OKAY- Second time's a charm? ;-; ))

Tiago had been walking for ten or so minutes when he swore he heard footsteps up ahead. He cautiously approached the sound, making sure to stay hidden. . . Shi? He wondered, seeming confused. Most students either lived on campus, or near it, which is why it was so strange to see someone so far from base. Well, other than him, of course.
It took him around five seconds to notice something else, though. Does she have. . horns? He tried to decide if he'd really seen that, or if it had just been his imagination. Shitttt- Do I go after the potential demon, or do I go home and say it was just the lighting? Ughhh- Mom will be worried if I'm not home soon. . He groaned internally, knowing he'd have to choose. If I go after her and it turns out to just be the lighting, then I'll seem like a total creep. I'm not that kind of weirdo. Home it is, then. He sighed, turning left and continuing down the trail.
He sprinted through the woods in an attempt to make up for lost time, seriously not wanting to be late. He unlocked the door and went inside, still catching his breath. Just as he closed the door and set down his bag, he heard a heartwarmingly familiar sound.
"Tia, tia, tia!" A little girl giggled, running down the stairs to come see him. "Hey, kiddo! How was school?" He smiled, getting down to her level and holding his arms open. He was quickly met with a hug, and he couldn't help but smile. "It was so boringgggg!" His kid sister, Andrea, was only seven, but they were still very close. "Heyyyy- Save one for me!" "Me, tooooo!" Two boys around the age of fourteen came running out of the living room, seeming eager to greet him. The twins, Ian and Angel, were identical in appearance, but opposites in personality. All three of his siblings had dark skin and curly black hair, but Andrea had his same blue eyes rather than the brown ones the twins shared. "Oh come on, guys- I just got home! Do you really have to tackle me?!" He laughed, pulling them all in for a quick hug before standing back up, propping Andrea on his hip. "How's Mom?" He asked, sounding a little worried. "She's still in bed, but she says she's feeling a little better." Tiago hesitated, unsure of if they were telling the truth. "Alright- You guys go play, then. I do believe you owe me a round of Mario Cart, Angel." He smirked, setting Andrea down and ruffling her hair. "I'm gonna whoop your ass on Rainbow Road- Just you wait!" Angel boasted, turning and running back to the living room with Ian close behind. "Hey- Language! God, Angel was definitely not the right name for that kid." He muttered that last part to himself.
He turned and headed up the stairs and down the hall to his room, flopping down on his bed. He couldn't stop thinking about what he'd seen, and that he might've accidentally let a demon go free. Dammit. How the hell do I figure that out without asking? He sighed, closing his eyes to think for a minute.

YESSSSSSSSS- TAKE THAT, UNIVERSE! ))

(HECC YOU UNIVERSE >:) )

"Shi eyes were on you," Taira murmured as they were locked in combat.

"Haha, very funny Taira. No one knows of my whereabouts," Shi said.

"You're just trying to distract me."

Taira withdrew from their locked position and cocked his head.

"I would not make this up, Shi. When you were coming home, I felt the presence of someone near the cottage. The presence wasn't strong enough for me to decipher who or what it was, but something or someone was definitely looking at you, if not following you," he said, lowering his sword. His eyes were serious, Shi could tell that much. He only ever gets serious when there's an obvious threat posed towards Shi.

"Hm, okay then Taira. I know you wouldn't get serious like this out of nowhere," she muttered. Inari, Ebisu, and Jizo all materialized next to Shi and Taira.

"We also felt their presence Shi, and if I must say I don't think I like their aura," Inari admitted. Inari didn't often come forward, in fact she tried to avoid conflict. Inari was quite destructive so she tried to not let her emotions and feelings, especially those for Shi, run rampant.

"Hmm... This is rather serious then. If Inari was unsettled by the presence, then this home isn't safe any longer. I will go into town with you four. You're going to join my party, it'll lower suspicion since Humans tend to stick to groups whereas creatures tend to run solo unless they have a pack mindset. After that, I will get us a map and we can scout out a new location for us to live and hide at." Shi was rubbing her forehead as a sign of irritation and distress.

"Hm, you think we can pass as Humans," Ebisu countered.

"If you take on your humane appearances and hide your in-humane appearances they won't notice. Humans are pretty dull when it comes to noticing creatures that are able to hide their features," Shi commented. The four deities were rubbing their chins and then nodded in approval. Ebisu, Taira, Jizo, and Inari went and took their humane appearances.

