((I kept bumping it so it wouldn't disappear))

Kalim gave himself a good shake, feeling relief with the muzzle now gone. He rubbed his snout of a brown forepaw, it really was gone after all this time… Not only that, but his cell wouldn't confide him anymore. "Ugh, it's finally off! I feel so free again, you don't know how bad it was." His voice was loud, not enough to cause harm like his ability but enough to be surprised by the volume.

In the light he could get a better look at his saviours. They looked more 'dog' than him. The glow coming from one of them did cause him some surprise. Was this something considered usual?

Bluebell's ears pinned back slightly at the sudden noise, but his tongue rolled out his mouth in a happy dog smile. "Happy to help!"

He looked over his shoulder where the stale dog food was. A group of released dogs had joined the others they had met, and were scarfing the food down as well. "We have food over there. I'm Bluebell, this glowing sheepdog is Firefly." Firefly sneezed in acknowledgment, tucking her little body under Bluebell's leg.

Perhaps it was getting close to time to move onward. Bluebell turned his head back to Kalim. "Go ahead and eat or do whatever you need to do. Do you know how to get out of here?"

Β  ((I have a plan for the next level up- as in, providing an enemy for them to avoid. But if you'd like to contribute anything to the structure of this underground lab, you are welcome to.))

The husky walked over to the dry food. Her once pure white fur was now matted and dirty. Every small noise Whisper heard made her flinch and cower. "Too much noise, too much noise." The female whimpered and backed away from the other dogs.

A faint ringing sound droned through Lurch's head as he slept. It was the only thing, aside from pacing back an forth, that he could do. The dog was utterly bored and frustrated with his situation. He ran over the events in his mind but couldn't quite discern when the handlers had stopped coming around. Each day they worked with him, perfecting his skill and adjusting his routine to focus on certain aspects of his physical strength and mental performance. Lurch adjusted his body, twitching an ear as he did so. Suddenly the sound became louder, more distinct this time, it was voices that he could hear. His head shot up, ears brushing the ceiling of the box, chocolate eyes scanning the dim room beyond his kennel. He bellowed a soft an low growl as he pushed himself to his feet.

Lurch stepped out of the dark box, entering the larger space that was the kennel. Sleek black coat glinting against the dying lights of the corridor, his skull swiveled back an forth as he attempted to locate the dogs belonging to the voices. Lurch had stayed in the facility so long because he simply felt no desire to leave before. But now, with the dilapidating facility around him and the sudden disappearance of the humans, he no longer felt that it was a worthy place for such a dog as him. He began clawing at the metal gate, gnawing at the weak spots and shoving against it with his weight. He made quite the racket as he worked on getting himself out. Surely now those free dogs would come investigate this noise?

(ooc - haven't roleplayed in forever so i'm pretty rusty x'D // @Heehoo - that's neat! I loved unus annus. it was such a good thing and i thought it so sad that it had to end.)

Whisper's ears perked up as she heard what sounded like something banging against metal. Getting up the female goes to investigate the noise, letting her sensitive ears guide her until she reaches the kennels. Her fur bright against the dull lighting; Whisper sniffs around and catches the scent of a dog. "H-hello? Is there anyone in here?" The female whines softly into the dark room.

After keeping his mouth shut for so long, Kalim had a lot he wanted to say, a lot of questions. Where were the humans? How did these dogs get out? Why was one of them glowing? He was more energised now that not much was holding him back. Those bland four walls of his cell had been broken down.

"I'm Kalim, your reason for naming is obvious." He said, pointing his nose to firefly. "I haven't been out in a long time so you can take a wild guess." The dirty blond male had a tendency to speak his mind, regardless if it sounded rude or not. He was blunt with no ill intentions.

It's been a while since I've checked on this and it's cool to see it active again! My pups are both still trapped in their cages, but I can give them a way out if needed))

Akio was sure she saw dogs out of their cages. She muttered to herself about how unfair it was that they found their escape before realizing there was a chance they could help her. She pushed herself up from laying on her side, struggling due to her hunger. As loud as she could, she let our hoarse barks, trying to get the attention of at least one of the freed dogs.

Beast laid silently in their cage. They hardly moved, not even their breath seemed to move their chest. They focused on keeping their body still to conserve enough energy for however long they'll be trapped. With their stillness, they slipped into a light sleep. Though it didn't last long as a bark from another cage startled them. They quickly sat up at the sound and looked out their window, trying to find the source. Though the view was small, they thought they spotted a few dogs outside of their cages. Seeing others could escape gave them the energy and determination needed to look for any possible escape.
