Either Fix Levelup RNG Or: The Stat Ceiling Is Too Low

Support. The stat system feels arbitrary and punishing in just about all situations where it matters. Anything to improve on that would be great. Right now stats feel like numbers for the sake of numbers with little to no ability to improve them to reach goals.

Please tell me how this is "working as intended" when TWO of my hunters JUST TODAY didn't get a SINGLE stat point relevant to their role.

Just really frustrated right now.

I'm not even a hardcore stat breeder, yet I've found myself frustrated with the Finisher stat allocation. And now wonder if any stat breeding I've been working towards will give much reward.

To me, not being able to find Large trails in extreme biomes before stat plateau is worrying.

I wish there was more transparency about what's going on in the backend calculations.

I got the strangest level up for my scout Kadali a couple days ago, she (like her dad and his dad and his dad etc.) has strength as her highest stat with smarts as second highest.

Leveled up Kadali (#4791509) from 8 to 9. Gained +1 Max HP, +8 wisdom, +3 agility, +5 smarts, +2 speed. HP was fully refilled.

Wisdom was, and still is, her lowest stat (currently tied with speed for lowest). Not a single point of strength this time around. Wild. Thankfully her other level ups have been... okay, I guess. Smarts, as the second highest stat, has absolutely been getting the better boosts, but there's been at least a +2 strength with every level up, which... man that really doesn't sound that impressive now does it

not even a stat breeder, but support on the notion that hunting comfortably in glacier/rainforest are intended gameplay mechanics, and thus should be attainable in this game. as it stands right now, having read through these replies, it doesn't appear to be something even the most dedicated players can accomplish.