Taira took on the appearance of a Samoan man in Samurai armour. He was rather tall and extremely large. He stood at roughly 6'10", almost 7 feet tall. Nothing was seen outside of the armour except for the glow of his red eyes. Ebisu took on the appearance of a tall, slim Japanese man. He was wearing a suit and had glasses as well. He stood at about 6'4". Jizo was a shorter, more friendlier looking man. He had blonde hair and was a bit plumper. He had a friendly smile and stood at about 5'10". He was also wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. Inari took on the appearance of a Japanese woman. She had a long white traditional Japanese dress with red foxes on it. She also had a white and red Kitsune mask that she let rest on the side of her face. She had light brown eyes and black hair with fair skin. She stands at about 6'0".

Shi looked over them and nodded at them. She walked around them, examining them closely, ensuring that nothing looked off.

"Hm, all right these forms should do. I can tell they're heavily influenced by what you're known for," Shi muttered eyeing them knowingly.

All four deities stammered their denies, making a fuss over everything. Shi rolled her eyes and dismissed their denies with a wave of her hand as she pinched the bridge of her nose with the other hand.

"Yeah yeah, deny all you want. By Taira, you're a known Samurai, which is what you're highly appraised for. Inari, you're a Kami heavily related with Kitsune, hence my familiar. Ebisu is associated with wealth, I don't even need to explain your appearance. Jizo, you are known to be a protector to kids and a friendly face. I again, don't even need to explain that one," Shi said matter-of-factly. She was no longer pinching the bridge of her nose and was staring at them with a knowing look, her arms crossed over her chest. The only reason Shi was able to tell what they roughly looked like, was due to their omnipotent aura's. Everything on them glows and is extremely vibrant to Shi. She could tell even the smallest of details, down to how many hairs are on their head.

All the Kami's fell quiet and looked like a bunch of kids who just got scolded and told they had to eat all the vegetables on their plate.

"Exactly," Shi said in confidence and with a nod of her head.

"Now, we shall head into the town yes," Inari questioned.

"Yes, and for the love of Kami's, let me do all the talking. You don't speak like Humans do... You're uh... Odd in regards to speaking. All four of you are," Shi stated. She was followed will complaints and Shi groaned and began walking away from them, not wanting to entertain their childlike banter. She entered the cabin and grabbed her cloak and put it over her body, pulling the hood over the top of her head. She made her fangs and horns disappear before looking at a whimpering Masao.

"Can you take on the appearance of a dog? If not you can't come with us Masao," Shi said apologetically. Masao squealed in glee and jumped down by Shi's foot. Soon enough, black smoke whirled around Masao and he turned into a black hound with eyes similar to Shi's along with red rings along it.

"Huh. Impressive," Shi muttered in shock.

"He learned that after you left without him. It hurt him so he sought power, so he'd never be left behind again," Inari commented as she materialized next to Shi. She nodded and pat Masao's head as her large familiar was panting and drooling all over the floor. Shi's eyes held a sad shine due to the fact she hated leaving Masao behind. It wasn't something she liked to do.

"I see. Well. I guess we'll be on our way then," Shi exclaimed with a clap of her hands. Inari nodded and Masao barked before racing to the door and sitting impatiently at it, his tail thudding loudly against the wooden floor. Shi chuckled softly before walking over to Masao.

"Make sure you stay by my side Masao. You're a dog, but you are an unusual colour. They may ask questions, even though some normal dogs are born with un-natural markings," Shi stated and was greeted with Masao nodded energetically. Shi opened the door and Masao raced out, but didn't go too far and waited for Shi by running around in circles. This caused the Kami half-breed to chuckle. Before stepping outside, she picked her box up and slipped the straps over her arms, hoisting it onto her back. Heading outside, the four deities materialized behind her and were bantering and talking with one another. They were all in high spirits, excited about the upcoming adventure. Shi was nervous however, she didn't like sending her familiar and deities into the Human world

After all Humans are vile.

And thus their trip began. They walked through the forest and onto the path and began to head towards the town.

