Interactive Bird Adopts Question [Looking for advice!]

So basically, I recently decided to draw a bird- out of my comfort zone, in a really nice cartoony style. I've been wanting to make interactive adopts for a while, and I thought "Maybe I can make some bird ones!" The thing is, two players recently released Pouli-Raptors, which are... interactive bird adopts. Even though the style, methods, etc. I'm using will be different, I'm afraid people will think I'm copying the other player, or just not be as interested in my feathered beans. Also, I'm worried the (very talented) creators of the Poulis will 1. Be angry at me for using a similar idea and possibly taking away potential customers and 2. Possibly report me. Does anyone have advice about what to do in this situation?

I can't say how they'll react, but perhaps try messaging the creators of the Pouli-Raptors and explain what you've said here. You aren't intending to copy them, it was just a case of similar ideas at a similar time.
