*Appearance*

Description:

A small she-cat with long brownish red fur and large, expressive, amber eyes. She is far from the strongest cat and, since the fires, she has seemed even weaker and more tired, possibly from the constant work of trying to keep her clan alive with Swamppatch. She has only a few small scars, mostly hidden well by her fluffy coat, though she does suffer with a long-term injury to her back left leg that makes it trickier for her to move around,

Eye Color: Amber

Pelt Color(s): Ruddy

Scars/Other Features: Twisted back paw

*Characteristics*

Personality:

Pinepetal was a very hyperactive and playful kit, but the isolation and confinement after her injury caused her to become more withdrawn. She still struggles off and on with depressive moods but has found happiness in helping other cats. For the most part she is happy now and enjoys chatting with her clanmates about anything and everything. She is a bit of a romantic and hopes to someday find love, but isn't the best at expressing those sorts of feelings either.

Biography:

Pinekit was born into Sunclan rather uneventfully. She was just an average kit, in an average litter, with very little in life to worry about. She was an adventurous and hyperactive kitten, and could often be found playing and getting into trouble with her littermates and the other kits her age. When she finally became an apprentice to become a warrior she proved to be an exceptionally good fighter, though her excitable energy never seemed to slow down. Despite her skills as a fighter, she struggled with hunting, and because of that Pinepaw struggled to earn her warrior name- all three of her littermates receiving theirs before she did. She was absolutely determined to prove herself worthy, and this would ultimately be her downfall. Climbing as high as she could into the trees, Pinepaw was determined to catch the largest prey she could find. She leapt from branch to branch, doing incredibly well at first following a particularly fat bird through the canopy, but as she attempted to leap from one tree to another, the old and dying branch she found herself on gave way. Tumbling to the ground, she fell, ending in a pile of debris and branches, one of which had crushed her back leg. Her next several moons were spent wallowing in misery. For several long moons she lived in the medicine cat's den where Dewstep and Larksong were going to care for her until her leg fully recovered. Unfortunately it never did. Her leg permanently twisted, she was moved to the elders den where she was left to spend the rest of her days. For many many more moons time she curled in on herself, retreating from the rest of the clan emotionally. She was depressed and withdrawn from everyone but the elders she now lived with. When it was first suggested that she train to be a medicine cat she scoffed at the idea. Surely a proud warrior apprentice like herself couldn't stoop so low as to learn medicine. But eventually the idea grew on her, or more accurately was thrust upon her with little regard to her own opinions.

Thanks to her earlier time living in the medicine cats' den Pinepaw didn't take long to learn the herb and remedies for many different illnesses. She earned her full name, Pinepetal, rather quickly, and has worked as a medicine cat ever since. Over the moons as she found herself to be more and more useful to her clan, the depressive state she had been in lessened and a bit of her lighthearted joking nature eventually returned. She tends to stay in and around the camp, as long journeys seem to aggravate her leg. Since the fire and their clan's relocation she has struggled with the pain of her leg and the stresses of healing what remains of a broken clan.

I just took up role playing again in the last month or so, so I'm probably a little rusty. Sorry!

☼Basics☼

Name: Honeycloud

Age: 30 moons

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Straight

Rank: Queen

Desired Rank: Queen

Relationships:

Palefeather - Mother - Deceased

Owlclaw - Father - Deceased

Snowshine - Sister - Deceased

Sandfur - Brother - Deceased

If anyone would like to apply to be her mate and future kit(s), that would be splendid!

☼Appearance☼

Description: Honeycloud is a light cream she-cat, speckled with darker cream spots. She has eyes similar to the color of healthy moss. Her fur is incredibly fluffy, and many cats describe that it's as soft as a cloud. She almost always has a soft smile on her face. She's a little smaller than average cats, but this makes her incredibly agile. She was out of camp at the time of the fire hunting, and returned when it was beginning to wind down. Desperate to find her family, she suffered severe burns to her paws.

Eye Color: Light green

Pelt Color(s): Cream with darker cream spots and white

Scars/Other Features: Burn scars on her paw pads

☼Characteristics☼

Personality: Honeycloud is quite a reserved cat. She dislikes conflict, and hates the sight and smell of blood. Despite this, she's easy to get to know when you make the effort, and it's worth the reward. She's incredibly friendly and gentle, however, she's particularly sensitive so when cruel words are spoken towards her, she will take it personally and will sulk for the rest of the day. She often plasters on a smile to hide her lingering grief towards her family, and she'll mourn in solitude so she doesn't receive pity.

