Note: bg images are very tricky on Wolvden and will require troubleshooting/correcting after every single edit.
My advice is to keep a copy of the working code saved on your device. Make sure you save the code from the post after each edit, and then when you need to edit the code again: access the save code, copy it into the code view (replacing previous code), save after edits are made, repeat.
