Hunting in areas discovered by scouting

Hunting in areas discovered by scouting

Suggestion: Allow hunting parties to hunt in any location that has been discovered by scouting. For example, if someone lives in the mountains but they have the grasslands, deciduous forest, and riparian woodlands discovered they would be able to hunt there as well. However, they would not be able to hunt in areas that they have not unlocked from scouting. It would be useful if someone was trying to hunt particular prey (useful for item collection snake quests) and/or to send out multiple hunting parties.* For example, one hunting party could be hunting in the mountains while the other hunting party is hunting in the grasslands at the same time.

How it works: The "🦴 Hunting" section would be defaulted to your home biome, the same as it is now. Within that same section, there would be a dropdown menu (similar to how a dropdown menu appears when you feed or play with your wolves) and you would be able to click the discovered biome you want to hunt in. When you change hunting biomes the artwork will automatically refresh and you will be able to hunt in that location.

* The multiple hunting parties part is optional. It can be limited to one hunting party that is able to hunt in scouted out biomes.

Support! I actually thought this was a feature when I first started playing lol. I think it could work a lot how explore works for your lead wolf or how it works on Lioden: certain prey can only be caught in certain areas so if you're doing a quest for the quest snake you have better control over where your party hunts and thus better control over what they might find rather then how it currently is where all you can really control is how big the prey you're going for is.

yes i agree you can choose if a hunting party is hunting in your home biome or another biome that you have fully discovered.

Oh! I agree this would make the quests much better. I hate when you have to get an animal that you can only get when hunting and you live in the wrong biome. Sure there are encounters that let you get quest items, but they aren't reliable in how often they appear and give stuff out.

Plus I have 2 hunting parties and only 1 can hunt at a time a feature like this would allow for multiple hunting parties, like the 2 scouts, one for your home biome and one for a random one.

i have three hunting parties and don't understand why i can't send out more than one hunting party.

I edited the thread to add some new information based on the comments about multiple hunting parties, which I did not think about before, so thanks for that suggestion. Please let me know if there is anything else I should add or otherwise change, the feedback is appreciated! ❤️

i like the drop down feature.

this way you can choose to hunt in your home biome or a biome you discovered.

i would like to send a hunting party to hunt in the mountains my home biome and another hunting party in a different biome.

everything else about the hunt like choosing which scent to follow should stay the same. i hope this makes sense.

I think you are saying if a hunting party picked up three small scent trails in the mountains they would also pick up three small scent trails in the grasslands instead of different size scent trails, correct? Scent trails would not vary on location? I am sorry if I misunderstood.

the kinds of scents you find would be random like it is now. still choose one to follow.