Biography: Sunclan was prospering, and thus two cats who were madly in love decided to start a family together. Palefeather and Owlclaw were simply a match made in Starclan, and everyone supported their choice of having a family. Palefeather gave birth to three healthy kits and named them Honeykit, Snowkit, and Foxkit. Owlclaw regularly finished up his warrior duties as fast as he could so he could dote on the new kits and his mate. The entire family was close knit. Even when the three became apprentices, they had a strong bond to each other and hated being without the others. A few sunrises after they became warriors, Honeycloud was hunting alone after having a small fight with her siblings when the scent of smoke reached her nostrils. She dropped the mouse she was carrying and sprinted back to the camp. The clan cats were mingling a safe distance away, but she didn't spot her parents or siblings. Despite her clanmates cries of protest, she desperately shuffled through the remains of the smoldering camp all the while ignoring the intense pain in her paws. The bodies of her parents were almost unrecognizable except for the scar on her father's ear and her mother's stubby tail. Her siblings apparently died of smoke inhalation and her clanmates had to physically drag her away from their corpses.

Scars/Other Features: Cowlick on top of her head, small tail & her two sides are different!

Adventurous • Sociable • Whimsical • Curious • Oblivious • Reckless

Duckpaw is an excitable cat that's bursting with energy. She's got an adventurous spirit and loves to explore. She loves to learn new things and is quite curious, asking a lot of questions about everything. She's the cat who's got to stick to her nose into everything. Duckpaw is quite sociable and loves other's company. She can be a bit chatty and loves to play with others. Duckpaw's quite whimsical and sees everything as something fun to do. She has a big imagination and tends to daydream as well. Due to this, she tends to be quite oblivious to other things around as she gets so caught up in her own world. She has a tendency to space out or simply wander off. Duckpaw's rather reckless and doesn't really think before doing something. She doesn't seem to have a sense of danger nor fear.

Biography:

Duckpaw was originally born a rogue named Winter where she lived with her mother and brother and never knew anything of her father. She never had a name as her mother refused to name her and her brother as she wanted to avoid becoming attached to kittens who most likely weren't going to make it. Winter was a cold she-cat who had no interest in raising kittens but couldn't bear just abandoning them so she cared for the two youngsters on her own. The two kittens lived a simple life playing together all hidden away in the den the family had underneath a tree. The two were on their own most of the time as Winter constantly left to go outside the den. She had never understood why her mother was always gone and why they weren't allowed to leave the den. Despite her brother's protests, her curiosity got the better of her and she left the den one day.

The world outside of the den was nothing of what the little kitten was expecting and off she went, exploring a much as she could of this whole new world! Her brother eventually followed after her, scared to be alone in the den without her. The two kittens wandered around for a bit until finally, their mother found them. Winter was furious that they had disobeyed her orders and was quick to scold the two kittens before bringing them back to the den.

From that day on, the little she-cat kept trying her best to sneak on out of the den to go explore the world despite her mother's word. Every time, her mother would catch her and harshly scold her for doing so but she kept doing it anyway. That was until her mother told her that the next time she left the den without permission, she wasn't allowed to come back home. First, the kitten didn't care about her mother's warning and went out again despite her brother's pleading for her not to leave. Well, that was until the night started to fall. She had traveled too far from the den to find her way back curled up next to a tree when night had fallen, hoping her mother would come to find her. She didn't. She had woken up still lost in the wilderness and started to wander around as she desperately searched for the den. She didn't find the den but did find her mother off in the distance.

Thrilled, the kitten ran after the older she-cat and followed her back to the den. Her excitement was quick to die upon reaching the den. She had called out to her mother as she approached the den to which her mother then spun around to hiss at her. She came to a skidding halt and stared at her mother in shock. Her mother told her she wasn't allowed to come back because she left the den. She wanted to be outside so bad, well, now she's stuck outside. She left in complete disappointment with her tail dragging along in the dirt as her family watched her leave.

The little kitten wandered away from the den a bit before flopping down on the ground. Now, what is she supposed to do? This wasn't fun anymore... She laid there pouting on the ground a bit before spying a frog to which she promptly got up to chase it around. Her fun game was soon cut short, however, as a loud CRASH broke through the air and startled the kitten. Spooked, she stopped in her tracks and looked around wildly before something wet fell on her nose. It started to rain and she was soon completely soaked all the way through. She found a bush to hide in from the rain where she curled up under it, shivering and frightened. This was awful. She hated the rain. She hated being outside. She wanted to go back home where it was dry and comforting. She didn't want to be alone anymore.

