| QuailTooth | MedicineCat | Male (He/Him) | Location: Herb Collecting|

Quailtooth was heartened by the tom’s attempt to restore his mood. He chuckled softly at the tom’s joke, and watched, slightly amused, as BrightWhisper and LionChaser bantered.

Quailtooth turned his attention to the flower LionChaser had pointed out. He flicked his tail in excitement. “Oh-yes! Those are narcissus flowers! BrightWhisper, look!” The tom meowed excitedly and he began the process of unrooting the flowers. He set them aside for their trip back, his ears perked up.

“Now if we find some borage and birthwort, we’ll be all set!” The tom declared happily. “Although…” The tom added with a glance at the flowers. “There aren't very many. Nothing seems to grow in abundance here…” The tom sighed, remembering the scarce bundle of poppies and tansy NectarHeart and Him had collected.

Troutpaw | Apprentice | Male (he/him) | Location: Center of Camp | Mentions: Adderpaw (D), Dawnpaw (D), Minkfoot (ID), all other present apprentices (ID), & Pebbletail (ID)

Troutpaw's tail flicked back and forth, "It is! I hope we find something suitable for us" he agreed excitedly. Catching Adderpaw's gave, however, he saw the tom's eyes flicking across the clearing before focusing in on something behind him. Troutpaw turned to see where Adderpaw's eyes had landed and saw his mentor, Pebbletail, entering camp with a group of other cats. He smelled of fresh kill and underbrush. So he was on a hunt without me, Troutpaw observed, his right ear turning back slightly in dejection. Guess that means he won't be coming with us seeing as he was just out on a patrol all morning, his mind continued as now both of his ears were pulled back.

Letting out a light huff he turned back to Adderpaw, not wanting to let his friend in on his disappointment and ruin the excitement. Speaking of excitement, Dawnpaw's chipper mew now broke into his thoughts as she piped up about her expectations that would come of their outing. Troutpaw blinked at her with a small smile on his maw, "If we're lucky hopefully it'll be a spot without so many rocks" he laughed lightly, wrapping his tail around his paws. The she-cat's babble of questions annoyed him slightly, but he didn't want to make it apparent. We'll get there when we get there. Hopefully their party would be leaving soon as Troutpaw knew he wasn't the only one who paws were itching to get going.

(@werewolfCEO yeah totally, we can work off that! Troutpaw can be a bit a little brattish at times so it works out fine with his character)

[DEADGAZE/LOSTPAW | DEADGAZE POV | WARRIOR/APPRENTICE | SHE/HER/HE/HIM | LOCATION: FRESH KILL PILE| MENTIONS: WILLOWHEART, SWALLOWFOOT, THRUSHFEATHER, APPRENTICES]

“Willowheart, hello!”

Deadgaze purred a greeting as the cream and yellow she-cat approached. Behind her Lostpaw watched shyly, hunched over and pretending to keep his eyes on his mentor. Between his paws a mouse was half eaten. He pushed it towards Deadgaze and the black she-cat licked his ear. She crouched and began cleaning off tiny bones.

“A hunt sounds like a good time. I need to flex my claws,”Deadgaze’s tail raised happily at Swallowfoot’s offer. “And the fresh kill pile could use some work.”

Lostpaw’s gaze had wandered from Deadgaze to the group of apprentices. His paws shuffled in a way that could look both eager and nervous. Deadgaze glanced at her apprentice and followed his gaze.

“Is that anxiety or you wanting to join them?” Deadgaze asked, wrapping her tail around Lostpaw’s back. Lostpaw kneaded the ground, his ears flicking back.

“I don’t know. I don’t really know any of them,” Lostpaw mumbled.

Deadgaze nodded. He was the youngest apprentice, earning his name shortly before the move. Though he spent some time in the nursery with some of the apprentices he never played with them. Instead he spent his days curled up with Deadgaze, listening to stories from the older cats.

“Well let’s change that,” Deadgaze meowed to Lostpaw, nudging her shoulder into his. “Go on, have some fun! And if anyone gives you trouble, I’ll bite their tails off.”

Lostpaw gave Deadgaze a small smile and got up, padding towards the group. Deadgaze watched him quietly situate himself in the back. He threw her one last look over his shoulder and she smiled, nodding to him. When he focused on Thrushfeather, Deadgaze turned her attention back to Willowheart and Swallowfoot.

“Shall we?”