ANARCHYYYYYYYY- ))

Tiago laid there for around twenty minutes, just trying to take a nap. Unfortunately, he was too bothered by the previous sighting to fall asleep. He stood up after a while, heading back downstairs.
"Tiaaaa- Come play with meeeee!" Andrea tugged on his sleeve, causing him to turn around and look down. "I'm a little busy right now. How about we play before bed?" He sighed, sounding a little stressed. "Awwh- Why not now?" She asked, sounding more curious than saddened. "I've gotta go get momma her medicine, and then I have to make dinner." He told her, getting down to her height. "Ooh- Can I come? I wanna come with!" She exclaimed, her eyes glowing slightly.
Her abilities were very different from the rest of the family's, and it showed. Instead of being able to manipulate all matter, she simply had bioluminescent accents. The ability was pretty much useless, and was the result of a genetic mutation.
"Kiddo, you can't even keep your powers under control." He sighed, sounding unsure. "Pleeeeeeeease! I can make them stop, see?" She forced her eyes to stop glowing, and he was rather impressed. ". . Alright, but ONLY if you promise to behave! We're going to be in the market, so you have to stay by me." He warned her, making sure she knew it was serious. "I will!" She smiled brightly, running to the door and getting her shoes on.
"Ian, Angel! What do you want for dinner?" He called, but got no response. Darn brats- They've probably got headphones on again. He grumbled to himself, grabbing his phone. He slipped his shoes back on and took Andrea's hand, making sure he had everything before they left.
It took around thirty minutes to get back into town since he had Andrea with him, but he would have been lying if he said he didn't want her there. She always made things more lively, and saw the world not for what it was, but for what it could be. He enjoyed listening to her ramble on about pointless things as if they were the most important things in the world, and they made his days seem less miserable.
"Alright, remember what we agreed?" He asked, looking down at her as they entered the market. "Don't let go of your hand, and if any weirdos pop up, scream reeeeeeeeeally loud?" She recalled, looking up at him with wide eyes. "Good girl. Let's go get Momma's meds, and then we can pick out some stuff for dinner." He smiled, ruffling her hair a little.

(ANARCHYYYY!!!! >:D)

Shi and her band of five misfits made it into town. Inari was the most excited whereas Ebisu and Taira were on edge. Jizo was happy as well to see life flourishing. Shi was on edge, though her body and face didn't show it. She has learned how to mask her emotions hundreds of years ago. Looking around she she scrunched her nose, her aura senses were getting overwhelmed due to how many people were around.

She stepped to the left off to the side where there was grass and a bench. She sat down and closed her eyes, the sounds around her drowning out. She was focusing on her aura senses, calming herself down from the busy world. Once she was focused, she regained her bearings and found out where she had to go to get to the market.

Standing up she gestured for the others to follow and they did so. Taira had to yank on Inari's arm to get her attention. She had always been fascinated with the Human lifestyle. She walked down a stone road before happening upon the Adventurer's Guild. She walked in and again, all eyes were on her. She walked up to the same girl and looked down at her.

"I have four members to add to my party," Shi said bluntly.

"Uh, er, erm, oh, o- okay," the girl stammered in surprise. She handed Shi four application forms, which she filled out herself. She glared over at the four behind her. Inari and Jizo were giving her puppy dog eyes to fill out their own applications. Shi rolled her eyes and shook her head. She gestured over to a table to sit at with a nod of her head. She walked over and sat down, the four Kami's and Masao all followed. She sat down, the four Kami's also took a seat, and Masao laid on the ground at Shi's feet.

"You do remember what I said right? I'm doing everything because you're all odd," Shi hissed sharply under hear breath. Inari and Jizo whined before Taira cut them off.

"Enough! You knew the rules, we have to abide by them. Whether you want to accept and admit it or not, Shi knows the Human way better than we do," Taira said quietly but sternly. Shi nodded and filled out all of their forms. Inari's name was now Izumi. Jizo was now Jun. Taira was now Taiki. Ebisu was now Eito. Exhaling she scribbled other useless false information down before nodding. People around her were fascinated at the fact someone blind was able to fill out a form.

"Idiots. Of course no one focuses on Aura seeing. It's a lost art," Shi murmured under her breath. Standing up, she nodded to the four and they walked back over. She handed the girl the four forms and received four Adventurer Badges in return. She handed one badge to each Kami before thanking the girl and walking out. Masao followed closely at her heels, constantly panting and slobbering.

"Damn dog," she muttered before chuckling and rubbing his head. Upon exiting the Guild, she turned to the right and began walking towards the market.

"Okay. Now. All we need is a map, preferably of the world." Shi was more so speaking herself than to the other Kami around her. They all nodded in agreement and seemed to surround Shi. Even though she was still in the front, they covered her sides and her back. It was like Shi had her own personal entourage of body guards. They definitely fit and looked the part. Well. Maybe except for Jizo. Inari was definitely feminine, but something about her appearance gave off a dangerous aura.

The group walked for another five to ten minutes before they made it to the center of the market. There were several Humans around and it had Shi on edge, yet her body language and facial expressions didn't give off any tips to how she was feeling. She walked around before closing her eyes.