When the rain finally let up, the kitten scrambled on out from under the bush. She shook out her pelt as best as she could but she was still quite damp. She found her way back to the den and hid in a bush until her mother came back home that night. Once her family had gone to sleep, she then snuck into the den and then curled up next to her brother and mother. She laid there shivering as she tried to go to sleep for a few heartbeats before she felt her mother's tongue passing over her fur. She was soon lulled to sleep as her mother groomed her pelt.

In the morning, the kitten received a scolding from Winter and when told she had to do what she was told in order to stay, she simply nodded and accepted it. She'd rather be stuck in the den all the time rather than out there in the rain. So, she stayed in the den until the time came when her mother decided the two could leave the den. The two kittens had to stay with their mother when leaving the den and they started being taught what they needed to know to survive on their own. Winter explained to her kittens that they needed to pay close attention to everything she told them so that way they could survive without her. The concept of her mother being gone was a strange one to the little she-cat. Why would her mother be gone? Aren't they going to be together always?

She did her best to listen to everything her mother told her but she was just always distracted by everything and typically zoned out, much to her mother's annoyance. Despite her mother's scolding, she still got distracted by something in the end. When following her mother one day, the kitten soon spotted a butterfly flying by which captured her attention in full. She paused in her walk to start batting at it and eventually, starting to jump to catch it but it always escaped her paws. Determined to catch it and show it off to her mother, the kitten followed after the butterfly and left her family behind. She followed the butterfly for a good while until with one last leap to catch it, she didn't fall softly back to the ground below.

No, she plummeted through the air and crashed down into a bush. She had jumped off a small hill and crash-landed on the ground below it. Wincing in pain, the kitten scrambled out of the bush and back onto her paws. She looked around to find no butterfly, no familiar area, no mother... Oh no! Where was she!? Where was her family!? Worried that her mother might kick her out again, the kitten ran off in a random direction in panic. She had to find them! Surely, they weren't far away, right?

The kitten wandered around for what felt like forever but alas, found nothing. Nothing looked familiar and everything became a blur of the same thing. Despite her cries out to her family, she got no response back. She was now truly lost and hurt all over... The kitten wandered around lost for days and hid in bushes whenever it became dark or rainy. She felt crushed that she couldn't find her way back and that no one had found her already... Did her mother really not want her back?

Her days changed up as she smelt a strange smell and saw some weird gray cloud in the sky. She then noticed something bright red and orange, what was that?? Whatever it was, it coming her way and it felt hot so she turned tail and ran off. She ran as fast as she could and for as long as she could until she ran into another cat. She had no idea who they were but they were just as surprised to see her as she was for them. The adult cat picked her up and took her with them, taking her to safety.

The cat ended up taking her to Sunclan where she was allowed to stay since she didn't have her family. Everything about the clan was strange and she didn't understand why they couldn't just take her back to her family. They asked for her name and she gave them a confused look. Name? What's a name? Upon explaining what a name was, she pondered on it. Hm... Maybe kitten? That's what her mom called her anyway! They explained to her that wasn't a name and that she was a kitten which just made her more confused. As the fires ruined the land, the little kitten stayed with the clan as they did their best to care for her and even gave her a name, Duckkit. It didn't seem all that bad but things were tough as there wasn't much left after the fire and she was sad she wasn't with her family anymore but she didn't know what else to do but stay with the clan...

The time came and the entire clan moved away where they went on a journey for a whole moon until they settled in a new territory. As a brand new apprentice with a new name (why did her name have change again??), Duckpaw was ready to take on the new world!

Hey everyone, sorry I've neglected this a bit this month. I've decided if anyone would like to add any more characters, regardless of if you already have the previous max of two. Time permitting, I'll post the roleplay thread and my first replies within the week!

I love the writing I see and would love to join. Are you accepting new characters? I was hoping to play an outsider kit (Or it of Honeycloud) with an interest in herbs and Star Clan if it would be allowed.

Creekstep fights hard and is loyal to his clan. He is best at battles rather than hunts.

