Préachán tensed, while he was offended, he could not turn this down. Would not. "Perhaps. I believe in sharing when one wants. However, I will not be going. That goblet is not information, no, but, it is an excellent craft. Study it if you will, there may be something useful about it. That is knowledge that I do have, and I can share if you so desire." He shrugged, searched his pockets, pulling out what appeared to be a bottle of some sort, the liquid inside a dark crimson. Studying it for a while, he then proceeded to open it, then without hesitation drank from it.

"It is not the same as fresh, but it will do." He muttered, grabbed the quill, and signed, quickly, but elegantly.
"As for how bold I can be, that is for me to know and you to discover." He stated, as he walked past the moth creature, then turned to the cat human. "In case you were wondering, your scent and heartbeat gave you away as human. It is so easy to tell. You do not smell like us. Subtle, but it definitely is different."  He stated, and took a seat on one of the chairs, pulled the hood back up and leaned back in the chair, waiting.

~> Erytha <~

A small hissing laugh as Styx moved forward, a quiet warning. "I'm not in the habit to break deals. Promises, I couldn't care less about. But you'll get what you need, provided you work well." They muttered, a soft curl of disdain mixed in their tone.

Promises were foolish. No one kept a promise. Deals, on the other hand, that was mutually beneficial. Those were worthy of respect.

A beat of silence as others took a seat.

"Well, Ichabod? Have you anything to add?" Erytha turned to the harpy, thin eyebrow raised ever so slightly. "If you'd prefer to get anything you may need written down by someone else, stay back after this. But you'll need to choose now, whether you join... or walk away."

Veil had stumbled into where the others were gathered around the Queen, their gifts laid out, and Erytha addressing them all. In his arms was a sack of... something. His gift to her. He had something else strapped into his thigh, but his hands were full with this sack. Looking around, as he had obviously barged in, the group sitting around the naga.

The tall Tabaxi spotted the desk, bringing the sack over, and plopping it down. Its corners opened, as it hadn't been tied shut, and it falls down, the contents in a pile, some rolling away. It was a bundle of bread, rolls, lots of rolls. "Food!" He says, a smirk on his face, quite proud of himself. "And, and it's fresh, not an ounce of mold 'ere!"

Silence.

Veil makes an "oh" face and holds a gloved hand up, one finger pointed to silently say "wait".

He fishes into the hilt on his thigh, pulling out something that appears to be a key. "This b-belonged to a human guard," He explains, twirling it around. "D-don't ask how I got it, I, Iwon't tell you." Veil places it on the desk, alongside the pile of bread. "It's like a, uh, a master key of sorts. Getcha in a-and out of places." He then moves to take a seat near the others, making himself comfortable in one of the chairs, tail swaying a bit to the side as it pokes out from behind the chair. "So where do I sign up?"

Sigris, now sitting on one of the chairs, eyed the moth witch stalk past Erytha. giving a passing whisper too low for her to hear with her own human ears, as they walked up to the table. She passed a glance at the vampire again, words between him and the Whisperer exchanged, but she wasn't in the mood to pay much attention. Sigris watched as he took out a vial, drinking its contents, before signing away after the witch. That's when she noticed The Witch, having signed, now approached her; Holding out their hand in greeting, their voice slightly muffled by what took her a while to work out was a mask instead of their actual face.

Giving a small sideway grin, at the change of events after the vampires outburst, she raised her hand toward the witches upturned one. She half expected some of the others to turn on her too after learning about her heritage.
Before she could reply, either with words or an agreeable handshake, the vampire stalked past her, stopping briefly to add his own bit of information. Hearing his comment toward her only cemented her fear. The others can indeed tell the difference. My time here might not be as easy as I'd hoped. She thought grimly as she looked down, the half smile fading slightly. Tucking the information away for later pondering and working, she looked back up to the Witch. Finally grasping their extended hand in a greeting.
"I'm Sigris, The cat burglar" She said, giving an inward chuckle at the name.
"And as you already know, yes I'm human. I'm guessing your, what? Some sort of hybrid? Ill admit I'm a bit inexperienced with the different species living down here."

With a rustle, another figure stepped into the gathering, dark bundle half-concealed in his cloak. He kept his hood up, scanning the gathering of.. motley individuals. Having missed the initial introductions, he didn't have much to go off- but the thrum of magic in the air, despite the others' slight appearances, told him there was much more to them than met the eye.