"Shi, there's a presence here. A familiar one I think? I can't be certain. I don't like how it feels. Please be on your guard," Taira spoke quietly in her ears. He didn't want to alert anyone that something may be wrong. Shi looked at him and nodded, he was serious again.

They looked through several booths before Shi saw him.

Tiago

She sneered slightly before looking away from him. She was curious as to why he was here, but after thinking about it for a brief moment it was obvious.

They're at a market.

Everyone comes here for something, whether it be a map in their case, or food, or drink, clothes, anything. She huffed out heavily before looking to her right.

"Is something the matter, Shi?" Inari's stare lingered on Tiago before flickering over to Shi.

"Hm. The man you were looking at. That's Tiago. He's the most bloodthirsty, vile, disgraceful Human being I have ever met. He takes genuine pleasure in slaughtering creatures and holds no remorse. He views us all as simple minded beasts who just wish to cause destruction. It doesn't matter if it's a Slime he's fight or a Demon. He takes pleasure in it all. I'd say he's a battle junkie like myself... But battle junkies fight with a purpose. We don't kill for sport nor do we lack the empathy or sympathy for our opponent. We treat our opponents with respect... I don't know if there's a single speck of remorse or empathy in that man. As for the girl holding his hand, I would imagine it's a family member. Though I could be wrong. I don't know much of him, and I'd rather forget his existence as quickly as I learned of it. There's no understanding or talking with him about anything," She stated as she looked through the goods at this stall.

"We have to keep looking, none of these stalls have a map," Shi hissed, now under more pressure.

"Excuse me, I don't suppose you'd know a vendor with a map for sale would you," Shi asked the female merchant. The older, plump mum smiled at her softly with tired eyes.

"Yes my dear, I do actually. If you keep walking straight, you'll see a rather extravagant vendor. He sells everything from crystals, to weapons, to maps," the lady spoke. Shi thanked her and gave her some gold coins in thanks. The woman tried to give Shi her money back but she refused, bowed to her in respect, before quickly turning and walking in the direction the woman mentioned.

Of course Shi was aware this could be a bust, but it was better than nothing. She was also aware that Tiago was near this vendor though not speaking with him. He had no reason to come up to her, and she could just purchase the map and leave. Find a new place to settle.

After walking for a few minutes, passing several vendors, Shi finally noticed through her aura what the woman meant by extravagant. The vendor had a large stall, that had a covered wagon connected to it. Within the wagon were several oddities and sparkling items. All the magical items he had glowed brightly in her aura, as well as all the gold and silver trinkets he had. Shi walked up to him and looked at his items. The merchant stared her up and down, before he shrunk back as the other four stood behind Shi staring the merchant in the eyes.

"I was told you have a map of the whole world for me," Shi spoke in a monotone yet authoritative tone. The merchant nodded and went inside the covered wagon.

"Actually I have several, it depends on the era you would like," he called from the wagon before coming back out. The merchant was an older fella who was balding and had glasses with the chain on them to prevent them from falling off. He was wearing a dark green shirt with black suspenders over them that clasped to his black pants. He was a bit on the plump side but his eyes sparkled and he had a kind face.

As Shi looked at the maps her eyes narrowed and her eyebrows furrowed.

"Something the matter miss?" The merchant looked at her curiously.

"Hm, not in particular. I just recognize one of these maps," she murmured. The merchant's eyebrows furrowed and he looked at the maps he had given Shi.

"There's no way you should be able to recognize any of these, considering where I got them from," the merchant spoke back to her in confusion. Shi definitely recognized one of the maps, in fact she had created it. It was a map of this era that, if you unraveled it far enough, showed the past several era's as well.

"Hm, I'll take this one," Shi said, tapping on the map she recognized. Then, another caught her eye. It was a map that outlined where certain creatures were known to be located.

"And this one please," she said, her tone chilling. She tapped on the map that signified where all creatures were.

"Ah some very good choices miss! That would be 40 gold coins for the both of them though," the merchant began trailing off. Shi dropped a pouch of well over 40 gold coins and stared at him with a dagger like glare.

"Do not assume someone's wealth purely by how they look merchant. Just like it's ill advised to assume someone's strength based on appearance," she hissed at him. The merchant's face fell and apologized to her.

"You're right. I was once a soldier, I see you are one of the same. Pardon my disrespect, I just often have people come here and just waste my time," he said in a sheepish tone. Shi eyed him up and down before putting another pouch of gold coins on his stand.

