Dogs can be black for two different reasons- dominant (K on the K locus), or recessive (a on the agouti locus). Recessive black is rare and mostly seen in herding breeds like the German Shepherd.

Bees have a natural sense of time, and can even get jetlag (You've gotta wonder how they got the bees in a plane to figure that out though)

Cats and dogs metabolize medications differently. Dog medicines like flea treatments and Rovera (a pain treatment) can be deadly to cats.