Brightwhisper | Med. Cat | Female (she/her) | Location: Collecting Herbs

Brightwhisper mewed with impressment as Lionchaser picked up an herb. "I'll carry those for you," She offered, before turning to look at Quailtooth. "We'll definitely have to go out multiple times a day to get herbs, then. I'm sure Echopaw would love to help," the she-cat said, smiling at the thought of spending valuable time with her young apprentice.

Shadowheart | Warrior | Male (he/him) | Location: Leader's Den

"Great!" Shadowheart purred, feeling glad that Graystar was willing to go out and set up borders. "Do you have any warriors you'd like me to inform? To come with us, I mean, unless you'd rather go by ourselves," he added quickly, his whiskers twitching.

Daisypaw | Apprentice | Female (she/her) | Location: Camp Clearing

Daisypaw decided to pad over to the apprentices... see what they were talking about. The small she-cat kept her distance, however was still able to hear everything. She noticed, with her sharp eyes, that when Pebbletail came into camp, his apprentice, Troutpaw, instantly seemed... disappointed, maybe? She didn't know why this was, but if she were a social apprentice, she'd go over and comfort him.
Although, even if she were, the male instantly changed his expression, as if to purposefully dodge any inquiries of his expression.
Daisypaw sat down a distance away from the bustling group and began to groom her shoulder fur, but kept her ears pinpointed on the gathering.

Lionchaser | Warrior | Male (he/him) | Location: SkyClan Territory | Mentions: Brightwhisper, Quailtooth

Narcissus? That didn't sound particularly edible- Lionchaser was no scholar, but if it's name wasn't "berry sweet flower", he didn't want to eat it. Nonetheless it was pretty to look at and smelled good, so perhaps he'd enjoy the scent and beauty from afar, rather than in his mouth. He looked somewhat disappointed that Brightwhisper wouldn't permit him to carry the precious cargo, and he appeared almost horrified as Quailtooth dug them up. A warrior like him, so soft on flowers? Well, they didn't deserve to be so cruelly uprooted, in his mind...mice weren't pretty. He was ok with killing them. But flowers?

That really ruined his big bad brave warrior vibe, so he cleared his throat and pretended to go on unbothered. However, when Brightwhisper mentioned grabbing her apprentice to fetch herbs, he looked (hypocritically) offended and minorly upset. What- replacing him so soon? But he found the flowers, didn't he?

However, his pea-sized brain was once against distracted when Quailtooth went on about harvesting other plants, specifically something called "birthwort". "Ew," Lionchaser commented briefly whilst wrinkling his nose in disgust. "Sounds gross. Won't smell good." He assumed that by the name, it was used for kitting queens. That, and Quailtooth and Brightwhisper had been conversing about it earlier, it was just that...well, he hadn't exactly been paying attention. The pretty golden flowers had distracted the shallow tom almost instantly. Either way, if it was used for queens, that was good news for Lionchaser. It meant that he'd never have to suffer through eating such a gross thing.

Graystar | Leader | Female (she/her) | Location: Leader's Den/Camp | Mentions: Shadowheart

She seemed to twitch her whiskers in amusement. As a public figure, she generally preferred to keep her clan activities (such as patrols) between as many cats as possible. Naturally, Lionchaser was a special exception, as he was her partner in crime. "I'm an extrovert," the gray tabby commented in a cool tone, rasping her tongue over her paw before rubbing said paw over her forehead to flatten any "bedhead" fur that might have resulted from her nap. She should look at least somewhat presentable as her first full day as leader. "I'd prefer as much company on the patrol as possible. Let's see what warriors are willing to accompany us."

Graystar had since seated herself, and rose to her paws after finishing that final comment. The athletic feline slipped past Shadowheart to exit her den, blinking her blue visionaries as she adjusted to the sheer lighting difference from her dark den to the starkness of a pale-stone camp. The leader's gaze searched the center of camp, which seemed to already be bustling with activity.

{ Feathershine | warrior, 26 moons | location: camp | interactions: Jadepuddle (Envy007) }

Feathershine sat down beside Jadepuddle as she padded over to join him, his tail curling over his large paws as he gave the other warrior a wide smile. "Just excited to get the day started. Have the first patrols been sent out already?" He responded, eager to get his paws moving. He hardly gave her enough time to answer his question, instead suggesting they find something to do for themselves. "Would you like to go out for a hunt with me? Maybe we can gather some warriors together." His head turned, eye looking over his nearby clanmates.

