The wolf search is really well done and with lots of options, I was floored when I first saw it (congrats!). But with the low-stats or stat-oriented projects, I got to thinking that maybe the optimal wolf wasn't the 1200 stats one, but the 400s one that has 300 strength and peanuts for the rest. So I wondered if someone had done this before (pretty sure I recall seeing this for strength, but what about for other stats?). And I couldn't search for "minimum 100 str, maximum 50 agi, wis, etc." or "minimum 100 str, maximum 300 total". I think it might be interesting to be able to search for it, for specialized lines, and easy enough to implement: adding a few lines for the stats part (the same way there are several lines for markings), so some can show the maximum value wished for and some can show the minimum one. It could also be used to search for stats in a range (for example, a wolf with a wisdom higher than 100 but lower than 200). Anyway, great job on the wolf search, it's already very impressive and hugely useful! |

(About stat inheritance though: Based on this topic, it's my understanding that each stat is calculated independently of the others, so having generally higher stats doesn't reduce the proportion of "important" stats that are passed on to pups. Unless that's outdated? Looks like it was last updated in March.) |
