[hello everyone!! feel free to throw anyone @ my characters :^) ]

[ swallowfoot | warrior | she/her | location: camp | @ anyone ]

Swallowfoot sat a few tail-lengths away from the fresh-kill pile, grooming herself inattentively. The camp seemed to be bustling, with various Clanmates padding into and out of camp to do all sorts of important activities. Adjusting to this new place had been and still was incredibly difficult, but there was something about a busy morning that made her feel a little more at home, a little more normal. Shaking out her pelt, she scented the air, feeling a gentle breeze set her whiskers trembling.

Looking around camp, she wondered if anyone was in the mood to go on a hunting patrol with her.

[DEADGAZE/LOSTPAW | DEADGAZE POV | WARRIOR/APPRENTICE | SHE/HER/HE/HIM | LOCATION: WARRIORS DEN | MENTIONS: LIONCHASER, SWALLOWFOOT | @ ANYONE]

Leaving the territories didn’t mean much to Deadgaze. She left it behind almost too gladly, so easily a few cats even hated her for it. Moving on was something she had been waiting for, and the long, laborious journey had left her with one good thing; the perfect excuse to sleep in.

The sun was close to the middle of the sky when the black she-cat finally awoken. Rays of light fell over her back, warming her until she began to stir. Her amber eyes blinked open to find empty nests around her, and outside she could hear Lionchaser doing his usual gig with some poor she-cat. With a chuckle Deadgaze pushed herself to her paws. Some things didn’t change.

Before Deadgaze could go rescue whoever Lionchaser had cornered, something in her peripheral moved within the shadows of the den. Deadgaze whipped around and came face to face with a small white tom. Odd colored eyes blinked at her, a calico tail fluffed to twice its side. It was her apprentice Lostpaw.

“Lostpaw! I nearly clawed ya, bud. What’re you doing stalking around like a fox in here?” Deadgaze meowed, giving the little tom a rough lick between his ears. The tom flinched but allowed her, his ears drooping as he averted his gaze.

“You were sleeping so long, and I didn’t want to… uhm, be seen without you again.” Lostpaw confessed. Deadgaze frowned, her eyes narrowing.

“Are the other apprentices giving you trouble again?” Deadgaze asked firmly. “About your past? Do I need to rough them up?”

“No! No, please don’t,” Lostpaw exclaimed, his eyes wide. Deadgaze gave him an intense look before breaking into a grin and butting her shoulder into his.

“I’m just kidding. But seriously, tell me if they’re up to anything. I’ll talk to Graystar.” She told him. Lostpaw shuffled in place awkwardly and a brief affection passed through Deadgaze’s eyes. Turning around she wrapped a shoulder over his shoulders, guiding him toward the cave entrance.

“C’mon, let’s go get some flesh on our fangs. I’m starving.” Deadgaze meowed. Lostpaw nodded, quietly padding alongside the she-cat as they walked out of the den. Lionchaser had left, thank Starclan, and the way to the fresh kill pile was clear. On the way a gray tabby she-cat groomed herself casually.

“Good hunting, Swallowfoot!” Deadgaze chirped. Ever since she left the lake, it felt like the boulder she had been carrying on her shoulders had crumbled to dust. She was in unusually high spirits. “Sun in the sky, wind in your fur! Aren’t ya feeling good?” Beside her Lostpaw blinked awkwardly, side-eyeing his mentor while slowly leaning forwards to sniff a scrawny mouse.

Lionchaser | Warrior | Male (he/him) | Location: SkyClan Territory | Mentions: Brightwhisper, Quailtooth

Guilt pricked the big tom's belly when he noticed that Quailtooth was suddenly downcast. Did they not teach them humor in medicine cat school? The red feline clearly had no interest in playing about flowers, but he did have his respect for the medicine cats, even if he never acted like so. He never was as well-mannered as his favorite companion, Graystar. Lionchaser was known for being foul-mouthed, but he never meant it in an intentionally cruel fashion. The impressive warrior gave Quailtooth a light shove with his broad set of shoulders. "...I do like your company as well." That being said, Lionchaser had a love for all of his clanmates. He just enjoyed giving them all a hard time- Graystar especially.

Brightwhisper, at least, seemed capable of matching his attitude. "Remember that I'm bigger than you," he commented before narrowing his eyes in to a sharp glare, although his voice dripped with sarcasm as he continued. "If it comes down to you, me, and Quailtooth getting stranded and suffering through a quarter moon of starvation without a glimpse of fresh kill because you didn't let me eat before we left...well, I'll be the one who doesn't go hungry." Lionchaser ruffled his fur as he plodded along, glancing off to admire their new territory. He didn't mind the change in scenery much, so long as there was prey to be caught, and places to sun in.

A pretty gold flower caught his eye, a tiny one at that. It looked practically flawless. Lionchaser veered off to the side to cautiously sniff it. It smelled good. Maybe he could eat it? "...Is this an herb?" They'd tire of him fast. He knew nothing of plants- everything was an herb to him.

