Mudsong || Location: Twoleg Bridge || Mentions: Foxstar, Hawkpaw

She personally felt disappointed knowing that Foxstar wouldn't be tagging along, but she understood the new leader's position. It wouldn't be wise to leave the temporary camp without a source of authority. SunClan was yet to elect an official deputy. Without Foxstar, there would be a chance of disputes breaking out over whoever was temporarily in charge, and who would do what, and whose word overrode what. It sounded like a great mess that nobody wanted to be apart of. For the time being, Mudsplash would swallow her disappointment and patiently wait for the day that they could patrol together. "...We'll be chasing mice together in no time." She affirmed with a small smile, more or less aiming to reassure herself rather than her companion in that matter.

Her mind drifted to her apprentice. She knew that it would be an especially difficult time for him, given how much he'd lost. That being said, one of his only living family members had also gone through a transition of power. Did he ever fear if Foxstar would have less time for him? Or did he not care for her that much? "I hope he'll enjoy it," Mudsplash commented quietly, feeling an overwhelming amount of pressure on her shoulders. Her situation with Hawkpaw was a difficult one- Foxstar was putting a lot of trust in her paws by granting her Hawkpaw. With the recent stresses of the fire, she expected her apprentice to be particularly...strenuous. "Maybe I'll see if he has another apprentice he wants to take along." That might help.

Remus || Rogue || Location: Gray Fox Burrow/Forest || Mentions: Raventide [indirect]

Think, think, think...he had to try to think in order to outwit this predator.

He had no idea as to what it was- it could've been a dog for all he knew, and he was certain now that it was chasing him. However, from what he could hear, this tagalong didn't sound particularly heavy on its paws- in fact, Remus struggled to hear it over the noise his own massive paws made. Therefore, he had to be even heaver than his pursuer, correct? But those stripe-tailed cats... He recalled his days as a kitten, having to squint in order to do so. It was the day that he ran into Biscuit. ...The stripe-tailed and long-paw'd cats weren't particularly big, but they were still mean. They could've killed me as easily as a dog.

Remus continued to weave through the tall ferns in order to shake this tail that was following him, but his speed didn't seem to get him anywhere. He was too big to run for too long, but he was still adamant on avoiding a fight. So he called upon the mental map, trying to think of his surrounding for the time being. Something to make him lose this predator...something foul...

It was then that he recalled the fox den that was nearby. It had only been temporary- something the momma fox raised her young in before the gang all recently left. It still smelled foul, reeked of fox and whatever rotten prey they'd left in there. It was stench pungent enough to scare off most predators, and it was still strong enough to convince a passerby that the foxes still lived in there.

After all, whatever it was that was chasing him was no dog. A dog wouldn't care- but most of the other predators like the stripe-tailed cats and sometimes bobcats aimed to avoid the gray fox burrows. They smelled putrid, and the momma foxes were ferocious creatures.

So Remus darted to the right, bee-lining for the fox burrow before struggling inside. He held his breath at the stench, and silently sent a thankful prayer that the foxes were truly gone. If he ran in there while the momma fox was still occupying it...well, he'd probably leave without a tail. If he got to leave at all.

My chaser isn't a dog, and it isn't a gray fox. Remus pondered his situation as he struggled through the dusky burrow, trying to locate the back so he could flee out that end if need be. His scent would be masked now- if his chaser dared to follow him. It could be a bobcat. I don't think the stripe-tailed cats like to be out at this time of dawn. He was still holding his breath. It made his lungs scream. ...Next up would be the skunk burrow. Nobody likes that. That is, if it dares to linger around this fox den...

Dawnpaw || Location: Temporary Camp|| Mentions: N/A

He still struggled to wrap his head around it all. Everything had happened so fast, far too soon- first he was hit by a monster, than his mom was dead, and then everything that he'd grown up knowing, all of his comfort...gone. He didn't even have the opportunity to stop by her burial site before they fled from their home. Dawnpaw was just about to be released from the medicine cat den, too- but now, his lungs burned after inhaling all the smoke. He could only pray that it was all some bad dream, and that he'd be waking up soon.