"Consider this an apology from those who mistreated your kindness and your stall." Shi took the maps and nodded to the merchant before turning around. She noticed Tiago was still here, which kept her on edge.

"Time to go," she said to the five beings with her.

WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO-! ))
*Just so you know, this is the kind of chaos you should expect from me regularly XD*

Tiago had just been speaking with a young lady about his mother's medicine when he felt Andrea's hand leave his. He knew she wouldn't wander far, but it still worried him.
"Alright, thanks, Naomi." He sighed, handing her the money and taking the small white bag of pills and liquids. He turned to get Andrea, but quickly realised that she was nowhere to be found. Shit- I told her to stay put! He tried not to panic, and began looking around him. Just then, he heard exactly what he had been afraid of. She screamed.
He rushed towards the sound and saw her arguing with a group of boys who seemed to be picking on her. "Gods- This thing doesn't shut up!" One of them groaned, tugging at her hair. "Do you fucking mind?" He snapped, walking over to her and stepping in between them. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" He turned and picked her up, trying not to end these bastards right here and now. "Hey, man, we're just having some fun. This thing ran into me while we were walking." One of them rolled their eyes nonchalantly. "This thing happens to be my sister. I suggest you apologize before I snap your fucking neck." He narrowed his eyes, just trying to keep himself calm. "Alright, alright- Whatever, man. Sorry." He apologized, but it was obviously bullshit. Tiago could tell just based by the look on their faces that they knew who he was, and he was glad for once that his reputation preceded him.
He gritted his teeth and flipped them off before redirecting his attention to Andrea, who seemed more pissed than he was. "Drea, what the hell were you thinking?! I said not to wander off! You had me worried sick, kid!" He sighed, looking her in the eyes. "I saw a butterfly!" She told him, thinking that it was a very good reason to have left like that. "Mmhm. Veeeery convincing argument. You promised me you could handle this, kid. If you can't, then I don't think I can bring you next time." He held her with one arm, propping her up on his hip while he put the small bag into a pocket. "I can handle it! I won't get distracted again, I promiseee!" She insisted as he walked back towards the exit of the market.
He didn't leave, though. Instead, he stopped by the last few vendors and picked out a few assorted vegetables. "Thanks, Tio." He smiled weakly, taking the large bag and tying it off. "Ewww- Vegetables!" Andrea stuck out her tongue, frowning at the chosen items. "They're good for you, and you're eating them." He seemed fairly done with her attitude at the moment, but he'd never snap at her. The only reason those jackasses were even still alive is because he'd never do that in front of her, or any of his siblings.

It's kinda late for me, so I'm gonna *Poof* after this post! I really like where this is going so far, and I'll talk to you tomorrow or whenever you're online! ^^ ))

(That's totally fine, I don't mind OOC talking at all! Sleep well, my sleeping schedule is pretty fawked but I'll be on tomorrow at some point!!)

Before Shi and the others left, she noticed a scuffle between Tiago, the small female Human, and a group of unruly boys. She cocked her head, her lips curling into a cruel smirk.

"Now isn't that comical. Humans can get away with this without any harm being done to them. But if that were done by anything other than a Human, Tiago would've killed them in an instant. Pathetic," she hissed under her breath. Rolling her eyes as he flipped them off, she heard Taira snort in humour.

"Flipping them off is all he does," the Samurai questioned in humour.

"Is he not strong?" Inari looked puzzled, looking between the retreating Tiago and the group of boys.

"It's neither him being weak or a coward. I'm pretty sure he didn't want to cause a scene. Humans also live by a set of rules. None of which apply to us. It's fascinating in many regards, but cruel as well. Seeing as anyone or anything who isn't a Human isn't protected by such laws," Shi spoke calmly. The Kami's around her let out a collective "oh" in response as they looked at her.

"You sure learned a lot about Humans, didn't you Shi," Ebisu asked her.

"Hm. You could say that. I didn't learn nearly as much as I'd hoped to. The majority of what I learned was their skewed history. Most of it is wrong. It was quite interesting though, they did had a small and short topic on me. The "Weapon of Mass Destruction" as they referred to me as. Of course, most of their information is wrong," Shi said.

"The main inaccuracy is them believing that I don't walk amongst them and if I had they feel like they'd know immediately," she continued.

"Now, that's ironic," Jizo said, chuckling softly. Shi nodded in agreement, though she was staring off.

