Pregnant Wolf Trading

a friend wanted me to stud a bunch of their wolves, as their pack leader is female and they couldn't do it themselves. the base SC fee is too high for us just starting out since you can't drop it lower than 130 [with 3 marking wolf], so she sent two wolves in heat over to me. she wanted 7 bred and bought 7 elk hearts so we could get them all done in one go..

I waited for the trading/new wolf entering pack cooldown before trying to send the pregnant girls back, but I'm not able to. I don't think it's a bug since it does make sense as to why you can't just do that? but it doesn't say on the wolf's profile that she can't be traded while pregnant. we didn't know we wouldn't be able to trade and I don't have slots for all 7 girls so it's a bummer.

just posting to see if this is intentional or not? or if anyone has any tips on how to stud ye olde fashioned way?

Unfortunately trading pregnant wolves has never been possible - it's the same on LD too. Similar to how you can't transfer newborn pups separately to their mothers, partly for realism I imagine.

If the initial problem was the stud fee being too high, you can always just refund some or all of it next time, rather than needing to transfer the females back and forth? Partially (or even wholly) refunded studding is pretty common since the default minimum is relatively high for this early in game :)

yeah we.. figured it out just a biiiiit too late that we could trade the sc back and forth for studding that way ^^ I figured trading pregnant wolves wasn't possible but wanted to check anyways, as I couldn't find anything else talking about it. thank you!
