Finch sighed as he washed off a glass. He had started his new bartender job today, and it had been fun at the start. But it had gotten old quick, people misgendering him when he was turned around because of his body type, men he used to know before he transitioned calling him by his dead name. So, all in all it was a great day! Not. But, he was almost to the end. Just 10 more minutes and he'd be done. Finch wondered if Avi was going to pick him up like she said she would. She was unpredictable so he never really knew when she would show up and when she wouldnt. He looked at his watch, Ugh, finally. He put the cup away, said goodbye to his coworkers and went to get his things. He changed in the bathroom into a Korn band t-shirt and his favorite black ripped jeans. Goodbye, dickhead straight cis men. He thought, pushing the door open and exiting the bar to wait for Avi. |

 )˚˚Avi˚˚ Avi, who was most certainly not ready, glanced up at the time in the corner of her computer. Muttering a curse then an apology to Finch she quickly saved the document, grabbing her keys, wallet and sunglasses. Quickly heading into the apartment's garage she pulled up maps to find her way to the new bar. Frustrating to learn a new route but Finch wanted a new job and so be it. Not like they had much else to do during the day anyway! Following the route set out, it took just over 15 minutes to pull up next to the bar. Leaning over the centre console, they opened the door and waved at Finch. "Sorry Finch! Hop in love, how was work?" She called out with a grin, glad to see their friend. |

Finch smirked slightly when Avi pulled up 15 minutes late, but didnt comment. He slid into the passenger seat, letting out a large sigh. "It was fun at first. Then I ran into people I knew before I transitioned and they dead named me. And whenever I turned around, people would call me a she." He slid down in his seat after buckling up. "Fucking sucks. But, it pays well so I cant really complain." "Anyways, how was your day?" He asked, turning his head so he could look at them. "Meet any cuties?" He chuckled slightly, smirking again. He loved teasing her about not being taken, despite being single himself. But, that didnt matter. |

˚˚Avi˚˚ "Awh Finch. Hopefully they'll get better with time, yknow?" Avi double checked the side they were pulling onto, grateful they didn't need to to park on the other side where it would've been a lot harder to check whether it was clear. At Finch's teasing, they huffed, pulling onto the road and restarting the map to get back. "Oh yeah. Was great, meetings were just teeming with hot, single people. Had a wonderful time teaching the older lot how to transfer a document." They semi complained. "Did manage to get groceries, so there's food at home, and I actually managed to get the laundry done. With very little mishaps. So yeah, pretty good day overall." |

◇ Finch ◇ "Yeah, well, we'll see." He said, sighing slightly. He watched them out of the corner of his eye as she restarted the map. He smiled slightly and looked out the window instead, "I'm sure they were. Is your boss a hottie?" He asked, laughing. "Yikes, glad I didnt have to do that. I'd take getting misgendered over teaching old people technology stuff any day." He shivered in fear, imagining what that would be like. "Finally! I was starting to think I'd lose the game of 'who will break and buy groceries first?'" He teased his smirk returning to his face as he turned to look at her again. "Yay! Laundry!" He chuckled, smirk growing. |

Avi glanced at Finch, mock horror on her face. "She's 40! Or older, but that's at least 20 years difference. And honestly, we were down to like.... a bag of chips and an apple. I was willing to lose to survive." They pulled up to the apartment, showing the scanner just outside the garage their ID and the door opened. Pulling into their designated spot, Avi grabbed her stuff before opening the door, waiting for Finch to get out before they could lock the car. |

He wiggled his eyebrows at her, making kissing noises. "Yeah and I coulda made those last for at least another week." He said, obviously lying, but he would never admit that. Finch opened the door after Avi got out and grabbed their stuff. He shut the door, letting her lock it. He grabbed his keys out of his pocket, still holding onto his bag from work. "Come on, I'm tired and I wanna watch Family Guy!" He called back as he walked. |

The seemingly young man had stayed late at the animal shelter, he did most days anyways. He wouldn't have minded volunteering there instead of working, but that's also how he ended up being hired. The animals and people had taken a liking to him, he couldn't refuse such a sudden and kind offer. He was fostering a dog at the moment, a husky mix, big in size and with an even bigger heart. The place he lived in could probably only handle just that one dog. He was walking back from his work with said dog, strolling through the streets until they reached the apartment complex they lived in. Valentine heard rather enthusiastic chattering, likely also people who lived in the building. He'd been so busy with work, visits to the orphanage and classes that he hadn't unpacked properly yet or met his neighbours. |

He stopped for a moment, looking behind him because he felt a familiar kind of feeling. Finch's mismatched eyes met the mismatched eyes of another man, immediately being struck by a headache. He winced in pain and held his head, Shit... I haven't felt like this since I met Avi when we were younger.. Finch squinted at the young man, combing his fingers through his hair. Shit.. what if.. what if I used to know him... He felt an intense urge to go talk to him but just stood still. |
