Retire lead wolf early without ”killing” it.

I would rather there not be a loss of stats or level, as the reason (for me, at least) is to immortalize the lead wolf at the peak of their existence, just before they die. So losing stats/level would kill a lot of the work I'd have put into my lead.

Full support!

Honestly lore wise it makes sense to me that some wolves might wish to retire and relax for their last year or so and let someone younger take over, rather than have a super frail old wolf still leading the pack.

In my lore I would like to have my main boy's son temporarily lead the pack after his death, but only as a reluctant act of desperation in order to keep the pack alive while they find someone who actually wants to lead.

I support! I didn't even know we killed our lead when retiring, never had the experience of it for now. That's kinda sad.

I highly support this! I had actually been thinking on this the other day. You shouldn't have to 'kill off' a lead to make room for a new one. Just make it a regular pack member.

If they are worried about us using the old lead to jack the stats then use them for hunting or scouting- make an 'elder' rank or something. I'm not saying make them immortal. But like make it so the wolf can't do anything like take an active role or breed, but still be alive and eventually able to die once they hit the 7 year age limit (I think that's the age wolves die on here. But I could be wrong. But that's beside the point). Hopefully that makes sense!

But I know a lot of people who have lore where the heir takes over the pack when the old leader 'retires', but I'd still like to keep the parent alive for the story purpose. Plus, people like to keep the wolves around just because they love them but don't want to see them die yet. I would have loved to keep my first lead alive to watch his 'daughter' (By lore) take over the pack, because he was my first leader. But now all I can do is see him in the dynasty. 8/ It's not as satisfying.

So yes, I highly support this!

Support! I love my lead to death, and I wouldn't ever want to kill her, even if I have an heir that I'm excited to have take over the pack. This would be such a great feature, especially for lore reasons!

Big support! Kinda like Potema, I had planned on immortalizing my lead and another wolf because I made them based off of werewolf characters I have. I've just recently found out that I can't do that, so I'm kinda upset. It doesn't make sense to me to kill the lead right away either, whether for lore or like someone mentioned above, the 5-level below trophy cap. I don't have an issue with the cap right now, but I'm sure plenty of others do. I also had been wondering if I made my lead immortal while she was still a lead, would she forever be my lead, but then realized that 'lead' is a role and so she would have to step down for her to be able to eat the jellyfish.

Anyway, I support and hope the devs will listen to this!

Support. I wanted to immortalize my lead since it's the first wolf I ever made on Wolvden, but I'm disappointed to find out I can't. :(

Supporting! Also agreeing with Blue's Eyes on removing them from breeding after becoming a Ex-lead.
