Ryomu had been attending meetings since dawn, discussing the invasion of the north and the protests in the east. He was absolutely exhausted, but quickly regained his motivation when he remembered his plan for tonight. There was a festival being held in one of the smaller towns near the western border of the kingdom; A summer solace of some kind. While he normally didn't enjoy warm weather, he was able to see past it tonight.
Once dusk fell, he changed into his usual escape outfit and hopped out the window. His room was pretty high up, but he caught himself on a large branch that'd grown there over the years. He 'borrowed' a horse from the stables and headed out, but not without a single guard who had discovered Ryomu's rebelliousness years ago. He'd agreed to keep quiet on the condition that he would allow the guard to escort him on his adventures, fearing something may happen to him while he was out.

Everyone in the small town was getting ready for the summer solace festival. Sarah headed into town on her horse, her 2 year old daughter sitting right in front of her. She entered the town and smiled softly at everything she saw.

Ryomu handed the lead to Josiah, his guard, so that he could take the horse and tie it up. Ryomu thought about waiting for him, but he decided to just head into the festival.
The town square was lit up with lanterns, and everything was painted in warm, bright colours. He smiled as he walked over to a vendor's stand. He ordered a few chicken skewers and settled down along the sidelines to eat. He couldn't see Josiah, but he wasn't worried.

Sarah got off her horse, keeping her daughter in one arm as she tied her horse up too the post. She walked into the town and smiled as she looked around. She always loved this time of year. He daughter giggled at all of the lights and laughter.

It wasn't long before music started up. Ryomu looked around, deciding whether or not he should join in on the dancing. He figured, 'Why not?', and walked into the crowd. People quickly paired off with one another, and he was about to go dance with a girl near him, but then he saw a woman on the sidelines. She was standing alone, and Ryomu couldn't tell if she was pissed, or just super focused. Still, she looked awkward, and maybe a little nervous.
He walked up to her and held out his hand. "Everyone's enjoying the festivites- You should come join us!" He gave her a warm smile, noticing how short she was in comparison to him.

"Oh no, I'm good. Thank you for the offer though." Her gaze flicked over to a group of kids together, her eyes locking on one of them. The kid she was looking at looked exactly like her.
