The small dog padded nervously and restlessly around her small cage. It had been days, weeks, maybe even years, since the humans had left. But the lack of company wasn't what worried the little dog. It was the ever-present pain of gnawing, ravenous hunger. She couldn't recall the last time she had eaten.

Her small ears stood alert upon hearing the snapping of metal. Gosia stuck her head in between the bars of her cage to take a look at what was going on. She scanned the room, her eyes falling on a slight glow from a Shetland Sheepdog. It was a peculiar sight, but then again, what at PUP Labs wasn't? Gosia took in the sight of the small glowing dog, before remembering that metal had crashed somewhere.

She redirected her attention to a Dalmatian mix, who had been ripping at the wall. She watched him determinedly tear off pieces of his cage. Gosia wasn't certain whether he was brave or foolish to take on the facilities walls, but she knew it was more foolish to just sit in her cage and look pretty when the humans would not be coming back.

The small Pomeranian tried to ram into one of the steel bars, before recoiling from the force of it. She let out a yelp- more of shock rather than pain- as she saw the bars unscathed. She let out a sigh. If only she had a more useful modification for a situation like this. Gosia trotted to the back of her cage, head low, as she rested to think of another plan. She curled into a small ball, trying to relax, but she still listened to the dog tearing at his cage.

((OOC: Thank you! I wasn't planing to make more characters as of currently, but I just wanted to know for future reference. ^-^))

Name: Zanadana
Dog Breed: Mutt, mix of Alaskan Malamute 50%, Norwegian Elkhound 45% and Belgian Malinois 5%
Gender: Female
Age: 2 years
Appearance: Bulky, large and very fluffy, curled tail and tall ears. (if design is too absurd will add she was genetically modified coat wise, if allowed lol)
Click for ref
Modification: Human shield. Her body can take up to 4 shots or stabs from any kind of gun/knife and not do any harm to her. However, if shot/stabbed a 5th time, it'd wound her like normal, a side affect is she's slightly fire proof also but to a low degree, cannot run into a flaming house and be unharmed. Can use her body to put out small fires that are only created naturally (like a lighting strike on a tree) not any kind of accelerant or human made fire.
Other: One scar down her left side, received from a 5th stab when being tested of her modifications limits.
History: She was born in the P.U.P labs, wasn't wise to the wild, the free. Her crate was half thick cement the other half steel bars, the cement side showed chips and cracks. -Will add more to this if accepted.-

((Great!! Added you in o7 is that a previous OC? She fits, I'm curious if you changed anything about her for the rp :0

Oh- and I wanted to start with a kennel-type situation, but if some of your kennels have electronic locks or something for whatever reason, they can be free to start with and you don't need Bluebell to break you out!))

Bluebell took a deep bite, grabbing the bottom of the whole he made and tearing down and back. The metal squealed horribly. His ears sat flat against as he stepped back, pulling the wall with him. The metal tore into a ragged panel, curling and dangerous into Bluebell's pen space. He stepped on the metal to hold it down, then leapt through his newly created door.

The metal sprung back slightly when he jumped. His nails clattered on the hard flooring and his hips fell to one side. He looked back. His body didn't quite make it through unscathed, but he'd be fine. There was a thin, dark line of a scratch going across his upper left shoulder. He lapped his tongue and cleaned the metallic taste off of his fur until it was clear it wasn't a bad wound. A small price to pay for freedom. Bluebell stood up and slunk through the spot his cage and the glowing dog's cage made before the main walkway.

"Are you leaving us behind?" Bluebell turned his head downwards to hear a small voice. The Shetland sheepdog was still lying down even in the general chaos of the room. Her voice was meek, and her carefully tended fur was beginning to grow out and tangle.

"I'm not sure where I'd go right now, miss. I can't see very far without your help." Bluebell watched the small glowing dog and then turned his eyes towards her door, which was clearly illuminated by her emitted light. He looked at her once more, then opened his mouth wide. His upper canines rested on the top of the metal latch, and the bottom canines just below it. With a quick snap of his mouth, the latch was no more. This was the kind of cage he could break out of as a puppy.