Nyx made his way to the desk and set the bundle down, then pulled off the concealing cloth with a flourish, revealing the dismembered head of a notably corrupt councillor's wife, bloodied stump of her swan-like neck leaking gore along the polished surface. Despite her clearly deceased status, however, the head was not limp. Her features were screwed up into an expression of abject horror, lips pressed together so tightly they'd blanched white. And her eyes.. well, they were missing. Two wisps of ghostly flame flickered where they should have been, darting back and forth with fear.

"Apologies for my lateness. Her guards put up more resistance than I anticipated."

Letting go of her hair and stepping backwards, the panther hybrid flicked his fingers. The wife's mouth and eyes opened wide, sucking in desperate breaths, and she began to talk, words tumbling out so quickly they slurred together, trembling.

"I didn't know that much, I promise! He only took a few bribes, just from some councilmen and socialites, and I'll tell you about them! Just please, please, let me-"

She tapered off with a muffled cry as Nyx pressed his fingers together again, sealing her lips shut.

Green eyes glowed from within the shadows of his hood as he spoke again, tone derisive as he glanced at the councillor's wife.

"She might not be too cooperative at first, but I'm sure you have ways to make her more obliging. And she'll be a veritable wellspring of useful information. Besides," claws flashed out with a snick, "there's always more where that came from."

Préachán watched the newcomer with the sack, and tried his best not to at least snicker. Bread. Well... suppose my goblet was not the worst gift here. He thought, but did not share it his thoughts out loud for once in his life. "Cat burglar? What? Do you break into people's homes and... steal their cats? That is a new one, and it has to be a very limited career option. If so, what do you do with them?" He asked, suddenly interested, while still not approving of the fact that she was human.

"As for what I am, I am a vampire, first and foremost, second of all, I am able to see the above world, but only at night, in this form. It is, sensitive to light, but, as the queen so... indicated, I can change this form, for another, who is not sensitive to the light of day. Which is convienient, and no, it is not exactly a hybrid thing, at least to my knowledge.. I am both, but I used to be only one of the two. One, I was born as, and expected to always only be. The other? Came later, but the first gift remained." He said, shrugged, even though the question seemed to be  for the other creature, but nonetheless, he shared it. It was practically already out there anyway.

He stared blankly as the pale creature cloaked in black spoke, continuing on about... Cat burgalers? And without a beat was speaking about himself. Veil watched, intrigued as he went on and on and on. He wasn't entirely paying attention to what this double creature? Dual creature? Was saying, but was fascinated that he could just keep... talking. When he finished with a shrug, and Veil blinked, shaking his head in some sort of amusement.

"Wow wee, got, got anythin' more to add there, huh?" He said once the vampire was done, adjusting himself in his seat. "D-didn't seem like you were all, all that finished." Of course, his questioning and slight badgering was hypothetical. He really didn't want him, what was his name again? To continue speaking, maybe gloating, about himself. He shifted his mask, which he had tucked under his chin, up above him mouth and nose, concealing his face again. A sign saying 'I'm done I'm done I swear' (though, it most likely wasn't true, as Veil could never seem to shut his mouth).

The sudden interruption of another member barging in caught Sigris' attention, briefly turning her head to look at the newcomer entering. Their movements and mannerisms seemed familiar to her, then she noticed the flicking tail. Ah, thats why. She thought. Some sort of panther hybrid possibly. She watched as they walked up to the desk, the bundle they were holding spilling open, and …bread rolls? Falling out. Huh, bread, interesting. She thought to herself, grinning inwardly, not quite expecting something like that as a gift for the queen of the underworld.

Sigris quickly turned her head around to look at the vampire now, him having entered into their little conversation unexpectedly. After he was finished, both with his questioning and own explanations on his abilities, again another person interjected. The hybrid(?), now sitting in the row of seats with them, poking a jibe at the vampire, before pulling a mask over his face, ending any future conversation. Bold isn't he? Coming into untested waters with an unknown group of people and already poking the hypothetical bear.
giving a grin at the potential for some interesting entertainment today, she turned to face the vampire properly, pulling her coat around her tighter.
"Well I would be lying if I said I havent… misplaced at least a few peoples cats 'accidentally'. But no, I happen to have psychic control over animals in the Felidae family; for simplicity, cats. Its sort of a mental shifting rather than a physical one. I become the cat, with access to all their memories. I can go anywhere I please with relative ease. For the time being, I am just a cat, something most people dont even pay a passing glance to. I'm free to go anywhere I wish."
"Nobody guards their words in front of a stray who happen to be lounging nearby. Nor would they particularly be alarmed if a cat made a habit of staking out their house for a few weeks on end." She shrugged.
"The house pets are easier. They have free reign of any room at any time. Some, more important, peoples pets starting out as a little stray kitten that happened to show up on their doorstep one day." She said with a mischievous smile.

