Reduce Likelihood of Woodlice Encounter

Now, anyone who frequents exploring certain biomes will know exactly what I'm talking about here... There's an encounter that seems to have its chance of appearing at 200% compared to everything else.Β This random encounter doesn't give the player anything, it's just flavor text. That's fine, but the rate it shows up is WAY too often.Β It also seems to react in a strange way when you get it - it's like as soon as you come across it, you'll get it another 2-4 times in a row after that, almost guaranteed.Β This is the encounter: "You push over an old fallen log and watch as the woodlice and other creepy crawlies scurry about looking for cover." I did a few tests, and you can see the results below. There's around a 23% chance to run into this encounter over everything else based off my studies. It's especially ludicrous since this has been labeled as not a bug, just a problem with lack of content. If that's the case, at the very least, they should adjust the percentages to assure this particular encounter doesn't occur as heavily. There are other encounters out there, not just woodlicewoodlicewoodlice. If you want to test for yourself, use this link to report how often you get this encounter. My tests: 1st round: Tundra, 21 out of 79 (26.58%) 2nd round: Tundra, 12 out of 70 (17.14%) 3rd round: Tundra, 18 out of 68 (26.47%) 4th round: Tundra, 13 out of 60 (21.67%) Average: 22.97% Thank you for reading, and have a good day/night! ^^ |

Thank god for this post! You already saw my hilariously timed woodlice tallying thread, but the fact that this has been reported 3 times and marked as "not a bug" every time is frankly ridiculous. Whether it's a bug or not, this encounter is very obviously higher than the others in the tundra, prairie, and grasslands biomes, and it should be lowered. If anyone else would like to test the rates of woodlice on these three biomes, feel free to post in this thread to pool our findings together: Make sure to have 100% energy, do not fight any animals or do anything else that can lose energy, and feel free to choose energy regeneration options as the OP did. We need to get to the bottom of the woodlice. |

I'd never heard of or noticed this encounter before, so I just went to the prairie to test it out. The first 5 encounters were of the woodlice log!!! It's been posted to the bugbox but apparently it's "not a bug". What the heck? |

Support, even if the replacement is more uneventful encounters. I saw this encounter 3 times in a row, I just want to read something else, pretty please. |

Oh god. I never realized just how prevalent it is specifically because I barely read flavor text since it's so repetitive - you learn all of them after like 2 days of exploring a biome. I checked for myself and you're right. I got it 4 times in a row at one point. That's absurd. |

I am giving total support. If you have a feature in a game that has repeatedly been reported as a bug, it might be time to change it... |

The other day I got this encounter like, 5 times in a row, finally a different encounter, then got the encounter again. There are now biomes I avoid because it is SO prevalent there. |
