 —-Common Wolf Descriptors—-

NBW = New Befriended Wolf, i.e., a wolf found in explore

Chased = a wolf that has been chased from another player’s den and found as an NBW

Adol = A wolf in its adolescent stage

Gen 2, 3, etc. = refers to the length of the wolf's ancestry. For instance, a new befriended wolf is Gen 1. A wolf with NBW parents is Gen 2.

Synonym: G2, G3, etc.

IB/dirty = inbred, i.e., the wolf's parents are related OR one of the wolf's ancestors has parents who are related

NIB/clean = not inbred

DIB = distantly inbred, i.e., the wolf is inbred but the inbreeding is far back on the family tree

T1, T2, T3 (or TI, TII, TIII) = the rarity tier of the wolf's base color. Tier 1 is the most common; Tier 2 is uncommon; Tier 3 is rare. Special wolves have limited-edition bases from events and are outside the regular tier system. You can find a wolf's tier in their profile under Base Genetics; for instance, "Cool Light I" is Tier 1.

3M, 4M, etc. = the number of markings a wolf has. A 3M wolf has three markings.

synonym: 3m, 4m, etc.  (capitalization does not matter)

het = heterochromia. For instance, a "het w/b" wolf has one white eye and one black eye.

b&b - Het brown and blue

b&w - Het black and white

mutie = a wolf with a mutation (e.g. albinism, melanism, or brachycephaly)

carrier = a wolf who does not have a visible mutation, but "carries" the gene for the mutation and can have mutated pups if bred to another carrier or a wolf with that mutation

Mel - melanism

alb - albino 

Pug/brachy - referring to the brachycephaly mutation

VLF - Very Low Fertility

LF - Depending on context can be “Looking For” or “Low Fertility” 

Tam/Tam Unders - Tamaskan unders, an exclusive marking

Inuit - Inuit unders, an exclusive marking

Lvl - level

Serp - A wolf with the serpentine base

Iri - A wolf with the iridium base 

Neph - A wolf with the nepheline base 

BO - Breed Only

Mono - A wolf with a monochrome base



—-Gameplay—-

DNC - Do Not Chase 

RC/RNC - Raise and Chase, where people raise pups to adulthood to then chase for other players to find

RO - Rollover. Referring to when the site resets at 12:00AM WD time

CD/Cooldown - The time it takes before you can do something again. Ex: time until a claimed NBW can be traded, sold, gifted, chased, etc. Depending on context, CD may also refer to “custom decor”

Refunded - To avoid the word “free” the word refunded is used. Typically to refer to an exchange where part or all of something is given back to the player

CF - Coniferous Forest

RF - Rainforest

RW - Riperian Woodland 

IBF/IPD - instant birth feather, referring to instant pup delivery

FAPA - Feed All Play All

RMA - random marking applicator

GC - gold cones

SC - silver cones

LT - Lunar Tears

LE - Lunar Essence

LB - leaderboard

Terms often seen in wolf sales and stud ads:

NBW = New Befriended Wolf, i.e., a wolf found in explore

IBF/IPD too, referring to Instant Birth Feather or Instant Pup Delivery (which is the item's actual name)

and I think Chased should maybe clarify that it means a wolf chased from someone's den, that has then been found as an NBW.

I love this and will be bookmarking ^^

This is great! Some potential additions:

For "Gen 2, 3, etc." I've also seen it written as G2, G3, etc.

Also, for "3M, 4M, etc." I've seen 3m, 4m, etc. I know it's just lowercase and still an M, but I had a pause when I was new and wondered if lowercase and uppercase M meant something different.
