Can someone explain to me how the hunting chances spreadsheet works?

So, I'm fairly clear on the spreadsheet posted by the mods in this last news update works... except for the stat numbers. I get that the 50-250-500 numbers presumably represent the stats that are relevant for each hunting role, but how does that work? Most of the roles look at two different stats -- is the 50-250-500 number Stat A + Stat B?? The mean average of the two? The higher of the two? The lower? I'm very lost.

"Previously, Proficiency and Synergy would be the difference between taking down a large prey.  Wolves with only 50 stats in each required stat would go from a 10% success rate with no Proficiency and Synergy, and 100% success rate with 100% Proficiency and Synergy."

I understand that each valid stat was set at 50-250-500, not the sum of them.

Okay, so, then what happens if you have a chaser with a whopping 250 points in speed but zero in agility, where do they fall on the spreadsheet? Is it the same place as a chaser who has 125 in speed and 125 in agility, or the chaser who has 250 in both?

The spreadsheet only contains testing results from wolves that have chasers with 250 speed and 250 agility and so on. It only contains 6 samples of hunting parties with certain stats set. It doesn't explain how it works with different stats between party members.