But the sun continued to rise and dip below the horizon, and now, it was rising once more. Another day, and still no sign of the nightmare coming to an end. Dawnpaw had isolated himself from the other apprentices once more, grief still nipping at his belly. A new world, and he didn't even have the opportunity to share it with his mother. It's all my fault... he thought, progressively feeling more miserable about his situation. He curled himself into a tighter ball as he wished the pain away, but nothing seemed to help.

Nothing could bring his mother back.

He didn't dare glimpse down at his own reflection, either. When he came across something to drink, he always forcefully willed his eyes shut before doing so. He was hideous now- his jaw was busted from the accident. And that stupid tooth...it was always peeking out like it wanted to say "hello" to everyone. StarClan- why did everything have to go the way it did?

Why did StarClan make me so...so mouse-brained?

[Will reply with my other two in a few minutes!]

🦅Hawkpaw | Location: Forest/Field| Mentions: Palestripe🦅

Suddenly, the skittering of tiny paws caught the youngster's attention. He dropped down, hidden behind the curtains of long grass and thickening undergrowth. Hawkpaw's nose told him it was a mouse. Although his training was virtually nonexistent due to the long journey, the tom's instincts were strong. He moved slowly and methodically; his green eyes bored through the plant life until he was close enough to see his prey. The tiny gray rodent was scrambling about, shoving seeds into its cheeks. It almost seemed unconcerned, lazily stopping to smell or listen for predators before returning to its rather loud foraging.

The golden tom began wriggling his haunches, preparing to leap, when the rodent turned away. A second too early, Hawkpaw kicked out with his rear legs, nearly slipping on loose grass. The mouse was finally worried for its safety. Unfortunately, it was too late for that. The big apprentice slammed his forepaws down on the startled creature. It squealed terribly before he dispatched it, standing up again with the limp kill between his jaws. He flicked an ear in annoyance, no way I'm catching anything else out here after that. Might as well head back, don't want Foxstar or Mudsong chewing my-

Hardly paying attention to his surroundings, Hawkpaw's thoughts were interrupted by the sight of Palestripe not far off, gazing into the trees. His fur ruffled, embarrassed to startle so easily, before he continued approaching the old tom. He placed the fresh-kill between his forepaws before speaking.

"G'morning, Palestripe." he muttered, although attempting to be respectful, "Uh, would you happen to want a mouse? I just caught this one, but I don't really like them."

Raventide | Location: Forest | Mentions: Remus

Raventide skidded to a halt when a horrible stench smacked him right in the face, and he watched with wide, icy eyes as the animal he'd been following slipped right into the source of the smell.

What brave actions. He thought to himself, shaking his fur out. Taking a few steps back, he sat behind one of the large stalks of the many tall trees, gazing intently at the mouth of the den.

While I'd love to come back to my clan alive, I don't think I'd ever run into something that foul. He nodded in self-agreement, and his tailtip twitched back and forth, his 'patience-clock' starting.

The warrior wondered slightly how the clan was faring; he guessed that at least a few cats would be awake by now, maybe some apprentices that are eager to get the day started.

🕷Spiderfang | Location: Temporary Camp | Mentions: Shadedfern, Foxstar🕷

Spiderfang shrugged, flopping over onto his side, "I don't think so. If everyone else is already out and about, we'd do better to hang back and wait for Foxstar. If there's something more urgent than hunting to do, say fox tracks or twoleg things, she'll need more than a few slumbering elders ands kits to deal with it." Finishing his input, he gave his flank a few vigorous licks. He nibbled at an itch underneath his fur, losing his train of thought.

The tabby's less than sharp mind jumped to another thought, and he blurted out, "When do you think we'll settle somewhere? I'm so tired of walking my paws are about to fall off." he sighed exaggeratedly, turning a paw to lick the cracked pads.