"It's ironic yes. But that's what these Humans believe and it's what they've been told for hundreds of years. Inaccurate history is dangerous and makes it all the harder to try and right everything did they did wrong. It also means that any Human we interact with will meet us with lethal force. There's a good chance they'll end up sending a specialized force after me as I grow closer and closer with all 13 Kami's." Shi exhaled heavily and pinched the bridge of her nose once more as she looked up at the sky, her eyes closed.

After a few moments she let out a sigh and dropped her hand.

"Come on, I don't want to be here any longer." Shi began walking towards the exit once again. Masao was padding happily next to her. One thing about Masao is that the stronger he grows, the better transformations he can take. In due time with enough training he'll be able to shift into a dragon. That's what Shi has been working towards with him at least. It would allow Masao to protect himself better and could also provide as a means for transportation.

The four Kami's stayed behind Shi as she walked, as per usual. They met the exit and continued towards the forest.

"Tell us more about the Humans, maybe the good Humans?" Inari looked at Shi with wide and hopeful eyes. Shi groaned and rolled her eyes.

"Fine, but from what I experienced there isn't much kindness in their hearts. Which is saddening, seeing as Humans are the creatures that feel the most emotions. But. From what I have seen, they do show compassion. Especially for those they care for, and by Kami's they're smart. They have advancements creatures would never be able to think of. Running water that's fresh and clean, houses that don't break with every storm, they even have technological advancements even I never thought would come to life. They also have a pack mentality, Humans don't do well alone. Which matches the compassionate side. Though, like I mentioned, it's mainly for family or loved one's. They can be selfless when they want to, sacrificing their lives so others may live. Not to mention Humans are damn persistent. They have tenacity like no other creature I have ever met. If they can't do something they'll try again and again and again and again until they succeed. And after the first success, they push themself to further success. They just don't give up it seems. They're also the only race I have met that's willing to help total strangers." Shi stared at the ground as she spoke.

"I don't think all of Humanity is tarnished. There are still those who worship all of you and believe in my cause. There's Humans who fight for me without knowing who I am, they fight for my history to be corrected. Every day I see it. I don't believe they're inherently bad... I think they're misguided. But... Hundreds upon hundreds of years they've had false history nailed into their minds. Not even false history just about myself, but about all races. I understand Humans operate because they think they know best. I suppose they are the most... intelligent race per se. Outside of deities of course. But that doesn't really matter. Seeing as they're essentially waging wars on all forms of races." She continued to speak, still staring at the ground.

"Which is going to become very dangerous very quickly. Because even though they're intelligent and persistent, they lack in numbers. The Fae, Demons, Vampires, Werewolves, every race in existence is forming their armies. They're preparing for this illogical war that's just going to end up with the Human race going extinct and several other races going extinct. So much pointless bloodshed, for no reason. It makes zero sense, but Humans are hellbent on being the only race or being the top race and imprisoning or enslaving the others. It's saddening really." Shi sighed softly before looking up.

"It's insane truly. Their trade commerce would go up exponentially. So many other races can offer things to trade that Humans can't make or come by. Other races could teach Humans so much in regards to building things, farming, building proper connections, and so much more. Humans would benefit from befriending and allying with other races but their ego and fear blinds them. Humans operate off of a fight or flight mode, and it's like the switch is constantly on fight. Anything they don't understand, they fear. And instead of trying to understand and learn, they lash out with aggression and violence. Which is what we're currently going through. Now, I understand not all races are good. I know Vampires and Demons especially have high Human mortality rates, so do Dark Elves and Orcs. There's several other races as well, but those are the four races with the highest Human mortality rate," Shi continued but Taira interjected.

"So Humans are just a fearful race too intelligent for their own good?" Taira was truly trying to understand.

"Hm, I suppose so. But they're also dull. Meaning they're dumb as well. They're dumb in regards to trade commerce and ally relations. It's unfortunate. They're smart in a plethora of things except for where it truly matters. I also try to give them more credit than they deserve, I try to, no. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt... But they've chased and have tried to hunt me for hundreds of years. Threatened the most vile of things upon me. Killed anyone that may have been close to me. I refuse to form connections outside of you 13 Kami's and Masao. They kill everything I love." Shi's eyes flickered dangerously and her own aura that displays her true power began to slip out. Every creature, every race, is able to see each individual's aura. However, Shi masks hers because hers is larger, much much larger than most high ranking Humans and nearly, if not all other races.

