Best ways to get Lunar Tears?

I've noticed some interactions seem to consistently give 2 tears more often than one (but at the moment I can't remember which). I haven't been fighting many creatures yet so I don't know if those drop tears more consistently than just walking around either. If anyone wants to share findings on what gets the best results, feel free to add your two cents here!

You’re guaranteed to get 1 lunar tear from any enemy you fight, even if it’s a level 20 wolf vs a level 5 enemy. I’ve found that higher level enemies get you 2 tears when beaten, idk if that’s because my lead is level 17 and they’re close to her level or if it’s just being higher level in general. 

If you have the healing salves to spare I’d say just, fight everything, and if you don’t fight more higher level enemies

I got 2 tears a few times from higher level enemies -levels 18-20 for me since my lead is level 20. Seemed to be only 1 for the others. I was skipping by the fights at first until I saw they said you could earn LT from them also. Other than the really high level enemies I got 1 for everything else. 

I can add in after a few fights of different levels, I got 2 LT from some 17+ enemies but the rest were all 1LT at lower levels too. My lead is 17 so I'm not sure if it's just the high level ones or just around your own leads level?

With a Level 17+ lead I’ve been consistently* getting 2 Lunar Tears from enemies lvl15 and up >:O (*You’ll have to scroll a bit, sorry! Very image-heavy, be warned.) But definitely seconding the suggestion to just fight everything, if you got the salves, because every single battle won gives 1 LT. It adds up fast!