🦊Foxstar | Location: Temporary Camp | Mentions: Mudsong, SunClan🦊

Foxstar purred warmly at the thought, missing the quiet patrols the pair used to go on, the good natured hunting competitions, the evenings sharing tongues in camp... The camp they could never go back to. So much has changed, I can't wait for all the small things to go back to normality. She found her paws suddenly surging with energy, and galloped the rest of the way back to the lone tree.

As she came into view of her fellow clanmates, the scarred calico gave quick nods of greeting to those who were awake. The leader took note of the few who were missing, worrying as Hawkpaw made the list. She surveyed the area for a raised point to address everyone from. Her gaze landed on a boulder just visible above the foliage and she leaped atop it. Foxstar took a deep breath before letting out a yowl.

"Cats of SunClan! We have nearly reached the end of our journey!" she called with triumph, "Two scouting patrols will cross the river to explore the new territory. Mudsong will lead one, anyone willing may join her or lead the second patrol. The rest of you may hunt and prepare yourselves to set out for the last time!" Foxstar felt the rays of the rising sun peak over the horizon and bathe her pelt in a warm, golden glow. She was sure, again, that StarClan was guiding SunClan to their new home.

Shadedfern | Location: Temp. Camp | Mentions: Spiderfang, Foxstar

Shadedfern chuckled at his friend's exaggeration - but... he had to admit that he was close to following his actions. He opened his maw to say something before a familiar voice rang out.

Ears perked, the tom listened to what Foxstar had to say, and a big smile slowly made its way onto his face. Bapping Spiderfang on the nose, he laughed. "Quite ironic that one, eh?" He asked, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "We're almost to home, wherever it'll be this time."

Standing up, Shadedfern stretched out his forelegs, his tail curling in the air as he felt his joints pop, letting out a sigh. That feeling never gets old. He thought with a purr.

"Come on, then! Let's go tell Foxstar we want to patrol! Whether you want to lead one or go with Mudsong is up to you." He added quickly, rolling the fellow tom onto his paws.

You could possibly join in on the patrol that Mudsong is hosting or the one that Spiderfang might lead with Shadedfern; you could also go on a self-hunting trip, or go looking for Hawkpaw since I believe one of your characters is his father..? Sorry if that's incorrect, my brain is a bit slow this morning ^^"))

§  Creekstep |  Location: Temp. Camp |  Mentions: Shadedfern, Spiderleg  §

The large calico tom padded along side the clearing. He let out a satisficed purr, as his leader called out to her clan. He heard mews of happiness echo throughout the clearing. Cats began to pour back into camp with fresh-kill clenched in their jaws. He jerked his head to the side as he heard the two cats talking about a patrol. "You dare go in patrol without inviting me! How cruel." He jokingly mewed as he padded up besides the pair, "Although, going on a patrol seems like a good way to find Hawkpaw. Curious as he is he needs to help prepare to leave."

Creekstep looked to Shadedfern, "Prey has been everywhere this new-leaf, it wouldn't hunt to as well don't you think?" He let out a curt nod and sat down, beginning to lick his paw he drew it over his ear. "Come on! Let's not wait for mouse to fly." He looked to Shadedfern, who was thinking. He flicked his ear towards him, awaiting a response. He looked to Spiderleg, who was also waiting for his friend.

"Hmph. I'll take your thinking forever as a 'yes.' I'm not going to wait all day." He got up and began to stalk o the entrance, "Youngsters these days." He flicked his tail and slid through the fern tunnel. He walked out into redwood forest, his ears pircking as sound came from every corner. He could smell the faint scent of his son, Hawkpaw. "Hm, Hawkpaws scent is fresh over here. Maybe e could find him. I just hope that he's not harassing a fox." He began to walk along side a berry bush, tasting the the air for any new scents.
