@Lionel, Wolves will lose 1% proficiency at their jobs at rollover. This will only happen to pupsitters if they are not watching a pup. So yes, her proficiency will start to drop once those puppies age up, unless you give her new pups to watch.

Breeding males are a tricky business - are you more interested in getting a profit off them, or in getting pretty pups? If you want them to mostly help you get pups you like, pick the one you like more. If you want to make a profit, look around at studs and see what is rare/popular - but even then the market can change quick, so you can never be sure what's going to be wanted.

@Yami Very handsome pup!

@HollowWorld Thanks for the info! Regarding my goals, that's a good question... My end goal is pretty pups for myself, but having profits would help me get there. I'll take your advice and look around some before making any decision.

@Lionel Hi! Yes, proficiencies decay. Pupsitter proficiency decays 1% every rollover that they're not protecting puppies. As for the question about the breeding male, I would personally go for the one with more markings since they're close in stats. A tier II base is good, but you can always change the wolf's base later.

@Hartley I didn't know you could change bases! How do you do that?

@Lionel, you can buy a base changer in the Grove for 10GC. That's how my stud got his Tier II base. If you go that route, look up what bases are available in the base changer first, so you don't make plans for a base you can't get!

Quick question! When doing quests for the quest snake that involve him asking for items do the items disappear from your inventory when you find them? Like does he take them or does he just check and pay you? He's asking for food right now but I don't have a ton of food so I'm thinking about waiting for a different quest.

You turn them in to the snake, so you will no longer have them. But! The items only need one use to count, so you can feed your wolves all but one use of the food item he's asking for, and then turn it in.

I have two male pups that I want to make into a stud when they grow up but I’m not sure which would make the better stud of the two?

@Synddrrin Of the two with "stud" in their footnote, neither really stands out. If you're set on using one of the two, I'd go for this pup because he has 7 markings and slightly higher stats. However, I recommend breeding for a pup with higher (400+) stats, or a pup with a tier II base and 7+ markings. Ideally you should also try for some combo color or breeding deviation shape markings as well.

@Hartley aww darn :( would it be better for now to have one as a breeding male instead? Particularly the one you pointed out? I was debating between him and the other.

 I do have two male pups with tier II bases but with eh amount of markings. Would it be better to just sell them?