"Humans forced me into solitude. That's why I despise Humanity, they've done nothing good for me. They ruin everything that's good in the world for their own selfish desires. To spread their disease. They've come to lands not soiled by Humans and killed off several races with diseases. I don't understand how they did it, but they did. It just sucked the life out of anything and everything. It was the worst sight I've ever seen from Humanity. Not to mention the constant wars ruining the land, killing the animals, destroying forests, blowing up lakes and draining it of all the water... They're destroying our world, our ecosystem and they couldn't give a damn." Shi's aura only seemed to grow.

"You know, the day I truly do die, is the day Humankind along with all other races die too. They truly have no idea what would happen if I died. Natural disasters would take the lands, diseases would rampage through the villages, lakes and oceans would dry up, wildlife and crops would wither and die... Humanity and all other races would cease to exist," she sneered, anger enveloping her.

"Humanity is too blind too see how much they need me," she hissed.

"And that's the most ironic thing of all." Shi looked over at the Kami's behind her.

"Shi, your aura," Taira commented sternly. Exhaling, Shi forced herself to calm down and the aura around her was pulled back into her body.

"Thank you Taira, I was losing my cool there a bit," she muttered. She shook her head free of the thoughts and sighed softly.

"Like I said, Humanity isn't all bad. They're just mostly bad." Shi gave Inari a soft smile before looking back in front of her. The group had made it to the edge of the forest and walked in back towards Shi's cottage.

Elloooooo~ Not sure what time zone you're in lol, but it's like eight for me- ))
Soo- Good morning? XD ))

Tiago didn't set Andrea down until they reached the edge of the forest and headed in, still seeming to be on edge from the previous incident. They began walking, but he got the feeling that they weren't alone.

"Andy, do you remember what to do if I say-" He began, but was quickly cut off by her.

"I know, I knowww- Run home and get the twins. You've only told me a hundred times!" She rolled her eyes dramatically, sounding rather fed up with him. Even for such a small child, she had one hell of a spirit, and her aura was powerful for someone her age, even despite the fact that she wasn't all that powerful. The math there had never really added up, but Tiago had long since given up on trying to figure it out.

". . Good job." He sighed, glancing down at her. He loved the girl to death, but she could be . . a lot sometimes.

They continued walking, but Tiago froze when he heard footsteps behind them. It wasn't his imagination either; These were very clear, and he could sense four. . no, five beings. Did those bastards from before seriously follow us?! Dammit, I can't have her here to see this.

He got down to her level, handed her the bag of groceries with their mom's meds in it and then gave her a look to let her know it was serious. "Hey, I forgot to get rutabagas. I'm gonna head back." He told her, and that was all it took. There was a flash of panic in her eyes, but then she gave a small nod and ran ahead. He was glad she'd at least remembered the code word, but he still worried she wouldn't know the route home. Regardless, he needed to see who was behind them.

He got back up and turned around, seeming pissed beyond belief. He began walking back up the trail towards the footsteps, trying not to make too much noise as he went. Just as he was about to knock the earth out from beneath these strangers, he recognized one of the faces.

Shi? What the hell is with her today? This is like the sixth time I've seen her- Shit, do they know I'm here yet? He wondered, just wanting to avoid talking. Unfortunately, it was a little too late to turn back, so he decided to speak instead.

"Shi? Uhh- Hi? Sorry, there were some creeps earlier, and I thought it was you guys." He sighed awkwardly. Well isn't this lovely. Nothing like an awkward elevator conversation to end your day. Sarcasm, Tiago's No.1 skill.

(Good morning~ I haven't slept yet :') )

As they continued through the forest, Shi could sense the presence of someone else. She wasn't sure who, but a sense of dread seemed to course through her body.

"Shi, someone is in front of us," Taira spoke on edge. Shi nodded in agreement and raised her pointer finger to her lips.

Act calm and stay quiet. Chances are it's just a villager. If things get hairy I'll need you in your sword forms.

The Kami's looked at Shi upon receiving the message from her mentally. They all nodded and Shi continued forward. Masao who was galloping along, sniffing and marking the path now had his hackles raised. He was following closely by Shi's side, his head low. His eyes held a predatory glare in them.

"Masao, if things get rough, I need you to seek Inari or hide yourself. You're not strong enough to fight on your own yet and I can't risk losing you." She smiled down at him softly, petting his head gently. Masao sneezed in response. Shi rolled her eyes.

"Oh good grief, don't give me attitude," she muttered before chuckling softly.

The group continued forward until Shi abruptly stopped. She scanned the tree line, the presence uncomfortably close to them now. Her eyes narrowed, and it was then that a guy walked out.

No, not a guy.

Tiago

She clicked her tongue in aggravation, though her body language and facial features didn't show this. As the male before her rambled out his reasoning for nearly causing an altercation, Shi cocked her head. Her slender right eyebrow raised, almost in amusement.