Creeksteps Story-

" Ha, I got you ! " Creekkit giggled as he pounced onto his denmate, Crowkit. They both toppled over as they rough housed all over the nursery. Crowkit got up and started dashing across the floor, " Haha you can't catch me ! " she teased, "You're to slow ! " Creekkit giggled and chased after her, kicking up grass with his hind legs as he dashed. A familiar grey paw made them fall over each other. "What are you little fur balls doing? " Said the tom, with a playful voice. "Oh, hi Stormwind" said Creekkit, looking at the huge muscular, tom towering over him. Stormwind was Creekkit's father, and he always found a way to annoy him and Crowkit. "You two are going to be apprentices tomorrow; you shouldn't be running around the nursery like newborns." Stormwind continued, "you should be getting ready to become a warrior." Creekkit rolled his eyes and padded back along side Crowkit.

Dawn had risen over the horizon, sending a warm light into the nursery. Creekkit began to stir along with Crowkit. Creekkit sprang up, remembering what today is. Creekkit ran out of the nursery, scanning all the cats to see who he wants as a mentor. "I want that cat!" he exclaimed. Willowpaw, a grey-blue, huge she-cat padded along besides him, "You don't chose your mentor; The leader does." Willowpaw let out a long purr of amusement, she flicked her tail and padded off the the elders den; a mouse clenched in her jaws. Creekkit watched her go, slightly annoyed. Crowkit slowly walked out of the nursery, yawning and stretching she walked besides Creekkit. They both padded up the front of the HighRock as their leader called a clan meeting. As the words were said, Creekpaw now had the mentor Featherfoot.

Creekpaw moved silently in the undergrowth, his tail held low. He had caught the scent of a mouse and was stalking up on it. When it came into reach, he pounced. The mouse tried to dash away, but Creekpaw's jaws met it first. He dug a small hole and placed his catch in. He was doing very well at his assesment, he had caught many mice, a rabbit and a vole. He was well aware that his mentor, Featherfoot, was watching him closely. He opened his mouth to taste the air, he smelt a gross scent. It had the smell of a cat but still of crow-food. "A loner!" he said to himself. His fur puffed out as the new cat came into view. Without warning Creekpaw let out a spit of rage and pounced onto the rouge, claws met it's fur. The cat spun around, nocking Creekpaw off balance. Creekpaw hissed and aimed for the cat's shoulder. The cat yowled in agony as he latched onto it. Nipping at it's ear it ran off. Featherfoot came into view, "That was very good. And so is your hunting. I will talk to leader about you warrior ceremony." Creekpaw nodded and picked up his catches on the way back to camp. He looked proud and determined.

Creekstep was laying down in his nest, fast asleep. His pelt shown in the moon-lit night. He began to stir as dawn stretched over the horizon. Many cats were already moving about around the camp. Apprentices carrying pack fresh kill for the elders; warriors were coming and going from patrols. Creekstep yawned and walked out of the den. He troted to the enterance of the gorse tunnel leading to the outside. He decided he would go hunting alone. He enjoyed peace and quiet, at times. He went to the far side of the redwoods, it is the best to find rabbits there. "I might be able to find a few mice as well." he muttered to himself. He was distracted by his own thoughts when he heard a tiny paw-step in the undergrowth. Immediately, he fell into a crouch; stalking the rabbit silently. When he was close enough he sprang into the air, dashing after the swift rabbit as it ran. A few tail-length ran, and he caught up to it and bit onto the back of the rabbits neck, killing it in one blow.

After, what felt like a moon of hunting, he took his catches back to the fresh-kill-pile. He flicked his ear an padded along side his best friend, Crowwing. "Oh, hello Creekstep!" Crowwing mewed, she began to lick her paw and drew over her ear. She washed herself as Creekstep explained how his hunting 'mission' went. "That seems nice," she continued, "how come you didn't invite me?" Creekstep looked at her and smiled, "I don't know you kind of are." Crowing playfully wacked his head with her paw, she purred and pounced onto him. They began to play-fight outside the warriors den like kits.

He stared down at the kits, who were playful and full of energy. Then his stare changed to his mate, Lilywood, who was watches their kits with love and interest. Meadowkit looked just like her mom; a fluffy white with brown splotches. But she had his sage green eyes. On the other hand, Flowerkit, was a calico female with bright yellow eyes. Woodkit was a fluffy black tom with white spots and orange eyes. He looked down onto them smiling and his eyes full of love. He knew they would be strong warriors, the best of the clan.

Creekstep yawed and padded out into the clearing, he felt like he slept for moons. Stretching, he went over to the gorse tunnel; leaving the camp to go hunting he realized Crowwing had joined him. "Now can I come with you?"  Crowwing mewed and flicked he ear. Creekstep let out a a soft purr of laughter and nodded.

