Pack Research Report
June 24th, 2023
3rd Month of Autumn (Weeks 9 through 12)Autumn is finally coming to an end here in the Tundra and the pack seems more than prepared for it this time! The pack has managed to recover enough from their bad spring last year and are finally back to catching large game in the Taiga. We're unsure if Team 2 will remain hunting large game there this winter but we'll be keeping a close eye on things moving forward.
Speaking of the hunting teams, teams 1 and 3 have been doing rather poorly this month. Both teams have hardly managed to catch anything bigger than a stoat and most of their prey slips away before they can land the killing blow. Hopefully their luck will turn around soon but as long as Team 2 continues to do well catching medium and large sized prey, they should be fine! Additionally, Irosylis is finally taking steps to take over their section of the Taiga once more. It may take another month or two to fully regain control of the northern section of the forest but it makes me happy to see the pack finally braving the taiga and not backing down this time around.
In other news, the pack seems to be on the move now! They've been following a large herd of muskox lately and we can see why! This particular herd still has a few young calves and a few adolescents so perhaps the pack plans to hunt them throughout the winter while sticking close to the taiga in case they need easier game to hunt. The Alhavenlan Pack is also sticking rather closely to a den they've dug out in the plains not to far off from the herd's wintering location. Now we're not entirely certain if Seranni is expecting but we'll be keeping a close eye on her now that we're aware of a potential den site. Most of my crew members are a bit worried as this is a bit out of season for them but I'm sure they'll do just fine. They did just fine protecting Ella's litters after all and most of her litters had been born in winter too!
On a smaller note, Adhlea has returned to the pack with two small pups running after her, one brown pup and one cream pup. The pack was less than pleased after noticing this and a fight very nearly broke out but thankfully things seemed to calm down for the most part and the pups were accepted into the pack. However, Adhlea is still being treated as an outsider and has been chased away from the carcasses whenever she approaches.
Otherwise, that appears to be everything! Things are about to get a bit rough for the pack as we enter the winter months but we've got high hopes for the pack now that Team 2 has some solid footing in the Taiga. We'll keep the reports coming as always and we hope the pack stays safe this winter.

Pack Research Report
June 26th, 2023
1st Month of Winter (Weeks 1 through 4)The Pack's had a bit of a rocky start to winter this year but they seem to be managing just fine thankfully. But in other news, it seems we were correct in assuming Seranni is expecting pups this winter! She has been sticking rather closely to her new den and has been reluctant to leave it. This will most likely be her first ever litter so she may not know what to do just yet and we don't expect to see her on too many hunts tomorrow as she gets closer to having her litter. We'll be keeping a close eye out though and publish a litter report if she has them before we write our regular pack report!
However, moving on to the hunting news! It seems like things are starting to get a bit more difficult for the pack as the snow gets deeper. Teams 1 and 3 have had hardly any success, yet the pack appears to be doing okay thanks to the caribou cow Team 2 took down in the first week of this month. Hopefully Team 2 will keep up with catching the occasional large game when necessary, otherwise I fear we might have another hard winter for the pack.
Additionally, Myathilen has been injured after taking a rather hard kick from an elk they were hunting in the final week of this month. He's been limping a lot since then but hopefully he'll be quick to recover and get back to hunting at a regular pace in no time!
That appears to be all the news for now though! It's been a rather quiet start to the month and thank goodness for that. Hopefully it will remain that way as we march onward through winter but we'll keep the reports coming as always in case something happens!

