Report
February 14th - 19th, 2023
3 Month Overview for Autumn
Well, autumn has offcially ended and boy is the pack in a rough spot for this winter. I was hoping they wouldn't have any sort of outbreaks before the winter months and I guess that just wasn't in the cards for them this time. Currently, the Alhavenlan Pack is suffering with the beginnings of an Ear Mite outbreak and almost all of their hunters are dealing with it as of writing this. I'll keep my fingers crossed in hopes the pack will be able to pull through this winter though.
As for hunting news, the pack did really well this autumn! They caught enough prey that they were capable of keeping their bellies full for the majority of the season and they even managed to take down a bison before winter hit! Impressive! At least they'll be going into the winter months with full bellies and if they are unable to hunt, they'll at least be able to handle a few weeks without eating.
Not much else seems to be going on with the pack however. They've moved southward to remain closer to the herds they located in the Coniferous Forest and none of the outside packs have tried anything as of late which is comforting. But, that's all for now folks. I hope you enjoyed reading this and please keep an eye out for the next report after winter ends! I've got a feeling it'll be one heck of a roller coaster given the Ear Mite outbreak. Until then folks!

After a long winter of dealing with an ear mite infection, the Alhavenlan Pack feels hopeful as they rapidly approach the warmer seasons. They move northward, locating a preferred den site of theirs in the Taiga and nestle in as Maelle digs it out. | |

Pack Research Report
February 20th - 25th, 2023
3 Month Overview for Winter
What a wild ride that was for the entire winter season, eh folks? The poor Alhavenlan have been tirelessly fighting with an ear mite outbreak and they just barely managed to scrape by with having a few uninfected hunters each week which is a blessing. I honestly expected it to go a lot less in their favor given how the entire pack was down for a brief portion of time.
Moving on to the hunting news, despite this rather large and constant outbreak of ear mites the pack managed to do significantly well! Thanks to their good luck, we even noticed a few denning habits from Maelle at the tail end of this winter so we may have a potential third litter coming soon! My whole crew and I are eagerly waiting to see the little pups as the pack could use some extra hunters given how the ear mite outbreak nearly took them out again.
I will continue keeping an eye on things however and I'll post a report the moment we catch sight of any new pups. For now, we will see you all again at the end of spring. Make sure to wish the Alhavenlan Pack the best of luck!

OOC UpdateHiya folks! I have some sad news for you all unfortunately. At this point in time, I will no longer be updating my pack thread. I just don't have enough spare creativity to continuously write hunting reports with all the writing I do as a hobby. Lol I'm sorry for everyone who follows this thread but you can still lurk on my pack and see how they're managing here as I'm going to continue my Wolvlocke Pack challenge. Lol If you would like to message me occasionally and see how they're managing, you're more than welcome to! I will always happily gush over my pack's successes whenever I can. LOL Thank you all so much for reading though over the years. Who knows though, maybe some day down the road I'll have some extra mental energy to get back into the habit of writing these but for now I won't be able to. Have a lovely day folks and I wish you all the best of luck. |