"-oh!" Firefly blinked in surprise as the door swung open on its own. She lifted her legs, weak from lack of exercise, and carefully pushed herself out onto the main floor with Bluebell.

I've been looking at this for a while and finally made two dogs. The powers may seem much but I tried my best to even them out. If the powers are still too much, I'll definitely change it

Name: Beast
Dog Breed: German Shepherd
Gender: Non-binary (They/Them)
Age: 2
Personality: Skittish and quiet, Beast prefers to keep to themself and rarely uses their mutation
Appearance: The average "police dog" look with sharper fangs
Modification: "Werewolf" Them and their littermates were modified to be guard dogs, military dogs, and large game hunters. With every mutation done on their littermates being a failure, the scientists tried making a dog that had the skills they wanted only some of the time. Thus, "Werewolf" was made. Beast can become bigger, stronger and faster for a period of time, though they lose control of their body.
Cage: Their cage is concrete. Small reinforced glass windows let them see out but the windows are too small for them to fit through
Other: They don't know they can harm non enemies while using their mutation

Name: Akio
Nickname: Mother Nature
Dog Breed: Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix
Gender: Female (She/Her)
Age: 1 1/2
Personality: Feisty and irrational, Akio enjoys others and hates being told what to do
Appearance: https://images.app.goo.gl/NcK5GEgKJy3MbBDW6 with vines covering her body. The vines are cosmetic but can move some
Modification: "Plant Talking" Tired of weeds in your yard? No luck with growing flowers? Get your local plant dog today! Akio's powers let her take control of plants and do whatever she wants with them. If the plant thrives in the sun, her power only works on it during the day.Β  Same goes for plants that thrive under the moon. She can only control plants to a certain range
Cage: Her cage is made up of metal bars and a single plant that she can't use to escape.
Other: She's been using the plant to try and tell how the time has been moving. She eats mainly plants so her feeder is different

Having drifted off to sleep, Gosia awoke to realize that she had been resting the entire time. She yawned and stretched, but it wasn't long before her hunger came back to haunt her. The Pomeranian sighed as her stomach grumbled yet again.

She glanced around her kennel, looking for any way out besides the door. She spotted a bar that was loose in the corner of her cage. Being a small dog, her excitement grew. If she could free the bar, she could likely squeeze out.

Backing up to the opposite corner, Gosia charged at the bar. It fell free with a loud 'Clang!' before Gosia stumbled back from the impact. Hope surged through the Pomeranian as she squeezed through the bars, claiming her freedom. She let out a cry of joy as she danced around in the dark, elated at her escape.

Her joy was short lived as hunger gnawed at her once again. Gosia lifted her nose to smell for any food the humans may have left behind. Catching a whiff of what was likely some old, stale kibble, her stomach grumbled it's approval. Gosia was thankful for a Canine's natural sense of night vision as she walked among the dark corridors, making her way about as she followed the scent.

((Kalim is gonna have to have a soundproof cell, also I'm glad that you're going to try and keep this a small group because big ones are hard to keep up with.

The cell-room was bland and dark, staying inside for too long could drive any being a little coo-coo. This room had been designed to be sound proof, in case the wolf-dog locked inside was to get temperamental and start letting out some glass shattering barks. His volume could be so loud that it'd accidentally ruptured some of the human eardrums that'd been around him. The humans had put something over his mouth, a muzzle, that kept his jaw shut. His barks were small squeaks in the back of his throat. Kalim wasn't aware of his strength, whether it was his additional height or how noisy he could be.

His food had to be liquified, but his breakfast hadn't come that morning. Where were the humans? They hadn't come to check on him in awhile, maybe he'd scared them off? He wasn't a bad canine, just didn't know when to keep his mouth shut.

