@ Maddie I agree the price makes sense for checking all possible carrier statuses (and assuming the price isn't raised with more mutations added, will likely grow more reasonable over time). However, it doesn't make any kind of sense for people with long and established lines of mutation carriers. If someone has a 6th generation potential melanism carrier, with long lineages on both sides of the family, the chance there's a hidden albinism or brachy carrier that far down the line is very, very low. At that point, the extra 100 SC for checking specifically for a mel carrier feels a lot like an unreasonable payment. personally I agree with the other people who have suggested being able to chose which mutations the bat scries for, with a 50 SC fee for each check. This also keeps the mutation checking more flexible for future mutations to be added into the game! |

I support I use 30-40sc to Scry pups or a wolves before chasing them. I don't need to know what my potential Albino Carrier is not a Mela Carrier ... |

As the way it stands it's hindering the market. Mutations are already not worth a lot and now it's being given an artificially high price that will yield far less return. |

Okie dokie lemon squeezy I think everyone was scrying roughly 3 to 4 times for each mutation to check if their wolf was a carrier, so that’s why I personally agree with 50-60sc. It is nice that we don’t have to check them multiple times now, but I can’t afford that man :/ I got wolves to feed and no one is going to buy a “potential carrier” since we can now check and the mutation market is already basically dying so I feel more inclined to just chase whatever I get instead of waiting 150sc for nothing, meanwhile I could spend 60sc checking :( there’s pros and cons but honestly the cons just out way the pros |

Support. I think I’ll just copy my feedback from the news post so it doesn’t get lost there: I prefer the concept of the Gene the Bat a lot more over puppy scrying, but I do agree with everyone who have stated that the SC fee is very steep. I consider myself a somewhat wealthy-ish player (I don't struggle with currency and I can usually afford to buy "the next big thing"), but I don't think I'll pay for even one mutation check from the bat. However, I don't think it's fair to the players to take the old way away completely, while making the "official" way to do it thrice more expensive than it was before. I think a better way to handle this would keep the scrying for mutations through the good old stone, but wolves that are checked this way would still have to only be advertised as "potential carriers". The Bat would exist to get that fancy official label on the wolf's page. |

Support - too expensive for someone like me who only breeds for Albinism and has no interest in any other mutation. |

Support, the price is way too steep for people checking pups that have like no chance for other mutations but a high chance for one that the player is specifically breeding for. At the very least we should have the option to check only one mutation for a smaller price, no more than 70 sc max and preferably less than that |

I laid out all my thoughts in the replies to the News but I think the goal in making the price high might have been to actually help increase the value of mutations/carriers. If the market is crashing because it's easy to get mutations, the solution is to make them harder to get. I guess we will see what effect this has soon. |