Taking another sweep of the room, she noticed yet another person had entered. Another person she hadn't noticed who could have snuck up on her. Sometimes she really disliked the such dull senses of her own human body…
Another feline hybrid it seemed. Wait, was that a head on the table?? She thought incredulously. Straightening up for a better view, she saw it was indeed a womans head. When the head suddenly came alive with a screech of words, she had to stop herself from recoiling back in surprise. Despite the overlaying wariness at the shocking abilities she just witnessed, she was also suddenly incredibly intrigued and curious. This strange group of creatures already seemed very powerful and dangerous, she's probably do well to tread more cautiously.

"If I did, you would know about it, but since I do not have more information for your ears, I do not tell more." Préachán stated, tone irritated but only slightly.

"That is rare, especially among humans, no? Shifting minds with a feline is not something I know of, even as a shifter myself. Now, I do not like cats, I strongly dislike them, and I refuse to trust them. The pet kind, and the stray kind" He said, leaned forward, to watch the newcomer who had adressed him and the newest newcomer.
He could smell the blood on him, not fresh, but it was not old enough to smell bad to him.
"The newcomer brought the queen a snack, I believe. Smells ... tempting. Not too old." He grinned, grabbed the vial from his pocket, and opened it.

"Almost make me crave a fresh snack of my own. Sadly, this is all I have, but it will do. Unless anyone is offering?" He continued with a wide grin, and a laugh, before draining the contents of the vial in one go, then went back to studying everyone in the room, mentally making notes of who they seemed to be.
They were different, all of them, and while that was fascinating, it certainly did little to make him trust them fully. He was out for himself after all, and it was all he cared about.

~> Erytha <~

A lazy turn of their head revealed a Tabaxi - Veil. A sack gripped in his hands and he hurried towards the desk, dropping the sack onto it.

Bread.

Well. At least there was some strain of finding enough food taken away. Two guards lurking at the door came inside at Erytha's call, picking up the sack and some of the fallen rolls, and bringing them away.

A pause, eyebrow raised, and Veil finally pulls out something else.

"Now that's a little more interesting. You can put your name or alias in the book on the desk there, I'll send a message through someone to see what you need. We're just about to discuss the deal properly." The key was handed to the avian lurking outside again* but they paused, looking at someone behind them.

Finally. Perhaps the most interesting person Erytha had been expecting.

Something was covered with a bag but the smell of blood and death leaked into Erytha's senses, forked tongue testing the air before they settled into their coils, watching as Nyx set it upon their desk.

A displeased hiss at the blood and... other things leaking onto her desk, Erytha moved forward to the gift, plucking the cloth out of Nyx's hands and setting it underneath the head.

"This will... certainly be helpful. Sign that book when you're ready, the same thing I told the Specialist. Go, sit down once you're ready. Shade?" A wave to the head and the avian quickly moved it along, closing the door behind them.

"That's better. I'm expecting one other... but no matter. We can discuss now, or you can wait and... talk among yourselves. Whichever you choose."

Shutting the desk drawer, Erytha moves through the pool to the other side of the room, picking up a dainty glass vial filled with blood.

"The Underworld Spirit. How amusing do you think it would be for people to know they aren't much more than a whining vampire? Too afraid to show any other abilities. If you don't be quiet about the other members of this group, if you keep whining about this, I will send you back to the streets where you can find your own way." She turned his hand, hanging loosely over the chair's armrest, and set the vial in his palm. "Have that. Be quiet. Only speak up if you have something decent to say." Erytha hissed, curling his fingers over the vial before moving away.

"If you don't want to talk but are willing to wait, then tell me what you need now. Otherwise, we can discuss exactly why you're here." Erytha continued, tail half coiled and half sunk into the water. The Winged Fiend, last to arrive. Unsurprising but somewhat frustrating. No matter... the rest would do decently should they not show.

* that avian (Shade is their current alias) is open to be used, I've left them vague but they'll be like second in command if they are used, won't be a major character but yeah they're open! if no one takes them I'll just flesh out the character and use them like that
