i have two ideas. 1. a way to recycle or improve basic NBWs if they were chased. if it's a nbw with extremely basic markings - i think it would be worth it to give an NBW something that improves it before putting it back out in the wild. this could be through an additional marking, changed base, changed eye color, etc, or an item/currency awarded to the player upon befriending. 2. a way to remove basic NBWs from the game entirely after they are first befriended. i think it would be great to give the player a way to remove them from their den without having to clog up the chased wolf pool with less valuable finds. the first thing that comes to mind is a function like flight rising's exalt system, where you can send them somewhere (maybe to work with tala, or something?) in exchange for something like currency or items (food? herbs?). this would give people more incentive to befriend wolves. as it stands, i run from any encounter that isn't a chased nbw. |

Or instead of contest, their could be tiers in which you must reach to get a gift. The wolves wouldn't have to be turned in all at the same time; there could be a bar to see how many you've sent away so far. For example: release 25 wolves for small random carcass release 50 wolves for some SC release 75 wolves for some kind of random item? release 100 wolves for 1 of 5? 10? exclusive decors you can only get through this way Then after 100 wolves the bar could reset for players to start over with the rewards again. There could be a button beside the "Chase Away" button in the wolf's settings that says "Set Free" or "Release". If you choose to set a wolf free/release, that wolf does not go into the chased pool to possibly return again. For flavor text it could say something like, "Set wolf free to roam the Dreamlands for eternity." Would definitely require some coding and artwork if idea was implemented. |

This would also affect custom (not customized!) wolves but I think it's worth it given how often regular NBWs are chased in comparison to how likely custom wolves are to be chased. |