Pack Research Report
June 28th, 2023
2nd Month of Winter (Weeks 5 through 8)This winter doesn't appear to be going all too well for the pack and now they've got more mouths to feed on top of all of it. Seranni, the new alpha female, has just had her litter of pups and the pack seems excited but it's clear their hunger is starting to get to them. I seriously hope they'll be able to catch enough food for everyone next month. I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for this litter as the pack is in dire need of new hunters soon given the age of a few wolves within the pack.
Moving on to the hunting news though, things have gotten considerably worse. Only Team 2 has manage to catch anything while Teams 1 and 3 struggle to keep up with their prey in the heavy snow. Now, usually this isn't a probably for the wolves but they've gotten a considerable amount of snow this year in the tundra and while it is slowing their prey down, it's also slowing the hunting teams as well. I hope their luck will turn around in the next few weeks otherwise I fear for the worst.
That appears to be all the news however. No wolves are presently ill and Myathilen has made a speedy recovery from his open wound that he was dealing with last month. But, my crew and I will keep the pack in our thoughts and prayers as we move into the 3rd month of winter now as the pack is going to need all the luck they can get this winter. As always, I'll have another report written up soon and I'll attach the litter report shortly after publishing this one. Until then folks!

Pack Research Report
June 30th, 2023
3rd Month of Winter (Weeks 9 through 12)I won't be writing a full debrief on the end of winter for the pack this time around. I've been very busy and haven't had time to write up a full, formal report so please read through the hunting information listed above to keep up on the packs antics. There's also a good chance this will be uploaded a bit later than usual but we hope everyone who reads this will understand.
We wish the pack well as we enter spring and hope everyone stays safe.

OOC Note & UpdateJust letting everyone who is subscribed to this topic that there will most likely be no usual pack update tomorrow. Instead, I'll be doing a big report at the end of the season. I've got a lot going on IRL with my pets and I haven't had much time or energy to sit down and write a proper update. Hopefully by the end of spring things will have gone back to normal for me but until then I'll stick to doing a big end of season report. Thanks for reading everyone. |

As spring comes to an end, the pack prepares for the summer months by moving to the far east of their territory. However, tensions are high as Aenor continues to be standoffish towards his fellow packmates. | |

Pack Research Report
July 6th, 2023
1st Month (Weeks 1 through 4)Well, Spring's officially here and by the looks of it the pack's had a rocky start yet again. Thankfully, with the pack tailing a large muskox herd since the end of winter has helped considerably! We've seen Team 1 pick off a muskox calf. As for Team 2, they've had a harder time with the herds in the Taiga. It seems like the elk and caribou that call that forest their home are much more elusive this spring!
In other news, it looks like Shebrasa has finally recovered from her open wound. I was worried for her well-being for a moment there but she seems to be looking quite healthy and her sight remains intact.
2nd Month (Weeks 5 through 8)Things seem to be picking back up for the pack this month as Team 2's persistence is paying off in the Taiga! Thankfully, Team 2 has managed to not only take down an elk cow this month but they've also brought down a moose bull of all things! This is amazing news for us and just what the pack needs after hardly catching anything earlier this season.
Team 1 on the other hand continues to take down numerous porcupine and Shebrasa seems to be extra weary of their quills this time around. Can't say I blame the wolf. I imagine getting stuck with a few quills was not a fun experience for her! Team 3 on the other hand seems to be at odds with each other and remain distant at the rendezvous site. We'll be keeping a closer eye on these two as the season continues. I'm a tad worried for this makeshift team and I fear they may break the team if things between Leena and Aenor continue to worsen.
3rd Month (Weeks 9 through 12)Spring's coming to an end now and the pack reluctantly braces themselves for a harsh summer once more. The pack's morale seems to be a bit of a mixed bag this month as a few wolves break off to relax away from the pack. Speaking of which, Seranni and Irosylis seems to be spending extra time together and is reinforcing their bonds! We've never seen them spend so much time away from the pack before and it warms my heart to see just how happy this pair is together.
In other news, it looks like the rest of the pack remained at the rendezvous site but seperated into their own hunting teams with Leena and Aenor joining Team 2 to relax. Team 1 seemed to have a comfortable time together and engaged in some play as well while Team 2 had to deal with a rather sudden fight between Aenor and Haleira. This does not bode well for Aenor as we were expecting him to take over Irosylis's finishing role in Team 2 but we'll be keeping a close eye on the pair as the year continues. Hopefully things will improve for Aenor's sake of staying in the pack.
Moving onto some brief hunting news now, Team 1 ended the season strong by bringing down a large bearded seal as Team 2 struggled to catch anything substatial for the pack. Team 3 on the other hand seems to be noticiably absent from hunting and are separating themselves more and more as the days go on.
Again, we'll be keeping an eye on Team 3 as I feel like Aenor may be considering leaving the pack given how harshly everyone's treated him after he picked a fight with Haleira.