He looked to the small window on the door that kept him in the room. No figure past and it was dark outside too. Dark paws padded over to the door, sniffing the surface and giving it a few experimental scratches.

Akio lapped at her feeder, trying to coax more food out of it. After tries with no avail, she trotted to the plant in her cage. She bit a small peice off it, unwilling to eat her plant but still hungry.

At the sounds off metal breaking she trotted around her cage. She tried to get a good look at where it came from. Frustrated that she couldn't see the cause of the sound, she barked loudly a couple times.

Beast sat up and looked around their concrete cage. They crept over to their feeder, waiting for another piece of meat to fall. After what felt like hours of waiting, they stood up. They crept along the walls of their cage, looking out the windows. In one window they spotted a hole starting to show in a cage wall and heard the ear splitting sound of metal breaking. They watched the hole open and a dalmatian escape the cage. Inspired by this act, Beast began clawing at their windows to escape.

((Is there any minimum on how many sentences/paragraphs per post?))

((Thank you! Ahh excited for this! Oh yep she is a previous OC that's dear to me, I changed her up a little for this RP. ^^ Also glad it's going to be a small group too much easier to keep track!))

Zanadana - P.U.P Laboratory

Curled into a circle, the large malamute mix awoke to all the sudden sounds, she'd been sleeping her long fluffy tail covering her eyes until now.

She blinked, hadn't noticed the facility had gone dark, or maybe she had and forgot? Squinting to try and adjust herself to the darkness.

Finally she could see, somewhat anyway, she stood with a huff shaking her fur.

Walking to the metal bar section of her crate, ears twitching at the sounds, trying to focus on what was said, were the humans back? She didn't know but it felt like they'd been gone for so long.

Glancing at her empty food dispenser, she frowned; they mustn't be back.

Pawing at the door, she wasn't expecting anything to happen, but it moved slightly, her crate had an electric lock, it'd unlatched the moment the power went out, but she'd not bothered to touched it or try anything until now.

Waking out of her crate, only a few paw-steps, she was hesitant to go further, looking around.

'What was going on?' A thought that crossed her mind a lot, she caught the scent of others, perhaps they'd have answers?

Taking a deep breath she began to search for someone anyone.

((There is no maximum or minimum! I prefer that you write more than two sentences, but honestly once all the characters meet up there will need to be back and forth for their talking / coordination, so that's fine if we really shrink up then!

I'm going to try and describe the room a bit better here- should I make a quick map??))

Bluebell looked around. The smell and sounds of the other dogs was absolutely overwhelming. He wasn't sure where he should even go next, since he couldn't see out of his kennel anyway. His nose turned down to the glowing Shetland sheepdog again. She looked even more nervous.

"What's your name, miss? What should we do?" Bluebell tried to make his voice louder than the barking of the dogs. He would be no match if they weren't right next to one another.

She jumped and looked up at him, her ears pinned back. "They called me Firefly… and I'm not sure." Her direction changed to face the upper left portion of the large room. "In the top right corner there is a door. That's where the humans in lab coats would enter in the morning and leave in the evening. I think there are stairs past that. But!" Firefly looked at the lower left portion of the room, "I think they had storage back there, so there might be food left… I'm not sure, though."

Bluebell nodded, thoughtfully. "Ok… maybe food first. I'm Bluebell. The people made me to help others. They tested my teeth."

"I kinda caught onto that." She looked at the cages around them of barking dogs. While she was small, Firefly was also a younger adult than him. Bluebell wondered if she had been alive when the lab used to keep multiple dogs together. That was before an incident, a dog fight of bloodier performance than a normal dog could achieve. He decided not to bring it up.

"We should break everyone else out too, right?"

Firefly paused, "I'm not sure if everything one is… safe to be let out."

Bluebell cocked his head but his stomach rumbled too much to inquire further. It might be better to assess the situation a bit more. The two dogs turned toward the storage space in the back of the large room, their senses aware of every other dog around them.
