"Why'd you take so long? It was a tiny grove, walked around it." Nitidus said with a bored expression, not even acknowledging Foxtrot as she looked at Aspen. Griseo however, looked both disgusted and horrified, inching away as her eyes darted back and forth. "Did you find any useful information at least?" The blue wolf asked.

Aspen tilted her head.
"She.. Overreacted. We've- I mean, I from the first minute explored every corner of the grove and found nothing. Just.. I spotted these black eyes again."
Foxtrot shivered, as Aspen huffed at her. Her hazel eyes looked back at Nitidus and Griseo.
"Did you find anything, then?"

"No, we were waiting at least an hour for you." Nitidus said, though she was still only addressing Aspen. "What are those b;ack eyes you speak of? Did you ask the owner of those aforementioned eyes any questions? That would hav been useful." The blue wolf said, though she expected incompetence from everyone else. Although, Aspen hadn't seemed too useless so far, so maybe she was okay.

Aspen gave Foxtrot a quick, harsh hit, "awakening" her. She shook her ginger fur and opened her pale yellow eyes, looking up at the other female, quite ashamed. She stood up and licked her golden lunula in pride.
"The black eyes belong to the wolf with the deadly howl."
She immediately spoke, gazing at Aspen who silently listened.

"You already said that." Nitidus growled, frustrated. Her claws twitched, impatiently wanting to slice through the offending wolf's face. Nitidus restrained herself, sighing. "Unless anyone else has a better idea, I propose we continue exploring. There must be something else we can learn to escape." The blue wolf said, already starting to walk in a direction she hadn't explored yet.

Foxtrot turns away in frustration. Why nobody liked her? She wanted to tear apart all the icky three of them. Aspen padded forward first, pacing slower for the others to follow. Multiple skulls, seemed all fresh and the walk was interrupted by another howl. Tearing, piercing, how to explain it again? Foxtrot screamed.
"Don't listen!"
Aspen instantly threw herself under a tree, the ground sticking one ear and her own paw doing the second. The sound seemed to pass, as Aspen realized why did she do that.
"What's the matter?!"
Foxtrot shuffled her paws.

(Oof. I didn't mean to add "of that" in here.)

(Ohhhh, makes more sense now.)
Nitidus had covered her ears at the awful sound, her eyes darting to try to spot the fleeting shadow, but she saw none. The blue wolf got up, frustrated as usual. She was ahead of the other three wolves, but unlike Aspen, she didn't slow down for anyone. Nitidus continued walking at a brisk pace, her head flicking around, taking in every detail. Griseo whimpered, curled into a tight ball, she had listened to the howl for the longest before managing to cover her ears. The gray wolf was scratching at her ears as they rang painfully.

Aspen nudged Griseo.
"You okay?"
She now realized what Foxtrot meant, maybe it was better to not listen to the.. howl, said softly. More of an awful, sad and distorted sound. The ginger wolf, Foxtrot, came over with concern.
"I've told you all!"
Her golden eyes flashed at every part of Griseo, before she turned and followed Nitidus, relying on Aspen who could probably deal with it.
