Wolf Tracker (stats, genetics, and more) - Spreadsheet

Don't like flicking through all of the pages of your wolves to see all their stats and info? Me either, I spent way too much time making a spreadsheet so I could fill it in with all my wolves and figured I could share the spreadsheet with everyone. This is free to use, go crazy, just make note of the Quick guide, it has handy tips if you intend to change anything yourself.

If you have suggestions to improve it, I can look into doing so so feel more than welcome to leave me some feedback!

To use this you need to go to File -> Make a copy. This way you have your own copy to play with. I don't mind helping/answering questions and updating the master copy sheet, but please be mindful of what you are changing on your own copy, as I can't help everyone (but I certainly will try my best).

A really big thank you to Grouse House for all the data you have dug up and made available. It was super helpful in making this guide and  I cannot stress how appreciative I am of you.

A few notes:
- This sheet uses the script editor to run the dynamic drop down selection for personality types/sub types. You have to give it a minute to think and it'll update the drop down. It's really nice. I wanted this for the base coats, but my knowledge of script editing in sheets is just not good enough to figure it out (if it is even possible). You may need to give the script permission to run, if enough people hate it I can see about making it like the base coats (it won't be as fancy where it clears the cells though).

- The base coats utilizes a formula, data validation, and name ranges. Be careful what you change, and make sure your data validation is right if you change anything like adding new/deleting rows to the genetics sheet. All the manually input validation will be off, I recommend you don't do that.

10/24/2020 - Fixed Stat on Master Page to actually do the math. You will need to put in the formula for the O column of cell =SUM(P#:T#)

Thank you for creating this! I imagine it'll help me a lot with organizing my wolves and keeping track of what I want to use them for!

Edit: Wanted to mention that it seems like automatic total update isn't working- Any change in stat columns does not change the total. The color change does happen, but the total isn't automatically calculated. I don't know if this was intentional or a mistake, but I just wanted to let you know!

Edit2: It looks like this may not be an issue on your end! It seems like the formulas don't carry over when copying a document. Odd, but I can enter the formulas in myself using your example doc as a guide!

Ah I know what happened, I cleared out the sheet for the blank version and forgot to re-put the sum formula back into the stats column. It should just be equal =SUM(letter#:letter#) . I'll add it back into the blank document so it works properly!

Loving the tool so far, I'm going to use this to help figure out what the base genetic break down is across my pack to help me pick my stud's base.
Minor issue I found: gray saddle and gray saddle ticking markings seem to missing from the drop down

And some totally subjective suggestions: On my personal sheet I centered columns Master E-I, L, and N-T, and Genetics C, D, and G and numbered the marking slots to make them easier to tell apart

Think it would be possible in the future to add a "roll-over" function to make breeding counters easy to update?

Edited to add: Yellow Cape Ticking was also missing (as are all RMA and NBW exclusive markings I believe, but I guess that's an updating issue)