Graystar | Leader | Female (she/her) | Location: Camp | Mentions: Shadowheart

"I wouldn't be surprised if we had any unwanted company." Graystar decided when the tom spilled the news about the detection of a fox's scent. "Perhaps our new home isn't perfect, but I'm sure that plenty of...'guests' moved in after old SkyClan moved out." A greater concern to Graystar would be undesirable rogues. She didn't consider other predators, such as badgers, to be particularly intelligent. They went where prey did. But rogues? They always seemed to carry a certain interest in clan cats. They were like scavengers, attempting to snag whatever they could from clan cats, be it territory or prey. Leeches.

That being said, some rogues did make good and respectable warriors. It would be foolish of her to assume that they were all rotten. In fact, she considered some members of the other clans, such as ShadowClan and ThunderClan, to be far below rogues at this rate. Cruel enough to drive out their own kind, some of which had been family to others, without a second thought.

"I can do that." Graystar agreed when Shadowheart mentioned setting up borders. She didn't have any particular places in mind. However, the leader was yet to thoroughly investigate SkyClan's new home, seeing that the clan had only arrived the night before. She was grateful that her warriors were so eager to secure their belongings. She just knew that she wanted to keep her distance from the twoleg place. She wasn't keen on any twoleg activity, nor was she keen on any nosey kittypets.

Thrushfeather | Warrior | Female (she/her) | Location: Center of Camp | Mentions: Minkfoot,  Beeclaw, Nightstalker, all present apprentices

Brought back into the present by Minkfoot's soft chuckle, nodding in agreement to her following suggestion of gathering more warriors to accompany them. Before she even had a chance to survey the camp the voice of a tom sounded behind them. Turning to face them Thrushfeather immediately recognized the brown pointed tom as Beeclaw. "Heya Beeclaw! Care to join us on a little adventure?" she teased, hoping to get a rouse of excitement out of the younger apprentices. "We're going to scout the territory for a new training ground for these guys," she continued, her tail stump gesturing as best it could towards the apprentices "and we could definitely use some help if you're willing" she purred cheerily.

Just as she finished Thrushfeather noticed another cat had joined them. She turned and let out a welcoming purr to them. "Hey Nightstalker, did you want to join us? I'm sure you heard me explaining to Beeclaw what our outing is about" she affirmed, hoping what she's said was true as she often faltered when forced to repeat herself. I sure hope; this unperturbed front can only deal with so much, ya know? Her conscious self mused as she looked over the lithe black tom.

(Awaiting on @werewolfCEO to continue my interactions with Troutpaw, no rush, just mentioning since I haven't been rp'ing him and don't want him gettin' left behind)

[ swallowfoot | warrior | she/her | location: camp | @ deadgaze & lostpaw ]

Consumed in her thoughts, it took Swallowfoot a moment to react to Deadgaze's sudden presence. As soothed as she'd been feeling this morning, Deadgaze seemed to be feeling it double-fold. The attitude with which Deadgaze approached her life was always confusing to the older she-cat, but it certainly wasn't anything worth addressing, even if it felt wrong to see a cat so excited to lose a home in they way they did. In any case, it wasn't her place to tell another cat how to feel. And the young warrior had always been kind to Tansypaw.

"Deadgaze, Lostpaw," she responded with a cordial nod of her head. "Yes, it's certainly a nice day out. It's hard not to feel like we've ended up in the right place with nice weather such as this, isn't it? Would be a waste to not get out and make the most of it."

Despite her last words, Swallowfoot made no move to get up. She was still exhausted from the journey, and aching from the loss of her mate. It really would be a shame to waste easy weather on moping around, especially considering only StarClan knew what the weather was normally like here. The Lake territory was at least predictable after her time there. This place was a wholly different story.

Adderpaw | Apprentice | Male (He/Him) | Location: Center Of Camp | Interactions: Minkfoot, Thrushfeather, Beeclaw, Nightstalker, Troutpaw, Kestrelpaw

Adderpaw watched excitedly as his mentor welcomed Beeclaw and Nightstalker to the outing. So many warriors were going with them! Surely with this many cats they would find a new training ground in no time. He itched to start training again.

"This is so exciting!" He whispered to Troutpaw. He wondered where the other apprentices mentor was, and scanned the camp, eventually spotting the grey-and-white tom sitting near the edge. It didn't look like Pebbletail was going to be joining them. Adderpaw felt a little sad for Troutpaw; it wasn't fair that Adderpaw's mentor was going to be here but Troutpaw's wasn't. Not wanting to dwell on that or make Troutpaw feel bad, Adderpaw continued chattering. "Do you think our new training ground will be cool?"

(Not adding Pebbletail to the outing currently because there's already quite a few cats and I don't want things to get too chaotic. Can have some character conflict between Pebbletail and Troutpaw later about it if we want to play off that?)

