The negotiator exhaled, a blow of cool air from his mouth. He was confident that he'd be okay, he was more than capable of holding his own in any situation and Valentine believed that.

Soon they were in the village. People stared at them, some people went into their homes...it was jut a weird place over all. They walked through the town speaking to a few locals to see if they had seen or know of anything. They even just tried to make friends with the locals.

For those who didn't turn away, Valentine was eager to have a chat. He enjoyed learning now things and getting to know what he didn't already. His job wasn't to interrogate them for answer but if striking up a deal to gather more information was required then he was there at the ready. These people didn't seem like threats to others as far as Valentine could see.

Aaron and Doug walked ahead  of the group, just seeming to scan things out. The first mission was supposed to be easy until a loud boom went off behind one of the vehicles. Aaron took off that direction along with a few other soldiers. People in the town, took off into homes or other hiding places. Aaron shouted out an order to the other vehicle who moved further into the town. The boom had been a hidden bomb in the ground...and it went off when the vehicle went over it. The two people in the vehicle, who were soldiers who had been there for a while before Aarons unit arrived were killed in the explosion. There was no way to put the vehicle out, so soldiers started pushing the towns people away from the car while Doug and Aaron approached the car.

The bomb going off shook the ground and pieces of debris went flying. Valentine ducked with the people he'd been speaking with, more worrier about someone other than him getting hit. He quickly stood up after anything that went flying had landed. He was concerned for those who'd been closest to the blast, it was obvious that whoever was in the vehicle would be dead. Valentine moved closer to check on those who'd been injured by the explosion.

Aaron and Doug stood closest to the vehicle. No other people seemed to be injuries, just shaken up. "Call in a helicopter." Aaron said and soon Doug was getting back in contact with the base. Aaron moved and started sending a few soldiers to scope out the homes nearest to where the bomb went off just in case they might find the person behind it. Aaron felt his heart racing and his ears ringing slightly both him and Doug had been pretty close to the vehicle but not close enough to get hurt.

Valentine approached the Sergeant first, since the other military man was given his own orders. "Sergeant there's been minimal minor injuries, most are just going through initial shock." He told the other, not mentioning the casualties. At most, one or two people were scratched by a shard of metal or glass. Nothing a bandaid couldn't fix. He eyed Aaron "Your physical state is fine?"

Aaron nodded, "Mhm. Yea, my ears are ringing but that'll wear off later." He said, "You fine?" His eyes scanning over Valentine, just checking to see if he saw any injuries. He sighed as he seemed to be mainly talking to himself, "Today was supposed to be calm yet we got two men dead." He said with a frown, seeming in his own little world for a minute

"Best not to dwell on it, it's good it was quick." Valentine smiled weakly. His response could be considered cold for such a warm man but there was truth to it. There was no use pondering on what could have happened when it was too late now. "Just have to be more careful, I trust that everyone is on the lookout now." He continued, offering reassurance. If he was able to help, he wouldn't stay standing with the Sergeant for too long.

Aaron nodded, "Go check with rhe locals i doubt any of them will tells us much but its worth a shot." He told Valentine before he headed off on his own. Everyone was scanning the city looking for any bombs or anything else. He sighed a little as he cleared his throat. The helicopter soon came and they took care of whatever was left of the men who had been in that car. Aaron and a few other soldiers were questioning some locals but they werent able to find who activated the bomb.