Pack Research Report
July 8th, 2023
1st Month of Summer (Weeks 1 through 4)Apologizes for this being uploaded a day late! Still getting back into the swing of things. My crew and I was up late last night tracking the movements of a new pack within the Taiga and it slipped our minds to get this report published.
Anyways, the pack is doing quite well this summer! Team 2 continues to impress by bringing down the occasional large prey as Team 1 picks off any calves within the herd that get lost. The wolves are still looking a bit skinny after everything but they're slowly starting to do better! Hopefully both teams will continue to do well this summer.
Moving onto the pack's morale now, there's still a bit of tension between Leena and Aenor. The wolves are trying their hardest to stay away from one another and when they're forced together, they very nearly start a fight. As for the other pack members, Teams 1 and 2 seem to be taking extra time to relax after each hunt together. We've observed these wolves swimming in the river to escape the summer heat which has been quite amusing. Occasionally the pups will join in on the fun too!
But thankfully, this summer has started off quietly for the pack and it seems like they're enjoying it while it lasts. Hopefully this outside pack will remain neutral towards the Alhavenlan Pack but we'll be keeping a close eye on our trail cams and publish any reports if a fight breaks out between the two. Until next month, folks!

Pack Research Report
July 10th, 2023
2nd Month of Summer (Weeks 5 through 9)Things are starting to take a turn for the worse as the pack's seemingly starts to gang up on poor Aenor. This wolf has had it rough ever since summer started this year and he just can't seem to make any friends. He's even started to snarl at his own littermate, Leena, now and I fear a fight may break out if those two have to spend any more time together. Unfortunately, it does seem like Leena and Aenor are no longer hunting together as Aenor begins to keep his distance from the pack. This is rather sad news to watch Aenor slowly get pushed out by the pack but perhaps it is necessary.
Moving onto the pack's hunting news now, Team 2 was doing well in the first half of this month however things took a turn for the worse as the herds started to move again. Both Teams 1 and 2 have begun to track the herds movement but they're a bit behind so we expect their hunts may suffer as they catch back up.
As for the rest of the pack, everyone else seems to be in high spirits! Teams 1 and 2 have started to hang out together occasionally and it seems to be going well! That seems to be it for the Alhavenlan Pack though this month. Things have gone rather smoothly despite how tense they've been due to Aenor's aggressiveness. Hopefully Aenor will tone it down some next month but we'll be keeping a close eye on him in the off chance he decides to full leave the pack finally. Until next month, folks!

Pack Research Report
July 12th, 2023
3rd Month of Summer (Weeks 9 through 12)Quite an eventful end for the summer season! It seems like Aenor is still keeping his distance from the pack and he's been leaving more often now. We've even caught him on a few trail cams greeting and acting friendly towards the pack of wolves we've seen in the Taiga. Unfortunately, this pack also appears to be the same group that took down Fenghi'lan a year or so ago now. I'm unsure if Aenor will fully integrate himself into this aggressive pack but we'll be keeping a close eye on him and any future interactions he has with them!
Moving on to the Alhavenlan Pack's hunting news, Team 1 appears to be struggling this month. Irosylis decided to lead the pack westward after seeing a few herds starting to move that way with the colder months starting to approach and it seems the team wasn't prepared enough for this. Team 2 on the other hand continues to track a large elk herd within the Taiga and they have even managed to take down quite a few elk bulls! Hopefully Team 2 will continue do well as we enter the autumn months.
That appears to be all for now though! Morale is high within the pack now that they no longer have to deal with Aenor picking fights with everyone. Although, they've caught wind of him socializing with the enemy pack and have begun to act aggressively towards him whenever he gets a little too close to the rest of the Alhavenlan Pack. I hope things won't get worse for young Aenor but we shall see soon enough I suppose. Until autumn, folks!
