Breeding Help

Hey guys, I have been trying to get into breeding and was wondering what kind of traits make a wolf valuable.

This wolf ( wolvden.com ) is who I am looking to breed. I know that things like tier II bases are important and certain bases increase value, but what about markings? She has inuit and merle which I know are popular but I don't really know what other markings or traits would make her more desirable.

What I am basically asking is if you have any tips, suggestions, or wisdom you can depart on how to better help me understand breeding and how to make a wolf have better and more valuable pups. Is breeding wolves with the same markings important? Are certain combinations important? Do I want my pups to have all of the same markings? I am not really sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I think that generally speaking, newer markings are always more appealing, especially if they are breed-only or obtained only with RMA.

But right now the latest markings introduced were Cover/Half Cover and Points that came with the November Update and they are already kinda common as of now (or at least I don't see players battling on auctions to have them). Same with the markings on your wolf. She has merle and inuit, but the market is quite filled with pups with the same type of markings (and Tamaskan too) and I think they don't sell for much anymore. They were way more popular right after the game started but not much right now.

At the moment, all the interest is on T3 pups and muties. Or high stats wolves. For what I have seen, there is not really a trendy marking that could make your pups valuable.

You could maybe try to go for the double-merle, triple-merle or something like that. But again, I'm not sure people is still interested in that anymore since we had so many merle pups at some point that it triggered the opposite effect and players stopped to find merle appealing.

Personally, I value more the general look of the pups than their single markings. I'm gladly paying more for a pup with good looking markings, or with a unique look than for a pup that maybe have both merle and Inuit, but the markings are clashing with each other or with the base. And I noticed that usually pups with 6 or more markings sell more than pups with less, so maybe you can try to aim at that, breeding your girl with a 10M stud and hope to get pups with lots of markings on them.

What you can definetly do is check out the Wanted: Wolf section of the Chatter and see what other players are looking for. That might gives you an idea of what is in high demand so you know what to focus on when breeding