{ Echopaw | med. apprentice, 11 moons | location: camp | interactions: open }

That morning her mentor, Brightwhisper, and the other medicine cat, Quailtooth, had went out to collect herbs. Echopaw had decided not to join them, instead opting to spend the morning organizing the herbs they already had in their stores. She was picky with the way they were kept, always wanting them in neat, categorized piles. Sometimes they got mixed around as the medicine cats used them throughout the day, so she tended to spend a lot of time tidying up. She also had a bad habit of throwing out the ones that were torn or starting to get old. Most herbs were able to be kept for a long time and if one got wrinkled it doesn't mean it's useless, maybe a little less effective if it's juices had started to leak out, but still usable nonetheless. She had to learn how to be more conservative and she tried to keep that in mind as she went through them. She remembered her mentor's teachings, that herbs may be hard to find in leafbare. So they should not be wasteful or careless when using herbs to treat the clan.

The task took all morning, but once she was done the medicine cat den was looking beautiful. Clean, organized... and she'd managed to contain herself and not throw out half the herbs like she had the last time. How shocked she was when the medicine cats were mad rather than grateful. She purred at the memory. Now that she was done, she padded out of the den into camp and glanced around to see who was in camp. She spotted several of her clanmates nearby, chatting among themselves.

Wrensong | Warrior | She/her, they/them | Mentions: Dandelionstep.

Wren was sitting near the elder's den in a shaded area, her long tail coiled around her slender frame. She heard a small moan from inside the elder's den - probably Dandelionstep moaning about they're ticks. With a huff, she got up and headed to the elder's den.

Dandelionstep | Elder | They/Them | Mentions: Wrensong.

Dandelionstep was annoyed by the ticks in their snowy pelt. They were so itchy! They lifted their hind leg and aimed it at a tick, scraping it furiously to ease the itch. They noticed the small-ish figure of Wrensong enter the den.

"Go and get some mouse bile for me, young'un." They ordered the warrior.

Hollowpaw | Apprentice | She/her | Mentions: Open.

Hollowpaw crouched down, her belly fur brushing the ground in the corner of camp. She stalked forward, her hues fixed on the beautiful butterfly. Flattening her tail, she leapt forward, carelessly swiping her fore-paws around in attempt to hook the creature with her unsheathed claws.

Jadepuddle~Warrior~She/her~Location:Camp~Interactions:Feathershine

Jadepuddle nodded, she did spend the first couple moments in the morning doing nothing. "Yeah, I recall one hunting party was sent." She flicks her ears and tail towards the group of warriors and apprentices that were about to head out. "They are soon gonna be patrolling around the territory." There wasn't really much of a need for another hunting patrol, but as a warrior she needed to start recognize her own clan's perimeters and all. "But extra hunting and patrolling never hurt anyone, this is a pretty big clan. Who should come with us? And lets have some apprentices come as well."

Graystar | Leader | Female (she/her) | Location: Leader's Den/Camp | Mentions: Shadowheart, Jadepuddle, Feathershine

It seemed that she had stumbled across a perfect opportunity, with two warriors seemingly attempting to put together a patrol of their own. "Jadepuddle, Feathershine," the blue tabby's voice carried across the gorge with ease as the leader stepped farther away from her den to ensure that her presence was known. It was a shame that she sent off Lionchaser, but then again...maybe the medicine cats could force some sense into his thick skull. Was there an herb to do that?

Anyways... "...If you two are looking for something to do, Shadowheart and I are heading out to establish the clan's first borders." She slipped down the rocky slope with ease, feeling particularly self-conscious at the moment. Graystar felt hot underneath her fur, although she continued to emit a presence of confidence to the best of her ability. A leader could not doubt in her own abilities- although Graystar, she struggled not to. Her first day as leader, and she spent it sleeping in while all of her warriors rose before her? Even Lionchaser was up and working before her. That was saying something.

Brightwhisper | Med. Cat | Female (she/her) | Location: Collecting Herbs

Brightwhisper looked over at Lionchaser. "What do you mean, 'ew'? It is an excellent herb and can save lives during kitting." She rolled her eyes but chuckled. "The name isn't that appealing, anyways," She added before picking up the Narcissus and continued walking.

Shadowheart | Warrior | Male (he/him) | Location: Leader's Den -> Clearing

Shadowheart nodded. "Of course." He then followed Graystar out to the ledge as she announced who would be going with them on the border marking patrol. After she'd mentioned the two warriors that would be coming along, he followed her steadily down the slope, his face stolid, not showing much emotion. He was ready to explore what would be their home for who knows how long... All he knew was that he was going to support his clan through the times.
