how to get puppies with better stats than the parents? (answered)

Hello, i saw there is a guide to help in breeding for stats but then i saw there is a cap for wolves with high stats and i really don't understand it
if i want to get a puppy with better stats than the parents, let's say, if i have a wolf born with 500 stats or if my wolf at lvl 20 gets up to 1,000 stats, maybe their partner can also get up to 1,000 stats
how do i get a puppy with stats higher than that, like 1,001 at least?
i'm leveling up all my wolves but i fear if that is instead a problem to get heirs with better stats for all of them

Before I get into the way-detailed maximum-grind numbers below, if you're stat breeding casually just make sure to breed wolves when they have higher stats than their parents did. So long as their combined stats are higher than their parents', their pup's stats will be higher than theirs were at birth.

Two wolves will never produce pups with more stats than they currently have - if trained, though, they will produce pups with higher starting stats. A pack member can gain roughly 800 stats in their lifetime - 200 beginning stat wolves can reach 1,000, and then have 500 stat pups which can hit 1,300.

Pups receive a % of their parents' stats - that's where the cap comes in. Eventually the difference between a pup's stats and it's parent's stats becomes more than 800, and suddenly there is no chance for the pup to beat it's parent.

This is, however, a distant problem - the only wolves that have hit the cap are leaderboard leads, as 1500/1500 litters pop out ~650 stat pups. If you're working from NBWs and gaining as many stats as possible, you probably have 3-4 full generations before you have any chance of hitting the cap.

4 full generations of wolves is roughly 2 rl years, by that point in time devs will have probably added more ways to gain stats, increasing the cap. For example, since the pup/Adol training update the maximum lifetime stat gain has increased by almost 90.

(This is all thrown out the window for lead wolves, thus why lead leaderboard wolves have already broken 1,500 less than a year into the game - regular pack members gain a maximum of +2 'bonus' task stats per RO, leads can gain an unlimited amount.)

Thank you very much, i haven't breed my wolves before except for the quest, i bought more wolves born with +500 stats to fill the jobs and i was worried for them as i'm waiting until they are old to breed them and bring the next generation, still nothing to worry about then, i'll just keep with the job.
