hi there. i'm very, very stuck and i was wondering if anyone could give me any advice? i'm struggling to keep wolves in my pack because i have virtually no food or amusement items. pretty much all my wolves are hunters, but they can't catch anything besides about one critter a hunt, which can't feed my whole pack. and i don't have many SC, only like 292, so i cant afford food or toys. any advice is very, very welcome im in quite the pickle lol |

Hi! First of all, check out some threads that help players with starving packs like these: Hollow Valley Hospital, Tree's Hospital (These are just the first two I found). |

I think I can help! I have 2 hunting packs which are each pretty successful; 100% chance for catching large prey most of the time. Now to get more specific, when you start a new wolf in a certain role obviously they won't be the best at it. Stats do play a bigger role in how well each induvial wolf will do, but I'm not too knowledgeable on that. If your stalking wolf has low experience, then you'll struggle finding larger prey (or if you're in a more difficult biome). If your hunters have low experience, they're more likely to loose the prey's scent, and if your finisher has low experience, they're more likely to let the prey get away. The only way to fix this is to send your wolves on as many hunts as possible so they gain experience. For amusement items, I suggest exploring in the Glacier biome if you can! Whale bones are one of the best amusement items. They have 8 uses and are pretty simple to get after unlocking Glacier. Many explore options will give you a whale bone (like following the polar bear cubs and foraging in the walrus herd). If you have not unlocked the Glacier, I would suggest exploring in other areas. Sending out your scouts as much as possible is good aswell. They'll most likely bring back some amusement items. Lastly, try to keep your wolf pack as small as you can. I know the whole point of Wolvden is to have cool wolves, but with how expensive territory slots are, imo it's just not worth trying to have tons of wolves. |
