I'd mostly use it for studs (currently, if you want to advertise your stud as a NBW or a G2, for example, you need to write it in their name, which is ugly). It seems like a very cost-effective way to implement the "heritageless search" suggestion, and it would also remove the need to add another search option for when the player base decides that, say, wolves with matching skin/nose/claws, or highly specialized wolves, or wolves where all markings are of the same color, are way more valuable and people want to search for those specifically: they'd write it in the footnote / use that tag instead of adding it to the name, and it would become easily searchable. Currently there is no footnote for leads, so they would need to be added (if we use footnotes). Ideally, it should be possible to search word1 AND word2, and also word1 OR word2, and it should be clear which it is. Players would be free to either use existing tags or create new ones, and the, say, 10 or 20 most popular ones would be immediately visible in the tag choice dropdown (with a "see more?" button to access the others), or they'd be sorted by number of uses. That way, people would naturally tend to use the most popular word for a specific concept (like NBW, heritageless, and G1, that mean the same thing).
