He was a bit surprised that she'd kissed him, but he didn't mind. He moved his other hand down to her waist as they kissed. They broke apart a few moments later, and Ryomu was smiling softly as he rested his forehead against hers. |

"I like you too, Sarah. And to be fair, this isn't really the best place to confess either-" He raised an eyebrow jokingly, his hands still around her waist. // Aaaaaaaaand- Timeskip // It'd been nearly a month since the incident in the meeting room, and Ryomu had been dying to get Arisa out of the selection. He'd already decided that Sarah was the one he'd choose, but his father insisted he give Arisa a chance. So of course, like any logical man, he avoided her at all costs. Unfortunately, she'd managed to get ahold of his schedule, and dragged him off as soon as he got out of his meeting. "Where have you been Ryomu?! I've been looking for you!" She asked as they stood on the balcony. "I've been busy, and I still am, so if you don't mind-" He tried to walk past her, but she grabbed his hand. "Ryo! I seriously need to talk to you!" She pleaded. "Don't call me that." He snapped, pulling his hand from hers. "We used to be so close, what happened?!" "Arisa, I don't know how to break this to you, but we've never been close." He sighed, crossing his arms. "The only reason you're here is because of your social status, but I've never been interested in you." "W-What?! But what about all those compliments?! And our dates?!" "You mean the ones I was obligated to give? Arisa, they didn't mean anything. I did that with all the girls." He paused. "Now please, go inside. You're only embarrassing yourself." ". . Is it her?" "What?" "Is it because of her?!" "Who, Lady Arisa?!" "That goddamn witch, Seraphina!" She snapped, throwing her hands down as tears made their way down her cheeks. "Who I'm interested is none of your concern." He retorted, shoving past her to go inside. "I recommend you pack your bags, Lady Arisa; I'll be naming my bride in a few days, and I don't think she'll want you sticking around for too long." He shot her a glare before heading back inside, closing the door behind him. |

He caught her just as she was entering her room. "Elisia! Could I have a word?" "Oh? Sure! Do you need anything, my prince?" She dipped her head, smiling sweetly. "I-" He paused. "Darn it. This is harder than I thought." He lowered his head. "I'm naming my bride soon and . ." "And you're choosing Lady Seraphina. I know, Ryomu." She smiled up at him, not looking hurt or offended. "Y-You do?!" He asked, seeming shocked. "Of course I do! I've seen the way you two look at each other, and Renesmee just adores you!" "And. . You're not mad?" "Ryomu, I came here being told I should try to impress you, that I needed to win you over, but my heart does not belong to you." She glanced over towards the maids' chamber doors. "Sooo~ Who is it?" He smirked, wiggling his eyebrows. He paused to think as she flushed pink. "Is it Lucy?!" He gasped, sounding like a fangirl. "W-What?! O-Of course not!" She only continued to get redder. "My oh my~ I'll have to take a note of this one!" He teased her, still laughing. "Shut up! You've got better things to do!" She scolded him jokingly. "Oh yeah? Like what?" "How about proposing?" She smirked. And so, they began their grand master plan! It took several days to set up, but once it was ready, Ryomu was more excited than ever. He went to Sarah's room and knocked on the door. |

This time, he only got one horse. Sarah didn't really question it, she just hopped on the horse with him. They took a very specific back route, just to make sure Sarah didn't figure anything out too quickly. As time went on, it got darker and darker. The sun had just risen above the trees when suddenly, Ryomu stopped the horse. "We'll walk from here." He hopped off and tied the horse to a tree, waiting for Sarah to get off as well. |
