ROYAL X ASSASSIN ROMANCE RP

Jewel was in the Book store finishing up her shift . she had worked long hours that day to the point of breaking herself. but she never gave up. Her mother wanted what was only best for her daughter, who was in fact a Royal. 

" Time flew so fast these last few years, Mom " Jewel said as she was finishing up with her last customer " I wonder what my life will be like when it comes not being a Royal. I want to be free and do other things, have a relationship start a family.. but you already knew that" she said with a chuckle 

the customer finally left a while later and Jewel and her mother closed the shop for the afternoon. They headed back to the Palace. But that was passing the place where the assassin worked, and Jewel didn't want to be seen, but she had no other choice but to walk right past the window and hope to not be seen.

Belladonna searched around her office shelves, pulling out a section of the bookshelf, which hid a poison compartment behind it. It was originally intended by the owner to keep the potent poisons out of a thief's reach. But ever since her and her family brought the clinic, they used this compartment to study the poisons, even administer them. It was questionable at best.

Searching through the jars, bottles, glasses, she finally found it. Thallium, colorless and tasteless. Vomiting, fur loss, among the effects. She poured over the plan in her head again. She noticed someone pass the office window, recognizing Jewel, her target. She pretended that the compartment was full of rare medicines and not poisons while she passed.

Jewel looked at her and gave a snarling look before stopping and looked at her mother " Come on mother.. I dont think we need to go in there. Someone wants to kill me as it is."

She took her mothers arm in hers and swiftly walked off towards the Palace a hour away. " No one is going to kill you Jewel" her mother said as they walked along a path they always took from the town 

" Come on mother.. didn't you see her face? I know that face, anywhere I go and it scares me. She will kill me if I don't stop her."

Then the conversation stopped for they arrived and walked into the Palace. Jewel had a plan to get that other female to show herself, She just hoped it would work.

Her family had started the questionable poison studying when her great grandfather was executed for a crime he didn't commit. From that day on the family goal was to get revenge. The rulers that killed him are dead, so her family chose the next best thing. This plan and her task is the culmination of years of studying, even if this did succeed, could she live with the guilt? That was one question she didn't have the answer to. What would they even do after this? 

She packed her supplies into a small pouch, she didn't need to take much anyway. She met up with her mother, Holly, on her way out the door. She gave her a good luck charm, a rabbit's foot, and just like that Belladonna was on her way to the palace. If she gets caught, she will surely be executed, and unlike her Great Grandfather, she will have actually committed a crime.

Jewel was walking through the florest when she heared a twig  break. But she stayed quiet and hid behind a bush. Bow and arrows ready. Her breath slow and steady. 

She then left her hiding place and faced the intruder " You! You're the one from that shop, aren't you? " She said pointing the arrow at her " tell me who you are or ill shoot. I've got good aim." She pointed it to her heart and pulled back but held it steady " I said who are are you and what is your business

(she wont kill her i promise. she's just getting her to get riled up a bit)

Belladonna froze, trying her best not to look as scared as she actually was. She had to think of something fast, then she remembered her job as a doctor/herbalist. "Oh, I was just foraging and caught your scent." It was semi-true, she had been in this forest before to go foraging, not all of her life was focused on poisons. "Nothing seems to be here, must have been picked clean or maybe I'm just unlucky today." She sniffed at the ground, feigning looking for the scent of an herb or critter.

She turned to go in the opposite direction but hadn't made the move to leave yet. "I best get going if I want to find something."

" whatever you are looking for, you wont find in these parts" Jewel said following her slowly " I suggest you leave this part now" she said putting her bow and arrow to the side " try the next village over" She then walked off to patrol some more. 

After an hour she finally came back to the palace again and headed inside " that was close. I did say what was true. " She told her mother what happened and she was happy she did what she did.

She waited around for a good few minutes before heading towards the palace again. Before she knew it she was at the palace gates, wow this place is much bigger than she thought. She scoped around, taking advantage of her dark fur to hide, looking for points of entry, before she knew it she was inside. She looked at the walls and sheer size of the interior of amazement, it felt like she had stepped inside a painting. She made sure to avoid anyone in the halls, she looked for anything to alter or hide her appearance, so if she encountered Jewel again she couldn't be easily recognized, that would be suspicious.

Now, she had a place to be, but she didn't even know where that was. Nobody in her family could get information on the layout of the palace. This was going to be a difficult task on its own.

" Mother come on.. its not safe here any more.. we have to move shes inside looking for me and you" She said taking her mother by the arm and practically dragging her out of the study and through the hall..They didnt see her along the way, so they quietly left through a side door and escaped. Running as fast as they could to safety once more.

She was still searching, she didn't know where she would put this poison. But even after she had made loops around the castle's hall, she couldn't find where she was looking for, not even the royals were there. Strange. She went back over her tracks, spotting the Quarters. Cautiously, she herded the courage to peek through the doors, but nobody was there. 

With her anxiety mounting, she quietly opened the door further, nothing. She could have sworn they would be in here, why wouldn't they? Cautiously entering, she looked for any liquid to dissolve the poison into. It was colorless, tasteless, and odorless, so it wouldn't matter where. She finally found something, a leftover drink she presumed, and did what she needed to do. Her family would kill her if she didn't do anything, so this was the best she could do.

She quickly left, not knowing the black rabbit's food had dropped from her neck. She hurried back to the office and her clinic, greeted by a good majority of her family.
