there are quite a lot of people that don't know how breeding, genetics and all that work and the chances of it. so I'm here!  a shoddy guide to help you through about genetics. this will be continuously worked on as I learn more 

Passing on of mutations and carriers.


muties pass on through genetics! though there can be perks and differences between them. piepalds are passed on as long as one of the parents have this mutation, if both parents aren't pie but have piepald heritage they WILL NOT give you any pie puppies.other mutations like albinism, melanism and hereditary cataracts are passed through the mutation and carriers. puppies have a chance to be a carrier of the mutation in their heritage. and as far as i know about brachy carriers they can be random. correct me if wrong!

Breeding carriers and muties


just like stated. in order for a carrier to breed the mutation they carry they must breed with that mut for it to have chances of popping up. breeding a carrier with a carrier can also have chances of making the mutation.


that's as much as I can make up. here's a list or chances //source not mine//

Non-carrier x Carrier = 90% Non-carrier, 10% Carrier

Non-carrier x Mutation = 15% Carrier, 85% Non-carrier

Carrier x Carrier = 10% Carrier, 10% Mutation, 80% Non-carrier

Carrier x Mutation = 15% Carrier, 15% Mutation, 70% Non-carrier

Mutation x Mutation = 10% Carrier, 20% Mutation, 70% Non-carrier

Hey I'm new here and wondered how I'd go about trying to breed a wold with Polycephaly. I understand I'd need to make them immortal and make them immortal. There don't seem to be many people that have them?

Hey! due to the fact this user is no longer online, i will answer this for you.

Polycephaly is a random mutation, much harder to obtain via breeding, there is no such thing as a carrier for Polycephaly.

It's a small chance to breed one, you'd have to get lucky, to boost chances, you can use Wolf Meat, but Wolf Meat runs for a lot of GC, which, many dont have.

The semi-cheaper option is to breed ELFs (Extremely Low Fertility) ladies, but it costs SC to lower fertilities for even just one breeding.

These will not 100% boost your chance, it's just a matter of RNG being nice. Good luck with breeding one, though!

Ah sorry I didn't realise this user was no longer active! Thankyou so much for answering my question clearly you've helped heaps 🙏🏼 I think I'll need all the luck I can get if I'm to breed one!! I do have one low fertility lady who's expecting 3 pup but I've no wolf meat or anything to use as of yet. Hopefully persistence will pay off in the end! Thanks again!

I have an almost entire ELF den for over a year now and haven't bred a single random lethal, even when I used wolf meat. They're EXTREMELY rare! And yes, I bred a ton of my ELFs during the siren event and STILL didn't get one, whereas my bf got a siren randomly during the event.

Instead of spending money trying to breed one ur prob better off saving for one and buying from someone lucky enough to breed one. 		Daewnie