Dawnpaw | Apprentice | Female (she/her) | Location: Center of Camp | Mentions: Thrushfeather, Minkfoot, Kestrelpaw, Troutpaw, other apprentices there, open

At hearing she hadn’t missed anything, Dawnpaw sighed in relief. “Oh, good…” She sat patiently, though her tail swished from side to side out of excitement. She always loved training, and she was more than glad that she hadn’t missed this outing. Even if her mentor wasn’t coming, she’d still learn plenty from the other warriors and apprentices here!

She heard Adderpaw’s words and turned towards him, ears flicking as she mewed back. “I really hope so! I can’t wait to see it! Ooh, what do you think it'd look like? Or what we could do there?”

Willowheart | Warrior | Female (she/her) | Location: Camp | Mentions: Swallowfoot, Deadgaze, Lostpaw

It seemed that the clan was getting active already. It was good to see, everyone jumping to their tasks. Off in the distance, she did see the apprentices gathering with some of the other warriors, and wondered how her own apprentice, Dawnpaw, would get along there. It’d do her some good to work with the others instead of just some one on one training. She’d catch up with her later.

Stretching, Willowheart noticed the gathering of three cats- Swallowfoot, Deadgaze, and Lostpaw- off to the side. It seemed she wasn’t the only one with a slightly late start on things. That was alright, though. After the journey they all had, it was alright to take a day to get back into the swing of things. She made her way over to them, intent on at least greeting them before she took off for hunting for the day. They still needed food to make sure they’d be alright after the move.

“Good day, you three.” She meowed to them. “Getting a move on the day?” She eyed the two cats who were walking, moving no doubt to do some work. “Good luck on your hunts.”

[ swallowfoot | warrior | she/her | location: camp | mentions: lostpaw, deadgaze | @ willowheart  ]

"Willowheart," Swallowfoot acknowledged her greeting with a purr and a nod of her head. "Trying to! My paws are so used to moving, I don't think I'd be comfortable relaxing, tired as I am. Would you be interesting in going hunting?" The older warrior's offer was extended to all the present cats, though she wondered if Lostpaw would be planning on joining the growing group of apprentices that seemed to be amassing around Thrushfeather and a few other warriors. She wondered if Tansypaw would join; it would be good for her to get out and about, since sitting around camp alone would do nothing to ease her hurt.

[ tansypaw | apprentice | she/her | location: camp | mentions: thrushfeather, apprentices, swallowfoot & all  ]

Tansypaw woke up with a start, eyes blurry from sleep borne of pure exhaustion. It took her a moment to gain her bearings. Her body ached from travel and having slept on the rocky ground, and she eased herself into a luxurious stretch as she stepped out into what must be their new camp. Everyone seemed very awake but her, and a pang of embarrassment set her already messy fur on end. Scanning camp, she noticed her mother with a couple other cats, and a group of apprentices and warriors gathering. Had she missed something important? It was probably too late now.

Anxiety sparking in her chest, she instead made her way over to her mother. As she neared, she noticed she at least wasn't the only apprentice not in on whatever was going on. "Hi Mom," she mewed quietly, nudging her shoulder in greeting before sitting down beside her, looking at the other cats around them. "Good morning everyone, as well."

{ Feathershine | warrior, 26 moons | location: camp | interactions: open }

Feathershine had awoken and decided to sit in the warriors den to groom his messy, bedridden fur before going out to join the rest of the clan. He carefully groomed his tabby and white fur, ears flicking towards the entrance to camp as he heard the voices of other warriors and apprentices conversing. His paws itched to join them and be included in their activities. By the time he'd finished and was presentable, his energy was bubbling over.

The large tom pushed into camp and purred loudly, breathing in a large breathe of the fresh air and glancing around the camp to study who was nearby with his one yellow eye bright with excitement to start the day. "Hello everyone!" He meowed, to nobody in particular, but the tom's usual loud voice carried across camp for whoever would listen and give him attention.

Jadepuddle~Warrior~She/her~Location:Camp~Interactions:Feathershine

"Hello to you too big guy." Jadepuddle chuckled. As much as she didn't like doing work, she was bored out of her mind. It was nice to have a big distraction to her day. "Someone's excited for a new day." She stretched her legs and padded towards the big attention seeking tom. "So what's got you acting like a juicy rabbit fell out of the sky?"

Kestrelpaw||Apprentice||She/Her||Location:Apprentice Den||Interactions: Thrushfeather, Minkfoot, and everyone else there cuz there's too many to list XD

Kestrelpaw watched all the other apprentices chatter away all excited to go out and check out the territory. She didn't say a word, she kinda felt too overwhelmed by all the activity from left and right. The best idea to her was to probably start getting a move on. Her tail flicking here and there, she finally mustered up the will to ask Thrushfeather and Minkfoot, "So, when do we start heading outside?"

For a usually chill kitten, her paws were kind of antsy. Wanting something to do besides hearing others talk and converse. Of course, she doesn't complain, she knows that the warriors know what they're doing.