"I wasn't aware that the top performer in his class didn't know how to speak to women. What a real mood killer," Shi snickered in amusement.

"We saw the altercation, maybe you should pay better attention to your... Sister? Daughter? Niece," Shi dismissed what she was saying with a wave of her hand.

"What I'm getting at is...," Shi trailed off.

"We both know how vile Humankind is. Don't we?" Shi cocked her head, her eyes glistening. A small smile crept up on her lips. The red rings in her eyes seemed to glow with an intention that could be deciphered as many things. Cruel. Excitement. Bloodlust... The list goes on. Shi slowly began to circle Tiago, looking down at him as she did so. The four deities stood where Shi had stopped. Their eyes never left her and she could tell that they were on edge with her actions. Masao still had his hackles raised and his keen eyes were locked on Tiago.

Shi was having fun. No harm in that...

Right?

"Now, what reason do you have for being this deep in the forest? Does your family live here, do you reside with them? It's usually frowned upon to live in the forest because you're so far from civilization. It can be hard to... Get the resources you need. Seek medical attention, get food. The forest doesn't provide much for food." She eyed the man knowingly, her maniacal still spread on her lips thinly.

"Though I can't say I blame you. The solitude and fresh, untouched air is crisper than the rest. Truly, a breath of fresh air, if you will. I thought I saw you buy medication at the market. Is someone in your household ill?" She stopped in front of him, her hood still pulled over her head. She cocked her head to the right, her eyes glowed brightly, yet curiously.

Shi was a true battle junkie by nature. She couldn't help herself, especially not when such a strong opponent who she despised was before her. It was all so... Delicious to her. So fascinating. The adrenaline from not knowing if you'll win or not. It was the only drug Shi craved and desired. Her fingers twitched at the thought of holding him at sword point. Though, she didn't have any ill will towards his family.

No, no of course not.

Just. Him.

It was unfortunate though, he didn't know this. Shi, right now, just looked like the weirdo the rumours made her out to be. It's not like she was an actual monster. No. She did have a high Human mortality rate.

However.

The Humans she killed weren't innocent.

No. No they weren't.

They were all guilty in one form or another. They all killed innocent creatures, even other Humans. They did unspeakable things to Humans and other creatures alike. It truly was disgusting. Even though they have these specific rules and laws they're supposed to follow, very few of them actually do.

"You know what I find fascinating, Tiago," Shi spoke once again in question.

"That Humankind, you and I alike, are bound by a set of rules, laws even. And yet...," Shi looked into his eyes, her glare piercing like daggers.

"Humankind can't seem to follow them." She began to laugh, her hand covering her face, though it exposed her right eye which shone brightly.

"What's even more ironic, is that most of the killings and crimes that get pinned on creatures other than Humans," she trailed off, slowly lowering her hand, and letting it fall at her side. Her stare became dull and emotionless. It was like she was staring into Tiago's soul.

"We're actually committed by Humans." Her laugh turned into a sinister cackle and her hand covered her face once more as she continued to laugh. Parts of her hair fell from her hood and over her hand as she continued to laugh, she almost doubled over from it all.

After a moment, Shi straightened up and stared at him, emotionless once again. Shi just couldn't help but let the battle junkie side of her loose. It was one of the few things that made her feel the emotion "happiness" or "enjoyment". Mainly Shi can only understand and feel anger and sadness. Confusion is one she struggles with. Happiness, and any similar emotions are almost non-existent in her.

"Don't you find it all so ironic and amusing Tiago? I also think it's quite funny how all of Humankind is oh so fragile as well. Quick to let emotions consume them. You and I both. It's out of our control, yet so controllable at the same time." Her smile slowly crept back on her face.

"It's all so, so amusing." Her cackle began to ring out again and she covered her face once again, slightly tilting her head back. Shi was relishing in this moment, she was living off the small amount of adrenaline this interaction was giving her. She hasn't fought anyone worth her time in quite some time. It's also been several years since someone of his strength has held a conversation with Shi.

"Say Tiago... What's your goal? What do you plan to do with your life?" Shi's tone became sharp, dangerous. Her eyes grew hard and her face became serious. Her eyes gave him a look that seemed to say, if you answer in a way that displeases me we're going to have some... fun. She cocked her head, her hand now at her side. The four Kami's were clearly unsettled by how Shi was acting, though they knew that once Shi got her rush, she would do anything to chase it.

A true goddam battle junkie.
