Nyx stepped forward, dipping the quill into the ink, and signed his name, noting down that of others as he did so. Dangerous titles.. perhaps he would do some research on them in his free time. His ears flicked back as he caught the thread of conversation between the cloaked girl and vampire.

Psychic control over those in the Felidae family?

A cold thread of fear settled its way in his stomach, and he threw a quick glance at her. The others might be more formidable combatants, but for now, she was at the top of his list of threats. Speaking of the others.. the vampire was certainly cocky, but the type to be easily needled? He'd have to see. Stepping back to the gathering, he took a seat at the side, scanning the others.

"There is a difference between fear, and caution." Préachán stated, and studied the vial, opened it, and leaned back in his seat. "However, I am certain people mlght have a laugh at it, but less so when they find their precious valuables and information missing." He mumbled, then when the queen threatened to throw him out, promptly decided to stay quiet, and just observe, which was something he didn't quite enjoy. Still, he refused to be thrown out, and sat as still as he possibly could, only moving to take the occassional drink from the vial.

Once the vial was empty, he put it in his pocket, to refill once he got the chance.
"Being decent is.. not something I am very good at, but I suppose I should try. First of all, I... well, thank you for the vial." He spoke up now, not bothering to mumble any longer.

"As for my comments, all they are is observations, and sometimes I speak before thinking it through. If the Queen or anyone finds that offensive, I am sorry, and this is not at all intended to be offensive, so if anyone does find it offensive, please do tell." He continued, using a tone he only used when he actually wanted to be tolerated. Perhaps even liked, but tolerated would do.
He turned towards the cat burglar.
"While it did strike me as odd that a human would actually want to spend time with us, I suppose you have good reason, and perhaps more reason than I thought. Anyway, I am known as The Underground Spirit, yes, but, to shorten it, because that is a long one, the few people who know me, call me Préachán." He said, then went back to being quiet, and to ensure he would be, he shifted into his other form but still occupied the seat he was in.

Watching Erytha slither up, placing a vial of liquid in the vampires hand with a sharp comment toward him, Sigris watched intently. Curious… She thought to herself. The Naga made no attempts at hiding her clear dislike for the vampire. Was it deep seated resentment toward vampires as a species, or this one in particular? Out of the corner of her eye, she watched him take a short sip of what she quickly figured to be blood, (Yes obviously, what did you expect it to be?) He remained quiet, seemingly mollified by the queens threats.
After a short lull of quiet, he spoke up again, offering apologies to Erytha before once again addressing Sigris.
Préachán, Interesting name.
"Sigris." She responded pleasantly.
"Already an alias of sorts it seems. I have yet to build any sort of reputation enough for a proper one, unless people prefer the term 'cat burglar'" She stated, flashing an amused grin toward the serpent. Though looking back at Préachán, now it seemed she was talking to a crow.
Interesting. She noted, eyes squinting as she looked at the feathered animal, before turning to the Tabaxi nearby. "So what's with the mask?"

(@Veil :D)

He dipped his ears as the human mentioned her ability to take control of felidae. It was a crawling feeling under his fur, that made the cloths on him feel uncomfortable. Could she control him? He thought with an eerie feeling, though turning away when the Queen spoke again, still feeling a cold sweat on his skin.

Veil smiled under his mask, why you're here is exactly what he wanted to know. Part of him was excited, thrilled to be a part of her plan. Some fight for adventure, freedom, his parents?  He had signed the sheet, settling for just "Veil" and not his full name. When he returned to his seat, the vampire had gone into another rant. Veil blinked again, jeez, he talks more then I do. He ended his spiel with his name, Préachán. Strange name, Veil thought, before hearing a "Sigris" from the human as she introduced herself. She turned to him, pointing out his mask.

"Why? That, that interested in what I look like?" He teased, an eyebrow quirked, though not all to curious about how she felt about his appearance. She still gave him a bad feeling afterall. Before she could respond, he let out his name. "J-just call me Veil."

"Just curious." Sigris stated while flashing a disarming grin, as she pulled her leg over her knee. Spending half of her waking time as a cat, picking up the subtle cues in all feline species was fairly easy now. He was uneasy around her, that much was obvious. Maybe even downright fear. That wouldn't be too bad. Being the weakest both physically and with her powers, an edge like that might be useful. That, and theres always Zara. As for whether his fear was valid or not, well, she'd have to look into that. She had no intentions of ever using her power like that on other humanoids, even if her powers did prove effective against them, but it would be nice to know as a failsafe if the circumstances ever came to it.
Turning her attention back to his comment, she spoke up again.
"Veil, nice name. No doubt you heard mine, Sigris." she stated with a dip of her head.
"If its for secrecy, doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose? being covered in identifiable stripes and whatnot?"

Taking another sweep of the room, she noticed the other feline hybrid still by the signing desk, his features obscured by his cloak. The one who controls the dead... The Harpy still lingered nearby, still seeming undecided about whether to sign or not.

