Level Up Allocation Item

Level Up Allocation Item

This item would be given to a wolf before they level up. Once the wolf levels up, you would be able to distribute the level up stats to the stats of your choosing. The reason of this suggestion is that during the early levels and later levels stat distribution from leveling up is more random than helpful. When trying to get a wolf to fit into a role and a random stat gaining more and surpassing a needed stat , it throws the wolf into being less useful than before.

An example:

An NBW is being trained as a chaser. By the 3rd level up, its strength at 40, agility is at 42, and speed is at 48. On the 4th level up, agility gains +1, strength gains +5, speed gains +1, and wisdom gains +1. The wolf's strength is now 45, agility 43, and speed is 49. The wolf now has more strength than agility after the level up.

Another example:

A wolf is about to hit level 20, 40 stats are about to be given to your wolf. This wolf has been a finisher its whole life and you are excited for a bunch of points going to that stat. When the wolf level ups, it gains +16 to wisdom (the second highest stat), +9 to strength, and the rest go to other stats. That big boost went to another stat other than one you needed.

This is why an item that could be used to personally choose where stats go would be a great item. The item being in the Grove would probably be a good option.

Support. Even being able to choose the 'weighting', i.e. which stats should be prioritised by the algorithm, would be incredibly helpful. If it was a grove item that cost GC it wouldn't be too overpowered either, or perhaps a raccoon item that cost 500sc or more.

Support because then we could avoid issues like THIS happening:

Or this:

Or this too:

I disagree with making it a grove-item since that only adds to the p2w aspect - but I think a way to affect prioritized stats would be much appreciated!

Support!

Although, I'd rather it be a Crafting item, than a Grove one, to avoid the p2w aspect. Making it a crafting item still means you'd have to work for it to get the needed items, and even find the recipe beforehand!

Support! I agree that this is a great idea! I don't know if it's a better idea for it to be a grove or crafting item, though. I agree that pay-to-win is a thing to be avoided, though. I personally think WD does a good job of avoiding P2W on the whole, and I don't want that to change.

I support this.

Personally I believe that its better as a 2-5GC grove item than a craft item as a craft item could actually come out to cost even more GC than a grove item and here is why:

1) Craft items you need to go out and find the recipe, which is hard and you know people are not going to sell it cheap
2) the items are going to be expensive to buy and harder to come by
3) we have greedy players which will sell these items and recipes for upwards of 10GC.
4) a grove item gives a cap for how much these items can sell for and some people may even resell it for SC cheap.

I understand some people don't want the item in the Grove for the reason of "pay to win". But if it was a craftable item, the ingredients for it would be eventually near impossible to get from the market, and it would still cost gc because people would sell ingredients for that (or large amounts of sc). So if it was a set price in the Grove, there wouldn't be price influctuations that would happen in the market making the item hard to get.

No support because if this item existed, to optimize a hunter you'd have to buy one for every single level. Just to level an entire hunting team would take 95 of these items (5 wolves, 19 level ups each) which would be incredibly expensive.

(I would absolutely buy 95 of these if they existed because I don't want my hunting teams to fall behind the stat curve. But I would not be happy about it.)

It is not true to having to buy one every level. Also it would be a personal option to buy for all levels or a few. No one would be forcing you to buy the item.