His ears pricked as he heard a small squeak of a mouse. He held his tail low as we silently stalked the small creature. He let out a loud meow as he leaped straight onto the mouse. His claws pierced straight through the fur. Her flicked his tail and placed it into a small hole and covered it with the undergrowth. Crowwing padded up besides him, a squirrel clamped firmly in her jaws.

"That's a good catch." Creekstep purred, tasting the air for any more scents. "And I caught a mouse over there to." She added, pointing her muzzle towards a large fern. He nodded and began to walk over to a group of bushes. He opened his mouth to taste the air once again and caught the smell of a vole. He crouched down and began to stalk towards it. He moved through the large ferns swiftly. When the vole came into view he leaped into the air. He landed onto it's neck with his jaw and bit down, killing it with ease.

Name: Juniperpaw (Sorry if the name sounds too long, she can have a 1-syllable suffix)

Age: 8 moons

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Demiromantic bisexual

Past Ranks: Loner (Juniper), kit (Juniperkit)

Rank: Medicine cat apprentice

Relationships:

Mother: Willowspark (Deceased)

Father: Haze (Unknown, loner)

Sisters: Whisper (Loner), Ash (Loner), Mistypaw (warrior apprentice)

☼Appearance☼

Description:

Eye Color: Pale blue

Pelt Color(s): Juniperpaw has a light silver-gray coat, fading to white undersides. She has white speckles on her face, resembling freckles. Her pelt also has a muted, gray tabby pattern. Her fur is long, feathery, and very soft.

Scars/Other Features: N/A

☼Characteristics☼

Personality: Juniperpaw is a quiet, level-headed apprentice. She enjoys it when camp is fairly quiet, and usually stays away from the more... enthusiastic apprentices. She is a dedicated learner and looks up to the older medicine cats. Juniperpaw enjoys taking with the elders and taking long foraging trips on her own.

Biography:

Juniperpaw and Mistypaw were too young to remember when their mother took them to Sunclan. Willowspark had gotten lost after being chased out of Sunclan territory by a loose dog, who injured her in the process. She was found and looked after by a loner named Haze, who nursed her back to health. Willowspark and Haze subsequently fell in love and had four kits together- Whisper, Ash, Misty, and Juniper. When she was completely ready to travel after having her kits, Willowspark made the hard decision to leave her love and go back to Sunclan. She wanted to take the kits with her, so they could grow up in her home clan. Haze disagreed, wanting the kits he fathered to live a freer life, instead of being raised into the rigid, rule-filled life of a clan cat. Both cats loved each other and the kits, but also believed strongly in what was right for them and their kits. Finally, they came to a decision. Willowspark would take Juniper and Misty back to Sunclan to raise them, and Ash and Whisper would stay with Haze, half in the forest and half out. That night, Willowspark said her goodbyes and took the two helpless kits she was going to raise back to Sunclan. Unbeknownst to her, Willowspark was walking into a deathtrap.

When Willowspark returned to the forest, she found not a sunny, peaceful camp full of her clanmates, but chaos, smoke, and fire. With the two young kits in her mouth, she could only watch and run from the fire as it engulfed her home- the only home she had ever truly known. Overcome with grief, Willowspark ran to join a group of singed but alive cats who seemed to be escaping the fire. She never made it. As she dashed through the hellscape of the burning trees, a large limb split off one of the trunks. It landed on Willowspark's midsection, crushing her but miraculously leaving the kits physically unharmed. One of her best friends, since before they were out of the nursery, saw the whole catastrophe unfold. He ran to Willowspark's side, trying to comfort her in last seconds of life. After making him promise to never tell a soul, Willowspark revealed that the kits were hers, fathered by the loner Haze. With her last breath, she urged him to take the kits with him. And that's how Juniperkit and Mistykit became clan cats, finally parts of the clan their mother lived- and died- to uphold.

@Cloudeh we are accepting! I'd prefer not to start with any kits, you're welcome to pm Jaded Echo about being one of Honeycloud's later, though!

@Layla you're missing a few things, please write something for the description and biography. I'd like to see a little more in the personality, as well. The deputy position isn't available due to the plot, but you're welcome to keep his desired rank as deputy. I'd also prefer but not require that you changed Creekstep's appearance. Right now he's technically a calico, which is extremely rare for males cats.

@Juniper we've got quite a lot more she-cats at the moment than toms, if you'd be willing to give Juniperpaw a brother instead. If not, I'd rather wait on Mistypaw until the genders get a bit more equal. Juniperpaw is accepted, though ^^

I'm going to close apprentice slots for now, since we won't have enough warriors for them!