Before long, Préachán had had enough of observing the others, and in the blink of an eye, he was back to his vampire self.
"Cat burglar is to the point, no?" He said, calmly, leaned back in his chair.

"As you may have figured out, I am not very good at being polite. I'd say it is a hunger thing, but it is not. Well, it is. It is also just who I am. So, maybe it is both, I can't say. Anyway, I do have a point with this. Or making conversation. How do you find our world? Our world is different from the one above." He continued, turned the empty vial over in his hands, wishing it was full again.

"Veil and Sigris. What a gathering this is. A vampire , some feline creatures, human mind shapeshifter, harpy and... something I have never seen before." He mumbled, merely making an observation. Still turning the vial over, over and over, his 'hunger' not fully satisfied.

Sigris again pivoted her head to glance at Préachán.
Quite talkative now, isn't he? She pondered to herself, thinking back on his Stoney silence and adamant secrecy when they had first arrived. His comment at hunger gave her pause, reminding herself just what a vampire actually was.
He wouldn't try anything, would he…? How well can vampires control their instincts? Do humans taste different from other species? Her mind briefly wandered with the strange thoughts, but she did make a note to do more research on vampires when she got back home before pulling herself back to his question.
"I found this place when I happened to stumble on an old cat. He used to live here with his owner, I simply needed to enter into his memories to find my way in. As for the place itself, dismal to say the least, but so full of life and diversity wouldn't you agree?" "So many creatures, so much history, so much to learn." She said, the slightest hint of awe creeping into her voice.
Sigris had the idea to bring the cat along with her next time. Having senses much more powerful than her own might prove beneficial in staying alert and keeping an eye on these newfound 'partners in crime'. It would be foolish to trust any of them on the first meeting after all.
Sigris turned toward the underground Queen, to ask a question. "So what's next?" She asked simply yet to the point. "Will we get our first assignment now, or do we get settled in our quarters first?"

Ichabod

The harpy stood amongst the other creatures. He didn't engage just yet, didn't move towards the center of blooming introductions. The dark mask of short feathers hid any secrets of his expression. His wings pulled his cloak tighter around his generally unassuming form.

Frankly, he was having a fantastic time. It was rare to see so many underground varieties in one space. All of them were dangerous, in one way or another, and many he would prefer not to be on the opposing end of. They challenged the Naga or talked too much. That wasn't his style.

Erytha had referred to him by name before, and he didn't answer. Not that it was worth anything, she had plenty of important heads to keep track of and reassure. He didn't envy her. Now, as an answer, he lifted up a leg to reveal his taloned foot. Effortlessly, he dipped it in the bowl of ink and, rather than write his name, raked a long, spitting line of black across the page.

"This sounds like fun," Ichabod raised his voice slightly to Erytha as he regained his normal footing, "and I think were ready for further directions. We can play friends on the way there."

"Most cats I've seen around here are lost strays, judging by the look of them. Never bothered to find out if they actually are. However, they do have purpose it seems. As for the place being dismal, yes, it is. None the less, it is ours. Full of life, and everything in between. Diverse? Certainly. The creatures here are... fascinating, and some are best watched from afar, and with caution. Some are best not to approach at all. Others... well, they do not hesitate to do as they please, whether you approach or not."  Préachán stated, and stood, watched the harpy sign.
Odd technique, but I suppose whatever works, works. He thought, then turned his attention towards the queen.
"I, for one, would like to know if our quarters are... well equipped ... for each of us. I would like to see them with my own eyes. Of course, if the tasks are urgent I would not mind to get right on that." He couldn't deny that the thought of an actual room was tempting. His home was not bad, of course, but it was not ... whatever this would be. It was a thief's den, nothing else. A small house, looking just like most others, at least on the outside.
"Fun, perhaps. Perhaps not, but as long as it pays well, which it seems to do. It all depends, doesn't it?'' He  continued, this time directed at the harpy.

His expression turned a bit to annoyance, it's not like he could control that he has stripes, or fur, or a tail. He flipped his hood onto his head, covering him so that with the mask, only his eyes and space around them was visible. "Th-that's what the rest's for." He mutters.

Veil chose to stay silent as the vampire, Préachán, spoke again. His voice filling the room, quite literally the most Veil's ever heard anyone speak. The vampire even continued as the harpy made strides to sign the sheet. Strange, though Veil considered taking off a glove, and leaving a paw print as his signature. However, the tabaxi didn't particularly feel like getting his hands or glove messy.

His ears perked up under his hood at the mention of sleeping quarters, body aching from the day's activities. Chasing down a key, a master key, wasn't the easiest task. They guards never seemed to leave each other's sights, so Veil did what he had to do. He was sore now, and sleep before whatever the queen had for them to do sounded, well, appealing.
