fellow anxiety havers, what obscure things do you dislike?

public transport as well stairs as well eye contact (i have autism) dirty floor (messy desk is fine but i hate a dirty floor) finally if people stand too close. it's also like noticeably uncomfortably close-- if i shift an inch and i'm touching you, unless it's an emergency or the situation calls for it, you're standing too close and it will make me SO uncomfortable |

also same on being the first to anything. i hate doing that. i will not do that. being around people who are my superior makes me tense, too. like a professor or something, for example. also had a bad experience at the doctor this past week so now i hate doctors too. |

New technology that changes people's behavior. No I will not talk to a machine as if it's a person. Still haven't trained myself to recognize that people just sitting their with their hands down could have something in their ear and be in a conversation. Went up to a guy the other day after a car crash to ask if he needed help. He turned around with his arms folded and was like, "No, I'm talking to 911 right now." I feel old. |

Also sensory things because of my autism include anywhere I can't VERY clearly hear another person's voice. As well as classic things like eye contact and clothes that feel too... cumbersome? Like if they affect my movement range like a heavy coat I need to get it off indoors. Oh yes, also loud sudden noises. While I imagine most people would quickly get over them, I'm upset about it for at least 10 minutes after. Like, visibly I might be panting. Other than anxiety, they also bring me unusual amounts of anger. |

• Uncovered windows or thin curtains, specifically at night. • Walking down a dark hallway or basement stairs prompts the 'oh my god you're going to be attacked' twinge for some reason. • Birdsong at night. What are you doing?? Go to bed. • Silence in general, I get wildly uncomfortable when all of the various house and neighborhood noises decide to stop at once and it's just me and my dumb lizard brain. • The 'I am going to puke on your shoes' cat yowl specifically, though is that anxiety? :p |
